Chapter 333: Dungeon Hunting
’Only four more days... is left before it ends.’
"Four days and 3 hours..." Sighing Dhruv replied.
Hearing the master’s reply, Aurora took a sigh of relief, which promptly got everyone’s attention. Achieving what she wants she opened her mouth,
"Master, I think the dungeons you conquered might not be counted toward completing the quest..." Saying this, Aurora looked at Dhruv, but for some reason, she found her not that surprised by the news.
"Well, I was thinking the same thing... after all, those dungeons never closed down. They can be considered as still open."Dhruv replied as everybody nodded their heads.
All of them had reached the same conclusion.
"As expected, master... what I’m trying to say is everyone should at least try to close a dungeon on their own. The rewards the cosmos gives during these quests are very rare, and one should always try to get the best reward they can."
"I agree with her, master," Vexar replied, totally agreeing with his sister even though his reason was different.
’The reward... they indeed are great... something not worth giving up..’ Hearing her words, Dhruv began thinking for a moment.
If their conclusion was correct, then none of the guardians would get any reward... Dhruv wasn’t exactly worried about himself, remembering the interesting things he had done in between.
They were enough to ensure he would get a decent reward.
"So, if they were to complete a dungeon on their own... how much reward do you think they would get?" Knowing the extent of her knowledge, Dhruv asked Aurora.
"Nobody knows the exact metric Cosmos used to judge an individual... but if they were to clear an entire dungeon on their own, then the least they would get is a ’Great’ reward. There is a small chance of getting ’Superb’ as well."
"A gold chest is guaranteed... there is a small chance of getting a diamond chest..." Whispering these words, he glanced at everyone’s face.
Except for Vexar, who was already ready, all of them were waiting for his permission. Permission might be wrong... they were waiting for his order to be precise.
"Master... before you make any decisions, I want to tell you something..." Alaric urged, muttering in between.
Dhruv nodded not having any problem.
"When we all were gone to the dungeon, an attack happened on the island by the monster from below. So, I think you should consider the safety of the island before making a decision." Alric added showing concern about his master’s subject.
"Some sea monsters attacked the island... are those the ones who attacked the tribe during their journey!?" Dhruv asked a frown appeared on his face.
"Yes, master. Lyra herself confirmed this." Alaric nodded.
"Hmmm! Now this could be problematic. They already followed the tribe to our island and attacked the people twice... this can’t continue." Dhruv paused,
"...Have you located their dungeon?" he asked, determined to finish the culprits without any mercy.
Hearing his master’s words, a satisfactory smile appeared on Alaric’s face as he replied, "Of course, master. They aren’t that far. Seven kilometers north, and you will find their dungeon."
’I think we found out our first dungeon...’ Making up his mind, Dhruv looked at Aurora.
"What do you think, Aurora? Should we all leave the island to attack the dungeon?" Dhruv asked, trying to judge her by the answer she would give.
"Of course, master... all of you can leave. Since Grec and I are not participants in the quest, we can stay on the island and take care of it," Aurora said, giving a thoughtful reply.
’Well, that didn’t go as planned...’ Dhruv thought not getting the answer he wanted.
From the question he wanted to judge whether the ice empress cared for the people of the island or not... but from the answer she gave nothing became clear.
"Good... good! As you heard her, we will all close a dungeon... can you do it..." Dhruv asked looking at everyone.
Everyone nodded having confidence in their strength.
Smiling Dhruv looked at Alaric and asked, "Do you have any idea about other dungeons?" Dhruv asked.
"Master, I know of three dungeons... one with the sea monsters, one could be the slime dungeon we found during our visit to the mainland, and another one is around that area as well..."
"Well, that sorts things out then... you can take the slime one, Vexar will take the one beside that, and Azarex can take care of the one in the sea," Dhruv said, selecting dungeons for them.
Everyone was about to nod their heads when Aurora interrupted, "What about you, master?"
"Me? Well, I can go with Vexar and look for dungeons... as you already know, I already have some achievements, so there’s no need to worry about me," Dhruv said, understanding her concern.
"That’s good, but I have another suggestion, master."
"What is it..."
"As we know, Alaric is only at Tier III, and there might be some problems if he takes on an entire dungeon on his own. So how about we do it like this: Alaric could take care of the monsters that are wandering in the sea and evolve..."
Looking at Alaric she continued,
"...After evolving, he can go to the mainland and find a dungeon. He might be our best option for finding an uncharted dungeon considering his speed."
Saying these words, Aurora looked at Alaric and was surprised to find him nodding his head.
"Master... Aurora is right... now that I think about it, I should evolve to Tier IV as soon as possible," Alaric replied, having no problem with the plan. Instead of having a problem, he was about to suggest this himself.
"If that is what you want, then I will take the one with the sea monsters in it. And Azarex, you can hunt the slimes."
Dhruv said, considering how the slime’s ability to multiply is perfectly countered by Azarex’s numerous undead.
"Is that alright, guys? No one has a problem with this, right?" Dhruv asked looking at his guardian.
"No, master... not at all..." Everyone nodded without any hesitation.
"Now that is out of the way... Vexar, I noticed you evolved to Tier IV... shall I see what you got?" Dhruv wondered looking at the demon lord.
