Chapter 105: Immortal gang of doom

Dhruv’s eyes continued to twitch for a few moments, and then his consciousness fully returned to his own body. Even when his consciousness returned to him he didn’t immediately open his eyes, fearing that the gang might be monitoring him.

’Why did I wake up from the sleep? Did it not work on me as expected?’ he wondered, momentarily confused by the fact. After thinking for few more seconds he remembered something...

’So, I woke up because of the illusion resistance skill,’ he finally understood what was unique about his situation.

Dhruv still kept his eyes closed for a while, but eventually, he couldn’t resist the urge and began to open them slightly. He did so cautiously, ensuring that even if they were monitoring him, they wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

As Dhruv looked at his surroundings he was disappointed to realize that he had placed too much hope in the kidnappers, and there didn’t seem to be anyone monitoring him.

Sigh!

’Why did I think so highly of him and why am I being all happy for waking up it not like I know where I’m going. I can’t just remember all those roads, Right!?’ Dhruv was thinking of a plan. Then suddenly, he realized there wasn’t any need for him to recall anything in this world, where skill reigns supreme.

He swiftly opened the skill purchase menu and bought a skill related to maps.

[You have learned the skill, Map Maker]

The instant he obtained the skill, a small virtual map popped up in Dhruv’s field of vision. He imagined it growing larger, and that’s precisely what occurred.

When the map expanded to fill Dhruv’s entire field of vision, he stopped its enlargement and began looking at its contents. Currently, the map appears entirely blank but the more he moved the more black lines appeared on the map. The black line was tracking his path and they painted them as black lined on the map. There was even a small blue dot indicating his current location.

Although this skill was impressive, it had its flaws as well. If Dhruv closed his eyes for more than a minute at once, the map would stop recording anything. Additionally, there was no way to mark any specific areas on the map.

Despite these flaws, Dhruv felt content with the skill and believed that it would surely improve its features the more it evolved.

With routes marking themselves automatically, he was starting to get bored. Dhruv attempted to contact everyone telepathically to check if anyone was awake but to his disappointment, he discovered that everyone was still asleep.

He wanted to eavesdrop on the gang, but it turned out to be pointless as well. The gang would either stay quiet all the time or just talk about things that weren’t useful to him.

After driving for about ten minutes, the gang finally started to slow down. When Dhruv noticed the decrease in speed, he tried to peek at the surroundings through the corner of the window.

What he saw was within his expectations. They were approaching an underground metro station. Dhruv wanted to note the name of the station but he almost died of cring when he noticed the name on the plate.

"Immortal gang of doom"

This was the name the gang had decided to name themselves. A few seconds later vans finally stopped in front of the entrance gate.

Right from the gate, two members of the gang started to emerge, each holding a wheelchair. Without delay, they unloaded two of the crew members onto the wheelchairs and began taking them underground. Dhruv was fortunate and was selected as one of them.

As he was being secured in the wheelchair, Dhruv kept his eyes shut. It was only when he moved away from the sunlight and entered the station’s darkness that he cautiously cracked his eyes open to assess the situation.

The instant he peered, Dhruv discovered a significant number of guards stationed at the entrance, armed with heavy weaponry. There were heavy machine guns positioned at the entrance, with two individuals stationed at each corner. From their expression, he knew they weren’t just for the show either.

’How did they get their hands on such heavy weapons? Did they raid a police station? No, even the police don’t stock these kinds of weapons at their stations. Do they have ties to terrorists or some organization like that?’ he wondered.

Dhruv was indeed taken aback by the sight, but it just came as a mild surprise. After battling three hordes of monsters, there were very few things that could genuinely scare him.

Past that checkpoint, the premises were still heavily guarded, but this time, the guards carried SMGs or AR guns—nothing as scary as those heavy machine guns.

A minute or two later, they arrived at a somewhat empty room, illuminated only by a few tube bulbs hanging from the ceiling.

Upon entering the room, his driver roughly threw him onto the ground and hurriedly left to fetch more people. As soon as he was placed on the ground he noticed Vexar entering the room as well. And he was subjected to the same treatment.

’They are fucked man.’ Dhruv mused as he looked at Vexar and remembered what they had done to him. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Dhruv swiftly blinked his eyes twice and activated his mana vision to its maximum extent once more. This time, the results were vastly different from anything he had seen earlier in the day.

He spotted a gathering of at least three hundred men and women just beyond the room, all ranging from tier 1 to tier 2; there wasn’t a single tier 3 individual among them.

’Are these the people they’ve kidnapped?’ Dhruv pondered, his mind raced as he tried to find the reason they were holding such a large group of people here.

’I suppose there’s no point in getting worked up. I’ll discover the reason soon enough,’ he thought.

Dhruv didn’t have to wait long, as within ten minutes, everyone had been brought into the room. Once all the crew members were laid out on the floor, the gang members began splashing water on everyone to rouse them from their sleep.

When they noticed that everyone had regained consciousness, the gang’s leader approached and spoke in a sinister tone...

"Allow me to tell few rules you must follow if you wish to stay alive,"
