Chapter 241: The Play
Finding some type of familiarity with her Dhruv began to think about it, ’Have I met her before...’
Having thought about it, he tried to recall if there was anything relating her to him. He tried to recall if he had seen the lady from the reception anywhere else, but to his disappointment, he couldn’t find a single clue about her during his entire journey to the room.
’Haven’t she said that she is working in some kind of play? Maybe I had seen some of her previous play videos online...or something like that.’ Thinking that this was the best possible scenario, Dhruv dismissed his feelings and began to settle in the room.
After settling the luggage, he looked at his brother and muttered, "Go get freshened up; we will leave early."
The city where Dhruv has decided to spend his holiday is Cyra, the capital city of the country Rones.
The city of Cyra is one of the cities popular as a holiday destination for people who don’t really love extravagant things and just want to spend some quality time with friends and family.
"Okay..." Saying these words, Surya entered the washroom and began to get freshened up.
While he was in the bathroom, Dhruv was thinking about which side of the city they should travel today. After five minutes of searching, he finalized the route they were going to take.
He was going to travel through the left side of the city today. He had decided to do that because there are multiple beaches along with an aquarium there. These weren’t the aquariums Rani was mentioning, as there weren’t any monstrous fish there.
"Monstrous fish... How does she can a fish be monstrous... I mean they could be massive, not monstrous... unless they brought a Cthulhu or Kraken... they wouldn’t do something like that right?" Dhruv giggled as he lay down to scroll his phone. The moment he opened a social media app, numerous posts began to flash on his screen, their content matching with the place he was in.
It would have been a great way to pass the time if it weren’t for the fact that almost all of them were advertisements for businesses located in the surrounding area.
Having no way to beat the algorithm, he decided to use the ads in his own favor. Dhruv decided to get some more information about the city through the ads... he was doing this to broaden his horizon for the places they can enjoy.

All types of things began to pop up in front of him. Bored as he was, he began to click on them and briefly read about each of them a tiny bit. After five minutes of scrolling, he finally noticed something worth his time...

Something clicked inside his mind as he saw the word "play" glowing on his screen.
’Hmm, is this the same play Lyra is a part...’ Having thought of this, Dhruv clicked on the "Click here" button with a hint of curiosity. The moment he clicked; a website began to load up.
’Why is the net slow all of a sudden...’ Dhruv thought as he looked at the screen in front of him. He was looking at a completely white screen with nothing on it... there wasn’t even a loading bar for the splash screen.
Seeing that there wasn’t even a loading bar, he had a feeling that maybe his phone was broken... but before he could act upon this thought, something changed on the screen,
’Why is it glitching all of a sudden now?’ The situation became even more strange as the white screen began to glitch. All sorts of colors began to flash and disappear in a very quick succession.
’RIP my friend, it looks like your time is up...’ At this point, Dhruv was almost sure that his phone was dead... but all of a sudden, the screen in front of him changed once again.
For a very brief period of time, the screen changed to that complete white phase... before loading the actual content of the website.
"Hmmm!" Dhruv muttered as he looked at the title of the play.
At the top of the screen, written was the name of the play in a very bold purple color. The name of the play was something Dhruv hadn’t heard before, it was...
... Born In Apocalypse.
Without pondering over the name, Dhruv scrolled down and began to read the summary of the play. After reading it for a while a simple thought appeared in his mind.
’This is quite basic...’ he found the premise of the story quite basic. It was something that was used in almost all the cinemas, novels, and anime.
The play would go like this: The world has gone through some kind of Cosmic evolution, and now there is some kind of status that is used by everyone to get stronger just by spending coins...
’Who the fuck wrote this nonsense... why would you use coins to increase the stats of a person... I mean how does this even make sense...’ Dhruv thought as he remembered the part of the description.
Not cursing the author anymore, he continues,
Anyway, after the evolution, one would get something like a quest as well, and it was mandatory that everyone pass the quest, or else the consequences could be very lethal.
Thinking these parts as boring he skipped over them and scrolled toward the bottom to see the list of the characters.
’This again...’ Dhruv was shocked to see that he wasn’t able to see past the information after the third quest. The list of the characters was empty as well, as if they weren’t introduced as well.
Even though he found it basic at first the more he was looking at the screen the closer he was felling to something....
