Chapter 234: Approaching Tempest

The sky darkened with swirling gray clouds as a thundersnow approached. Every second numerous lightning crackles with defaming sound.

The Snowflakes, heavy and relentless, filled the air, muffling all sounds except for the rumble of nature. Visibility was reduced to a blur as the relentless snowfall created a disorienting veil. In this cold hell, nature’s fury had finally unfolded.

Craaaacck!!

Booooommm!!

"Master, it is almost beside us..." Azarex cried as he saw that the ominous atmosphere was just 20 meters away from them, at this point. He was sure that if they didn’t do anything, it would absorb them in itself within fifteen seconds.

Craaaacck!!

Booooooooooommm!!

Breaking the ions, thunder strikes the ground.

"Azarex, how far is that cave..." Focusing on the mana, Dhruv muttered.

Closing his eyes, Azarex connected with the undead eagle, who had already reached the cave. Estimating the distance between the two, he muttered, "If we continue going at this speed, it will take us about a minute, master..."

"I don’t think we..." Before he could finish his words, lightning crashed just five meters away, startling Dhruv out of his wits.

Cracckkkk!

Boooooommm!

Shivering from the cold and the fear of being hit by it, Dhruv looked back. Seeing the monstrous chaos trailing just behind him, he decided to make a very risky decision.

Dhruv decided to stop sending the mana to the metal platform and instead focus on fully pumping the mana toward the other spell. He was doing this to increase his speed and hoped to reach the cave before the thunderstorm.

This would have been a good plan if there weren’t any associated risks. The risk being that the moment he decided to stop sending mana to the platform, it could disintegrate from reality at any moment.

Before letting go of the Metal Contrast’s mana, Dhruv began to compress its mana as much as possible to buy a few extra seconds.

"Here we gooo!!!..." Letting out a whispered command, he cut the mana for the platform and began to focus on strengthening telekinesis to get as much speed as possible.

Wooosshhhh!!

Cutting the falling snow in half, the platform began to increase its speed. In just a matter of seconds, the platform increased its speed twofold.

Craccckkkk!

Boooooom!

Clenching his teeth, he continued to pump compressed mana into the spell. He was about to heave a sigh of relief upon seeing the entrance of the cave in front of him, but the air stopped in his throat as he noticed something...

The platform below his feet had begun to fade out of existence. Knowing that this was going to be his last push, Dhruv put every drop of his mana into the spell and infused it into the platform.

The final push managed to accelerate the platform further... but their problem didn’t end there.

’Fucking hell...’ Dhruv cursed himself as he realized that he had done more than he was supposed to do. He was now directly going into the mouth of the giant cave.

One may ask what the problem is here. He will finally be in the cave before the thunder hits him. Isn’t that supposed to be a good thing?

However, the issue was that he was entering the cave at a speed of 200 m/s. Moreover, he couldn’t stop his acceleration, and the reason for that was that his platform had vanished.

Because the spell was of his only manipulate metal through telekinetic power, Dhruv didn’t have any way to stop his acceleration anymore.

’Am I going to turn into meat paste...’ Fearing the worst, he looks toward the cave to position himself correctly so as not to die at the very entrance.

While Dhruv was trying to correct himself, something else caught his attention. Like him, multiple more creatures had the same idea. Even Before activating his mana sense, he could see multiple monsters inhabiting the cave.

’What the fuck is going on? Is there no end to this bad luck of mine?’ Seeing the monsters in front of him, he couldn’t help but curse the bad luck that had plagued him for no apparent reason.

Dhruv was about to change his direction ever so slightly to get away from the caves when an idea suddenly sprouted in his brain...

Taking the Superman potion, he put his hand in front of his head and transformed his nail into Obsidian claws.

Woooooosssshhhh!

In just a matter of seconds, Dhruv entered the cave like a Superman. Although his entrance resembled that of a hero, the thing he was going to do was anything but worthy of Superman.

Boooooooommm!

[You killed..]

Boooooommm!

[You killed..]

Boooommm!

[...]

Booommm!

[...]

Monster after monster exploded into pieces as he continued to collide with them. Looking at the bloody path he just created, a smirk appeared on his face.

’Now this is what I call hitting two birds with one stone...’ Dhruv thought as he felt his speed decreasing at an impressive speed.

Booomm!

The sound echoed in the surroundings once again as the man came to a stop.

Crack!

Boooomm!

"Master, are you alright?" mixed with the sound of thunder, Azarex’s words echoed in the cave.

"Yes, I am alright, but did you survive..." Dhruv asked with a slight concern as he couldn’t see him around.

"Y-yeah, there is just a slight problem with me, master." he heard a carefree voice coming from his left side.

"And what might be that problem..." saying these words, Dhruv turned left, trying to find his second guardian.

Before Azarex could say anything about the problem, Dhruv saw them live, with both of his eyes.

"WHAT THE FUCK, AZAREX, ARE YOU ALRIGHT..." Shouting, he hurriedly ran toward the area where Azarex was... not exactly Azarex but his pieces.

"Nothing, master, just connect all the joints, I will be as good as new..." Azarex whispered as if he was struggling to talk.

Nodding his head, Dhruv quickly began to connect all the pieces. He had broken into so many pieces that if Azarex wasn’t there to guide him, Dhruv was sure that he wouldn’t have been able to fix him back.

Phew!

He heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that his second guardian was once again all together.
