Chapter 248: The Beginning Of The End

"...." Seeing her shouting like that, Dhruv’s mother and every other guest in the room couldn’t help but turned to look at the origin of the sound.

"Sorry, young lady.. But I didn’t mean to do anything like that... and sorry for your loss, but don’t worry, I will compensate for it as much as i can." As an adult, Dhruv’s mother tried to de-escalate the situation as soon as possible.

Naina, however, didn’t pay any attention to her or her words; she just continued to stare at her phone as if nothing else existed in the world besides the piece of technology lying on the ground.

’Has she gotten into some kind of trauma... over a broken phone? No, this must to something precious to her.’ Looking at her unresponsive stance, worry began to form inside of her.

After seeing this response, Dhruv’s mother’s first guess was that this phone might be some kind of gift or something similar to that, considering her reaction.

Looking in her direction, she instinctively tried to put her hand over her shoulder to calm tbe lady down.

Slap!

"Get your filthy hand away from me..." A cold, unemphatic voice rang in the restaurant as Naina slapped her hand away.

Finally, Dhruv’s mother got a response from her... but the response was anything but helpful. She was about to say something but stopped as she heard her son’s angry voice coming from behind.

"What do you think you are doing?" Dhruv muttered, a calmness present all over his face.

This calmness was only on the surface as deep down Dhruv was controlling his urge to destroy every remnant of the girl in front of him. He was about to speak once again but stopped as he saw her mother staring at himself...

Sorry... but you need to know how to behave, lady. I know I have caused you damage, and I’m willing to pay for it... so why are you showing me this attitude?" With a calm expression, she tried to engage with Naina once again like a proper person.

Dhruv’s mother was trying hard to calm the situation down, but Naina... Naina, on the other hand, was doing everything but helping her.

"Hahaha... you buy me a phone... who do you think you are and who do you think I am... this ’phone of mine’ is probably far more expensive than your whole house." Saying this, she bent down to lift the phone

Grabbing the phone, which had a slight crack mark on the left bottom side, she showed it to them. The phone truly looked expensive, as every little thing on it was covered in gold... one could even see few diamonds here and there.

"..." At this point, Dhruv’s mother was truly at a loss for words. She hadn’t met these types of people until now... neither did she know how to deal with them.

She was about to say something when a sound interfered between them, "I-I’m s..o.rr.y, ma’am. Y..o.u should be going... your dad must be waiting for you."

With shivering words, the manager of the hotel tried to convince Naina to get away from here.

The manager wasn’t afraid of Dhruv to the point of telling the daughter of his employer to go away. What he was afraid of were the cameras that had been pointed toward her since her first shout. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

These cameras and the power they hold in the era of the internet was something that the manager knew very well... and had even learned how to respect them.

The reason it took him two minutes to arrive here was because he was away from the restaurant; otherwise, he wouldn’t have even let the matter escalated it to this point.

"You better know who you are talking to..." Instead of listening to his advice, Naina instead began to get angry at him as well.

"Of course, ma’am..." Saying these words, the manager got silent and quietly stepped a meter away from her.

’Something is definitely wrong with her... why is she this much angry over a broken phone.. This won’t do. I have to call him...’ Knowing that he won’t be able to handle her, the manager planned to do the next best thing... Call her dad.

Tring! Tring! Tring!

"Hello... Sir, there has been a problem here.." The moment it got connected, the manager began to explain everything he knew about the situation.

After explaining everything, he didn’t have to wait long for the order to arrive.

Okay, give her the phone," he heard a sweet, melodious voice from the other side. The manager wasn’t a bit pleased by it as he knew the man behind that voice very well.

"Okay, Sir.." Without having a second thought, he tried to pass the phone to her.

At first, Naina wasn’t in the mood to pick up the phone, but after founding out that her dad was on the other side, she didn’t have a second choice.

"Huhhh! Yes, Dad... Okay, Dad.." Saying these five words, she silently passed the phone to the manager and looked at Dhruv’s mother.

"I’m sorry, ma’am.. I was drunk and didn’t know what I was talking about..." Saying these words with a forced smile, she hurriedly got out of the restaurant.

"..." Dhruv’s mother was still lost over how it got resolved. Looking in her son’s direction, she was about to ask for clarity but was forced to stop as the manager interrupted them once again...

"Sorry, Sir, sorry, ma’am.. But I have to ask you to leave.. Don’t worry; any payment done by you will be refunded as soon as possible.." Saying these words to them, the manager signaled toward the door.

"Sigh! Fine..." Not having the energy to deal with anything, she accepted it and began to move out of the restaurant.

After leaving the restaurant, they wandered through and enjoyed the city for a few more hours. When they grew tired, they returned to their hotel and called it a day.

"Good night, Mom. Good night, Rani." Saying these words, Dhruv and Surya got to his room and began to sleep.

Looking at the ceiling a thought appeared in Dhruv’s head, ’So tomorrow is the day when things are going to explode...’
