Chapter 121: Everything Planned
The sun was about to set, and there was already an orange hue that was spreading all over the world. Dhruv and the crew were sitting on the roof of the bus, constantly keeping an eye out for monsters who might be attracted by the sound of the vehicles.
Many cars and bikes were left on the road by their owners. To prevent any problems, the driver was maneuvering the truck in a way that would push any vehicles on the road either to the left or right side.
Dhruv was constantly communicating the directions to the driver through his mark. He was telling him directions after looking at the map, this was the same map he had acquired after spending a skill point. While giving directions, he was also admiring the beauty that this destroyed city held.
Dhruv has consistently kept his mana sense active to detect any living beings within the range of his radar. But he hadn’t caught anything in his vision yet, while observing his surroundings, suddenly, a particular area caught his attention.
As he looked, he discovered that the building he was observing was damaged beyond repair. From the view he could get he was sure this wasn’t caused by some monsters, No... He was sure that this was the work of humans.
While constantly moving he couldn’t see beyond the walls of these buildings, but he was certain that after the row of buildings in front of him, there was nothing further, like everything there was brought down by something. This strange phenomenon seemed to have affected the buildings around him in a circular pattern.
While Dhruv was looking at these buildings, he suddenly recalled an event that had happened on the first night of the Second quest.
’Don’t tell me they dropped those bombs here,’ Dhruv thought as he examined that peculiar part of the city
When this thought comes to mind he suddenly wants to jump from the roof and investigate why the government had chosen to bomb that area, but due to time constraints, he has decided against it and remained seated there.
Even though he didn’t get down this thing has piqued his interest very much and he was sure to come and check when the time will allow.
Time passed slowly, and finally, Dhruv reached the end or beginning of the map. He told the driver to stop the truck and began looking for the mall. He this hardest and even got to some height after creating a metal pole yet, he couldn’t find the mall he was searching for.
Getting no clue, he instructed the driver to continue down the road, after judging on the base that a mini truck could go that area smoothly. Dhruv thought of this because if the gang was continually using this path then there wouldn’t be obstacles left on the road and he just had to follow that clue.
The driver complied, and within 10 minutes of driving, Dhruv spotted the mall where he had stored their food supplies, previously. He had the truck stop there and began to enter the mall.
When Dhruv had previously visited this place, he had restrained himself from looting everything, ensuring that anyone in need of food could find it and fill their stomach. However, this time, there was no restraint on his face. He simply looted everything and packed it into Alric’s shadow.
Dhruv also made his way to the section where tents were sold and gathered fifty of them. After looting everything, he instructed Alaric to locate a tall building and search for the general direction of the sea.
After receiving a general location from Alaric, the group started moving in that direction. After a few more minutes of driving, Azarex began to receive signals from the undead he had left to wander so they could search for water while they were searching for food. From that point on, Azarex took on the responsibility of providing the location, allowing Dhruv to fully enjoy the view.
While doing so, he began to revise his plan.
After getting captured by the gang, when Dhruv first meets these people, at that time he doesn’t see anything in them and is just planning to leave them here when he completes his goal. And that goal was looting everything that the gang possessed.
But everything changed when he saw those slimes and their perfect ability to generate infinite coins. In itself, those coins were worthless, but after investing them, one could increase their strength manyfold.
From that point on, he began to view the people in the gang’s captivity as his people—individuals he could bring to the island and transform into his own citizens.
These people were essential to make the most of his farm. After all, he couldn’t kill the slimes by himself all the time. But the problem remained: why would these people follow him, a total stranger willingly? That’s when he devised another plan after observing the gang.
The gang became the perfect tool he could utilize to manipulate them and build a connection with the people. With the plan in place, all he had to do was execute it effectively, and he would get another two hundred people on his side.
Following the plan he kills everyone in the gang and after brutally eliminating Tom in front of everyone, he ’finally reveals’ the true strength of himself and his group in front of those lowly, worthless, and weak people. All the plan he did was to make himself their savior.
Dhruv couldn’t have dreamed of how smoothly everything had gone, and now...
Now, they were all headed to the island where Dhruv would create a farm with the help of those slimes and the hunters. There, he would cultivate coins to maximize the tribe’s sats to their fullest potential before they could evolve. His current goal was to reach at least 100 levels in one stat.
These two hundred people weren’t only going to be used to make money; no, they would also play a role in the resource-gathering program of the third quest. Based on the knowledge gathered from previous quests and the information he had obtained from Lyra, Dhruv had a rough idea of what to expect from the third quest.
A creepy smile began to form on their face as he remembered everything. The smile on his face almost reached his ears as he looked at his surroundings...
