Chapter 113: Guess who I found?

"Wall of Forests," Thala whispered as he stomped his foot on the ground.

Countless branches and tree trunks sprouted from the ground, gradually encircling the warehouse from the inside. Within half a minute, the wooden barrier had grown to a thickness of at least half a meter.

"Aggghh! What is this..."

"Call the guards, someone..."

"Please, don’t kill us..."

"...."

"...."

Panic swept through the crowd, and the pleas for mercy began to echo in the surroundings. Some among them even thought about launching spells at the crew but hesitated when they noticed Dhruv.

"SHUT UP!" Dhruv’s voice thundered.

The command silenced everyone instantaneously. They couldn’t quite explain it, but their instincts warned them that even a single act of disobedience would likely lead them to their death.

"If you want to live, stay quiet and remain within this shield," Dhruv instructed, he wasn’t in any mood for debate.

"Thala, you and your group stay here and alert Alaric if anyone breaches the shield, understood?" Dhruv commanded as he looked toward Thala, who was busy maintaining the spell to keep the shield in place.

"Okay, my lord," Thala and the rest of the group affirmed in agreement.

Dhruv shot another intense look at the group before turning and making his way toward the gate.

The people were still on their edge, but then, surprisingly, the old man rose from his mattress bed and addressed everyone with a sigh.

"Why don’t you all calm down and let the young man help us?" he proposed, before settling back down on his mattress and trying to get sleep once again...

...

Vexar swiftly sliced through the growing woods, preventing the people inside from leaving. However, the moment he cut down the wood, new branches and trunks sprouted in rapid succession. Before the wooden barrier could fully regrow, the trio managed to escape the room.

As they burst through the door, they were met with two guards who seemed to have anticipated intruders the moment they heard the commotion. Without hesitation, the guards opened fire.

Bang! Bang! Bang!...

Dhruv wasted no time in creating any shields, knowing that the ammo couldn’t harm him. During their attack, Vexar cut one of the guards in half, while Azarex used a strange spell to drain the life out of the other.

Even in death, they couldn’t rest in peace, as Azarex swiftly resurrected them from their slumber. Once turned into undead beings, Azarex would have armed them, but he lacked weapons at the moment, so he allowed them to use their guns.

’I felt a pinch from that attack," he thought, pondering its implications. ’Does that mean...?’ He gazed at Azarex and inquired,

"What was the name of his class?" Dhruv inquired.

"Novice Gunman," Azarex replied.

"Hmmm..."

’Does that mean his class provides a damage boost for gun attacks? I guess we can’t afford to be careless,’ Dhruv thought. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

"Make sure not to underestimate their attacks," Dhruv cautioned, even though he knew they weren’t as reckless as he was. He said it just to be safe.

The two of them nodded and started walking in different directions. Each of them headed in a separate direction to speed up the mission’s completion.

...

Huumm~~ Huummhhuu~~

Dhruv was leisurely strolling while humming when he finally encountered the gang.

The gang had received prior notice through the walkie-talkie and was under orders to eliminate any unrecognized individuals on sight. As a result, the first gang member raised his AK-47 and opened fire at Dhruv.

Tun! Tun! Tun!

The clanging sound of metal striking metal echoed throughout the area as the bullets fell harmlessly after hitting a metal shield.

The attacker was momentarily taken aback by Dhruv’s rapid spell-casting, and as he prepared to fire his gun again, he was further stunned when he noticed that the metal shield was advancing toward him. In an instant, the shield reached him and sliced him in half horizontally.

The gun remained aimed at Dhruv, but there was no one left to pull the trigger, anymore.

"Haggh..!"

"Haggh..!"

"Haggh..!"

Dhruv couldn’t explain it, but he noticed that the gang had suddenly begun to shout. The gang quickly began to bombard him, this time instead of casting a shield he opted to evade their attacks by maneuvering around the attack and began sprinting in their direction.

The gang noticed the change in direction and fired at Dhruv once more, but their attacks were once again stopped by the shield. However, this time, the shield wasn’t closer to Dhruv, No... this time a wall of metal had materialized in front of the gang, stopping the attack.

The gang momentarily stopped the attack due to the appearance of the metal wall and attempted to circle around it. However, the wall vanished, leaving them face-to-face with a man brandishing a spear.

Dhruv had created the spear using the same spell he’d used to create the wall and the spell was [Metal Construct]. Without hesitation, he lunged forward and executed a powerful thrust, stabbing the person in the middle.

A crescent moon shape manifested on the victim’s body as he died instantly.

Dhruv swiftly erected a metal wall on the left side to obstruct any attack from the left when his focus was on the remaining gang members to the right.

The moment they noticed him they wanted to flee but stopped after realizing that turning their backs on him wouldn’t end well. .

In a desperate attempt to defend themselves, they pulled the triggers of their guns, but no bullets were fired. A sturdy metal cap had materialized inside each gun barrel.

It would have caused limited harm if the guns had been in semi-automatic mode, but they were not, and the result was truly horrific. The guns exploded in their hands, obliterating them completely.

Aggggggghhhh!

Aggghhh!

Their cries of pain were also silenced when their heads were violently severed from their bodies.

When he removed the shield he found out that, the individuals who had been on the left had fled and managed to create some distance between themselves and Dhruv, although they hadn’t gotten very far.

Dhruv considered using his Multiply ability to improve himself but stopped when he recognized a familiar face among the fleeing gang members.

He quickly killed everyone except for that individual using the Metal spears. He then caught the person and approached them, a chuckle escaping his lips as he confirmed that he was right.

Even though he knew he was right he asked just in case,

"Are you the one who took the sword from that red-haired man?"

"...." the man was silent at first, but when he saw that the man in front of him was half serious he said,

"....Y-yes.."

"Hahahah! I knew it." Dhruv laughed out loud.

He quickly made a connection with Vexar and said,

[Vexar, guess who I found?]
