Chapter 153: Time To Increase The Number Of Guardians

From his memory, Dhruv instantly realized what the original emblem looked like.

All the Cooper family emblems are made out of wood; this was the first uniqueness of them. In the middle of the emblem, there lies a bird that resembles that of an eagle. On either side of the bird are two symmetrical circular objects that look more like wheat spikelets. On top of the eagle’s head lies a beautiful picture of an emerald gem, producing its ray. The rest part of the emblem is adorned with intricate details that can’t be expressed in words.

"Cooper family?" Dhruv blurted out as he looked at the rough sketch of the emblem in the notebook.

"Cooper family?" Alaric repeated in confusion as he didn’t understand what this Cooper family was supposed to mean.

Knowing that Alaric didn’t know about any of this he explained, "Yes! That was the emblem of the Cooper family. It is one of the four great families, and they each have their emblem as well..."

While Dhruv was explaining, he saw this as the perfect opportunity to teach Alaric about some of the outside world knowledge that he knows about.

It took him about ten minutes to teach Alaric about what he knew and what he needed to be careful about during his venture into the outside world.

After listening to all this Alaric turned to face Dhruv and said,

"But, master, isn’t the Cooper family a medical family? Why would they be interested in hunting these dungeons? Shouldn’t that be the work of the government or maybe the Parker family... or is it that the Cooper family is teaming up with the government to do the work?" Alaric asked.

"If that were the case, then, along with the Cooper family, there should be an emblem belonging to the government side as well. Did you notice one thing? I don’t think you have... Even the old man hadn’t mentioned anything about the government during his talk. Isn’t that weird?" Dhruv asked.

"It is indeed weird, my lord. Is it that this Cooper family wants to take control of everything from the government, and for this purpose, they were collecting coins to mass-produce strong humans," Alaric said while having deep thoughts.

When Dhruv listened to Alaric’s thoughts on this matter, he thought this was too much, but he also didn’t neglect the whole thing as there may be some truth in this matter as well.

Planning to think about this matter some other time, Dhruv stood up and began to move toward the tent’s opening.

The moment Dhruv stood up, Alaric swiftly removed the shield and began to follow Dhruv.

After walking for a while, Dhruv met with the island’s higher-ups and began to meet regarding how things would move from here on out.

In the meeting, he mentioned a few things:

The first and most important point was that there was no need to have a luxury house at this time. They only needed a house that could easily let them sleep in peace and protect them from the cold. If it weren’t for the fact that winter is coming, Dhruv wouldn’t have even pressed about building a house.

The second thing he mentioned was to create a team of members who are capable of making items or those who have other jobs besides battle-related classes.

Dhruv wanted this team, So he could start the manufacture of staff and weapons with magic properties in them and many more applications. There was also a need for some lighting sources on the island.

The third thing he mentioned was to create a fully functioning slime farm as soon as possible so he could start earning money and evolve the humans as soon as possible.

After saying these things, Dhruv entered the dungeon. His purpose for entering the dungeon this time was to check on a few things.

First of all, he wanted to see if the corpses would still be there after this much time, or if they would have disappeared. Dhruv also wanted to wander into that cave, and if there was enough time, he even wanted to explore the spider dungeon to see what it had to offer.

As he traveled toward the goblin village, he began to have some thoughts about the reports he had received this morning.

The Cooper family has shown up in the city next to me, and they are aware of the fact that we live on this island as well. On top of that, they even have an army of soldiers with them. This time, they aren’t lacking in anything. Will they attack us, or will they not mind our presence?

The more Dhruv thought about this, the bigger the frown that appeared on his face. He could stay calm in this type of situation.

Should I attack them from my side? But what if they aren’t here to attack me, and my attack triggers a war between us... then what? And Even if I attack and manage to kill their army, then who would be responsible for clearing out the dungeons?

My rash decision could lead to a very unfortunate outcome and result in the failure of the third quest... What should I do? I couldn’t just sit around either and wait for them to take the first attack.

What if they really have a motive to attack us? Should I send a mole into their group? The trio can’t become the mole, and anyone else has a chance of getting killed during this mission."

Dhruv sighed as these thoughts weighed on his mind.

As he thought about this, only one solution came to his mind.

’Man, I have to increase my strength as soon as possible,’ Dhruv thought as he clenched his fist.

"But how could I increase my strength multiple times in one month... How?" With the thought of increasing strength, it didn’t take long for this question to appear as well.

When this thought came to his mind, Dhruv instantly remembered the trio’s faces, and he got the idea of where the next source of his strength would come from.

"It’s time to increase the number of my guardians and give the trio some brothers as well." With a smile on his face, Dhruv increased his pace.

After walking for a while, he finally reached the place where he had killed all the goblins.

When he looked down, he found that there weren’t any corpses left in the hole or outside the hole. There weren’t any signs of being dragged on the ground either, confirming that no predator had come here to take the corpses.

"So the corpses disappear after some time," Dhruv thought as he turned to look at the place where he had killed the Berserk goblin.

Even the Tier 2 monster’s corpse was nowhere to be found.

"What a waste." Clicking his tongue, Dhruv looked at his map and began to look for the next place he was going to visit.

He was looking for the cave and his next target..
