Chapter 166: Key Of The Second Floor
A group of humans were fighting a type of green monster. While most of them were fighting, some were also who were watching over the hunters.
Suddenly, one of the ones who was keeping an eye on the hunters frowned as he felt a peculiar connection within himself. He quickly turned over to look in a particular direction.
’Is that old man Mark?’ Dhruv thought as he began to feel a new type of connection coming through this mark.
’It must be him. After all, he was the one who had gained a mark and had gone to evolve. Does that mean he has already evolved? Hmmm! I can feel the connection between us has become stronger,’ Dhruv smiled as he thought of these points.
Without wasting any time, he quickly connected telepathically with this new connection.
[Old man, is that you?]
Even though Dhruv was ninety-nine percent sure that it was the old man, he asked just in case his guess was wrong. He didn’t have to wait for long as he got a quick response from the mark.
[Yes, my lord, it is me. But where are you? How are we able to talk?]
’So, it is indeed the old man,’ Dhruv thought. He wanted to ask everything about his evolution this instant, but somehow, he controlled himself and gave the old man his location.
[We are talking through the mark. We are in the north village. Come here fast.]
After saying these words, he quickly cut the connection and began to focus on the hunt. Even though there were others to keep tabs on the hunters Dhruv wanted to fulfill his duty.
At this instant, a group of six people was hunting the boss of the third goblin’s village. This wasn’t the same group the old man was a part of no, this was a totally new group.
Totally new because, every time there had been a new group formed and this was true with the second goblin’s village as well.
Dhruv had decided to approach the idea of creating a new group for every village because he wanted hunters to familiarize themselves with hunting in a group.
Hunting a tough monster together is the best way to get familiar, or at least that’s what Dhruv believes. Till now his tactics have been quite effective, to say the least.
Dhruv noticed as a slash from the group’s main swordsman managed to make a quite deep attack on the monster’s neck. After that attack, everyone got out of the way, and within a minute, the monster died due to blood loss.
When the boss died, a sound of applause ran through the forest once again. Noticing the happiness on the team’s faces, he quickly approached them.
Dhruv stood before the group of six, his eyes filled with nothing but praise for them. Without wasting any moment, he approached the leader of the group and the one who had contributed the most.
"I must say, Hilger, that swing of yours was pretty good. If you weren’t on the team, it would have taken them some more time to kill that thing," Dhruv didn’t shy away from praising the main hero of this battle.
"Uhhh! It’s nothing, my lord. This has been achieved all thanks to the other members and, most importantly, His Grace Vexar, who took some time to teach us a few of these moves."
While saying this, there was a look of pain that had suddenly appeared on Hilger’s face as he approached the last sentence. Dhruv quickly understood that the man in front of him was pleading to save him from that hellish training.
"Ohh! Nice. You are learning from him. Well, in that case, I will remember to tell him to focus on you ’more’ so you can reach new heights as soon as possible," Dhruv said with a sinister smile on his face.
"There is no need for that, my lord. Really, there is no need for that," Hilger quickly replied as he imagined himself burning in hot lava.
"Haha, I was just joking," Dhruv mentioned as he noticed the color of Hilger’s face fading away.
"..."
"So, Hilger, have you reached Tier 3?" Dhruv asked with a serious expression.
"No, I don’t think I have reached Tier 3. Let me check... So, I have reached Level 17, another 3 levels before I can evolve my class once again," Hilger didn’t have any problem disclosing his status information to Dhruv.
"Good," with a slight nod, Dhruv began to approach the other party of this team.
He quickly praised them while also mentioning the mistakes they had made during the hunting that could have cost them their lives in a normal situation. Everyone was happy to receive feedback from someone who was versed in battle.
After talking for a while, he instructed everyone to take an hour of rest. Dhruv was cautious enough not to let them become overwhelmed by constantly making them fight monsters.
While the group began to move to a less bloody place to rest, Dhruv signaled Alaric to store all the monster’s corpses. Alaric quickly reacted to the order and began to move from one shadow to another, collecting corpses in his shadow.
While Alaric was collecting the ordinary monsters, Dhruv himself began to move toward the corpse of the boss goblin. After reaching the monster, he didn’t do anything and just began to wait. It didn’t take long before a magical thing happened.
But the magical thing wasn’t happening outside and that’s why Dhruv had to activate his mana sense to see it. After activating the mana sense he began to carefully observe the phenomenon in front of him.
He noticed that the mana inside the boss monster began to get sucked by some force. All the mana that was sucked didn’t go away from the monster’s body; no, instead all the mana in his body began to appear at the place where the monster’s core of the goblin was.
As the mana reached the core of the monster, it began to condense rapidly, and within a few seconds, a second mana core or something like that formed on top of the monster’s chest.
’Huh! The third item drops from the monster in this real-world.’ Dhruv joked as he picked up the cigar-shaped object from the top of the goblin’s chest.
The core-type object was the only thing that dropped like an item in a game, and even then, only the bosses of the villages dropped these things.
The core was very shiny almost like a diamond, and Dhruv was sure that if he placed that thing in a dark room and threw some light over it, it would light up the whole room from just its reflection.
Picking up the core, he brought his glass out from the ring and began to look at it to find its description. He was lucky enough, and on the third try, he was able to see the information he was looking for.
"[Name: Dungeon Core of Goblin Forest (First floor)]"
"Ahh! The third core has been acquired, now one left to go," Dhruv thought aloud as he began to head back toward the area where the people had gone to rest.
While he was walking, he suddenly had a thought,
"Will the description of this core be the same as the other one? Uggg! Probably they would be the same except for some part in its description," Dhruv thought as he remembered the full description of the first dungeon core.
---------
[Name: Goblin Forest Core (First floor)]
[Rank: Unknown]
[Tier: Unknown]
[Description: The Goblin Forest Core (First Floor) is an item that will be formed after killing the unique boss [Lesser Goblin Boss]. This Core had been formed from the boss monster of the goblin boss, which resides in the east part of the first floor. Collect four of these cores, and you can advance to the second floor.]
[Enchantment: Forest Portal]
[Forest Portal: Place this core in the box beside the portal of the first floor. When all the cores are placed in the right location, the portal will be available for travel to the second floor of the Goblin Forest Dungeon. Good Luck.]

While walking toward the people, he suddenly noticed a man coming towards him with a smile all over his face. Looking at the man, Dhruv was confused for a second as he couldn’t remember who he was.
Although he didn’t know everyone on the island by their name, he was sure that he knew almost everyone through their faces. Still, with a confused mind, he looked at the happy man.
Suddenly, a thought came to his mind as he noticed a few points about the man.
"Is that the old man?" Dhruv forgot to close his mouth as he spoke aloud.
While he was still in a daze, the old man appeared in front of him. When Dhruv looked at him from this close, he knew that it was indeed the old man.
"WOW, you sure changed a lot in just a day," Dhruv was clearly impressed by the power of evolution.
