Chapter 307: A Dream
Knock~! Knock~!
"Mmh?"
Fang Raon sleepily opened one of his eyes and looked towards the door, where he had just heard a sound of knocking.
’Who could it be this late?’
He quickly used Read and sensed two girls—Chaewon and Della—standing on the other side of the door.
’What do they want?’
He wondered, climbed out of the futon, and walked over to the sliding door and slid it open.
Dressed lightly in their night attire, Chaewon and Della looked lovely. They were only wearing simple t-shirts and shorts.
"Did we wake you up?"
Della asked with a worried look.
"No, but I was about to fall asleep. Is there something wrong?"
Fang Raon asked.
"It’s too early to go to sleep, don’t you think so? Let’s hang out, okay?"
Chaewon asked with a smile.
’Too early... It’s eleven at night, so I wouldn’t say it is too early. I feel like Chaewon is planning something.
’I could find out more if I used Read on her, but Rock told me not to use Read on everyone, as it’s disrespectful, and I would be stealing her privacy.’
Fang Raon thought.
He then let the two girls in and closed the door.
Della grabbed the knee-high table from the corner of the room while Chaewon pushed the futon against the wall.
They then dragged the knee-high table to the center of the room and sat down with Raon, taking his place at the other side of the table.
"I found this from Rock’s room."
Chaewon said with a smile, and she took out three cups and a bottle of strange-looking alcoholic drink.
"You mean you stole it?"
Fang Raon asked with a wry smile.
He thought that Chaewon was playing with fire because if Rock found out it was her, he was going to explode.
"Hehe, we’ll be leaving this place soon anyway. What’s the worst that he could do?"
Chaewon said with a smirk.
Fang Raon and Della looked at each other and decided to stay quiet, as Chaewon really had no idea.
She then poured all of them a drink.
"How’s the training been, Raon?"
Della asked.
"Good. Rock is currently teaching me how to shield my mind from Read users."
Fang Raon said.
It was the only thing about Read that he currently didn’t know how to do, but since he awakened Read already, shielding the mind was supposed to be the easier part.
According to Rock, at least.
"I am not quite familiar with this Read and stuff. You aren’t talking about reading books and stuff, right?"
Chaewon asked.
"There is a thing called Five Pillars of Power—that includes Maxima, Read, Reach, Skydance, and Godspeed—they’re something anybody can learn, doesn’t matter what level the person is.
"Read is a power to sense presences and read a person’s thoughts with nothing but a look at their facial expressions."
Fang Raon said.
"Really? That sounds fascinating... So you learned Read already? What am I currently thinking about?"
Chaewon looked at him with a smile, and Fang Raon looked at her and used Read, but what he saw made the corner of his lip twitch.
"I shouldn’t say that aloud."
He said since they weren’t alone with Della here, he kept his thoughts to himself.
"Hehe~ let’s drink!"
Chaewon said.
They took their cups, brought them to their lips, and drank them, but immediately hot liquid traversed down their throats.
It felt like the temperature in the room increased by tenfold as all of them suddenly felt hot, and their faces turned bright red.
As if they were standing under the sun.
"This is... really strong."
Chaewon said while having some difficulty speaking.
’I am immediately quite tipsy.’
Fang Raon thought.
"Yeah... grandfather likes strong stuff."
Della said with a forced smile.
She wasn’t much of a drinker and didn’t like the taste of the alcohol, especially since she had a low tolerance for it.
Everything around her started to spin, and her cheeks flushed pink, and she barely was able to sit straight.
Chaewon and Raon didn’t notice her current state.
"You’ve been spending all day here. What about your work?"
Fang Raon asked curiously.
"I have a flexible schedule these days, but next week I do a lot of work lined up. Luckily, we’ll be heading to the 15th floor in a couple of days.
"I hope I can reach that place before I have to go to work."
Chaewon said with a smile.
"You’ll love the 15th floor. Rose Records is located in a beautiful mansion. The entire floor is really gorgeous, with snow-covered mountains and aurora borealis flashing across the sky every night.
"Stars and the moon are always visible from the balcony, and the sunset views are absolutely breathtaking."
Fang Raon said.
He was quite a bit missing that place.
"Sounds lovely..."
Chaewon said with a smile.
She could remember the pictures that Raon took for her, and she wanted to see those sights with her own two eyes.
"Hey... R-Raon..."
In that moment, they heard a drunken voice and saw Della walking on all fours, like a dog, towards Raon.
Her face was flushed red. Without a doubt, she was drunk. They were surprised to see her in this condition after just one drink.
"Della...?"
Fang Raon looked at her.
’She can’t handle alcohol? That’s so cute.’
Chaewon giggled to herself.
In that moment, Della grabbed Raon by his shirt, and suddenly, she sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"H-Hey... R-Raon..."
She stuttered and spoke like a shy schoolgirl with her crush.
"Hey..."
Fang Raon visibly panicked and looked over to Chaewon, afraid that she was going to explode with anger.
However.
She was sitting with one arm touching the floor, and she was leaning against that arm and just watching with a smile on her face.
"...Chaewon?"
At that moment, Della grabbed his face, made him turn to face her, and then kissed him forcefully on the lips.
"Mmh!"
Fang Raon’s eyes widened in a shock, and he quickly turned his face to the side, breaking free from the unexpected kiss.
"Wait, Della!"
"D-Do you... n-not... like me?"
Della asked, tears welling up in her eyes, and Raon’s heart had a slight tug at the sight of her distress.
But he couldn’t.
He was in a relationship.
In that moment, Chaewon hugged him from behind and whispered in his ear, "It’s alright. I know you like her, so go ahead and accept her feelings."
"Are you drunk too?"
Fang Raon looked at her with confusion, unsure of how to respond.
"Hehe~ no, I am completely fine. I’ve been spending the last week with her, and she is a sweet girl who truly cares about you.
"She also said all about what the two of you have done... Kissing and all that... You’re only in a relationship with me because I made the first move.
"If I had waited, you would be currently in the relationship with her. Della and I talked a lot about stuff...
"And we decided to share you!"
Chaewon said.
"...Excuse me?"
Fang Raon thought that something clogged up his ears, and he misheard, as what she just said was insanity.
Then, Della pushed him down to the floor, and her shoulder-length blond hair dangled in his face as she straddled him.
"She is very drunk... Are you sure..."
Fang Raon asked, still hesitant.
"This is what she wants. The drink just gave her extra courage. That’s why I brought the drink, but I didn’t expect it to be so effective."
Chaewon said with a wry smile, and she then put Raon’s head on her lap and gently stroked her hair in a soothing manner.
Della then leaned close and started kissing him on the neck, sending waves of pleasure down his spine.
"Rock is so going to kill me..."
Fang Raon said while biting his lip.
"You have two beautiful girls with you here, and you are thinking about that old fart?"
Chaewon asked with a twitching smile.
Fang Raon looked at her and chuckled slightly.
She didn’t know that if Rock found out what they were doing, he was literally going to march to the Fang Village to kill him in the flesh!
"Come on, let’s enjoy the moment."
Chaewon said and caressed his cheek.
She then looked at the drunken Della, touched her forehead, and whispered, "Detoxify," and suddenly, Della’s drunkenness disappeared.
Della suddenly looked clearheaded and noticed that she was sitting over Raon’s groin, in a very suggestive posture.
Her face turned bright red with embarrassment.
"Umm... umm... umm..."
"...Della."
Fang Raon whispered her name, and she looked at him and felt her heart pumping against her chest.
She turned her hands into fists, gathered her courage, and then leaned close and pushed her lips against his.
"Mmh..."
Fang Raon’s eyes widened in surprise and then closed as he melted into the kiss.
The kiss was awkward. Nothing like Chaewon’s. It was a very inexperienced kiss, but it was very sincere.
’This is insane...’
Fang Raon thought as he struggled to keep his eyes open.
Not long ago, he couldn’t even dream of having a relationship, and now, he was with two incredibly beautiful girls who were both interested in him.
It was like a dream that he didn’t want to wake up from.
