Chapter 283: Black Cat

After the quite eventful night, Fang Raon dedicated his next week to catching up with training.

With Aurel’s Blade Massacre skill acquired, he’d been practicing it tirelessly to get it to level 3.

However, just like Raizen said, upgrading Legacy Skills was painfully difficult, and so far, he had reached only 50% at the first level.

It was still much better than with Aurel’s Blade Dance, which was still stuck at zero.

He was slowly learning dancing under Maquella’s strict guidance, and also, he was slowly getting better understanding of Read.

It wasn’t only Rock that was teaching him daily. Aizen, his father, also surprisingly kept teaching him without getting frustrated.

At first, Raon thought that his father wouldn’t have that much time to spend training him, but he was wrong.

Aizen spared one hour of his day to teach him.

Which he appreciated.

Meanwhile.

Fang Raon created yet another character—his third one—and this time around, he yet again chose the Mage class.

He chose it because it was a class that was perfect at assisting during the raids while also having decent combat prowess.

It took him a couple of days, but he again reached level 2 with the Mage character, but this time around, his class name was quite different.

Wizard’s Apprentice.

He also received Innate Skill—Born With Mana—which increased his mana capacity and magic attack power by 5 percent.

It wasn’t as good as Heat Gaze, but it was an extremely rare Innate Skill either way, and he couldn’t expect to get one as good as that one.

Anna and Raon made quick work of the floors, and currently, they have already reached the 5th floor of the tower.

...

STOMP! STOMP!

A monster, made of tree bark and leaves, ran forward like a human sprinting down a hundred-meter track.

The monster looked like a tree. Except it had green eyes and sharp, twisted branches reaching out as arms and green hair.

It was the boss of the 5th floor.

"Come on, you tree bastard!"

Anna grinned, and as the tree monster wound up a punch, she dodged to the right and kicked it in the knee.

"Urgh!"

The tree monster let out an angry roar, and it swung its arm at her, but she used Read to dodge the blow.

She was able to see that swing of an arm coming from a mile away!

"Slip Ground."

At that moment, Fang Raon’s grimoire flipped open, and one of the pages started glowing beautifully.

In that moment, the ground under the tree monster turned slippery, and it suddenly slipped as if it were covered in ice.

"Great Chop!"

Anna chopped her sword down, and the tree monster’s eyes widened in a shock as it watched as the sword came for its head.

It didn’t have time to do anything, and the sword chopped off its head.

Swoosh~! From the ceiling, a treasure chest dropped next to the tree monster, and Anna smiled happily.

"We did it, brother!"

"Whew..."

Fang Raon made the grimoire disappear and saw the stairs appear in front of them, leading to the 6th floor.

With this, they’ve successfully completed the Newbie Floors!

Anna shoved the treasure chest into her inventory without checking what they got, as she already wanted to head over to the 6th floor.

She’d been impatient to get out of the Newbie Floors.

"Let’s go, brother!"

She grabbed Raon’s hand and dragged him behind as they walked up the stairs and then went through the door above.

Swoosh~! And just like that, they left the Newbie Floors behind.

...

A black cat, perched on the windowsill, stared down at the streets below, where shorts and bikini-wearing people walked along.

It was night, but the city never died even later at night, as people on this floor liked to party till the dawn!

It was the ever-so-famous 6th floor.

In that moment.

Right before the black cat’s eyes, two figures appeared from light. It was such a surprising sight that the black cat jumped off the windowsill in shock.

"Finally."

Anna smiled as she looked around the streets, taking in the beauty of the city at night.

"...This city never gets boring."

Fang Raon thought out loud.

"I am supposed to meet some of my guild members here tomorrow. I have a place here, a villa over at the beach. We can stay there meanwhile."

Anna said.

"Okay. How long are you planning to stay on the 6th floor?"

Fang Raon asked curiously.

"Hmm... I don’t know. I do want to get to the 27th floor, but I think we’ve been non-stop fighting for the past week. I think we deserve a little break."

She said, and then tugged on Raon’s sleeve and started leading him towards the beach, and the closer they got, the busier it got.

The open bars were at full swing, the music was blaring, and people were dancing everywhere. Couples were kissing outside, some were swimming in the water, and others were playing beach volleyball.

It was a scene straight from a movie.

"Hmm..."

Fang Raon opened his interface and quickly unequipped his magician’s robe and changed into something light.

Just a blue shirt and beach shorts, which he had purchased over at the fourth floor, and a pair of sandals.

Seeing him do that, Anna did the same and changed out of her armor and put on something light.

She wore a skintight shirt, a pair of shorts, flip-flops, and a sun hat. It made her look quite stylish and casual.

In that moment.

Over at the beachside bar, a group of friends were sitting together, but they were gaining quite a lot of attention.

It was mostly because of one woman in particular, who stood out like a firework on a dim night, because of her immense beauty.

It didn’t help that she was wearing a beautiful bikini dress with a colorful sarong that flowed effortlessly in the wind.

Truly a beautiful human, thought other people in the bar, and they couldn’t tear their gaze away from her!

"Ahh!"

Kevin gulped down a drink and let out an exaggerated "ahh" as he felt like his entire mouth was burning.

It just lasted for a short while, though.

"The drinks in the tower sure are strong..."

He thought.

Beside him, Bobby was enjoying a chicken plate and a soda. He wasn’t much of an alcohol drinker.

"I’ve heard about the beauty of the 6th floor for a long while now, but now that we are finally here... It’s more amazing than I ever could have imagined."

Aella said, and sucked on a straw as she took a sip of her soda.

Their group arrived at the 6th floor just earlier today, and they’ve been just sightseeing around the city.

They didn’t even feel like leaving this floor anymore!

"I-It’s nice."

Marina nudged her glasses, and even she was wearing a bikini, but there wasn’t much to show, as her chest size was rather small.

She looked at the gorgeous woman beside her and felt very self-conscious, and then checked out Kevin and saw how he was constantly throwing gazes at the gorgeous woman.

"If you all want, we can stay over here for a while. Spend some time at the beach, et cetera. I think it’ll be fun."

Kevin said.

"Sure, but..."

Aella turned to the gorgeous woman and wasn’t sure whether she liked staying here, as there was someplace she wanted to go.

"What do you think, Chaewon?"

She asked.

"Hmm~"

Chaewon tapped her chin and saw how all of them really wanted to stay here, but she was conflicted.

She really wanted to reach the 12th floor as soon as possible.

However, she wasn’t the only person in the group making decisions, and she didn’t want to force everyone else to leave just for her.

"I don’t know..."

Chaewon said.

In that moment, someone walked over to their table. Someone they hadn’t seen before. A young man with black hair and blue eyes.

"Can I help you?"

Kevin asked with slight hostility.

He saw how this young man was just staring at Chaewon, and it made him piss off, and if this guy tried something, he was ready to get banned if it meant protecting Chaewon.

"Chaewon..."

The young man said with a soft voice.

Chaewon’s eyes widened in shock as she recognized the voice, and she then turned to look at the young man.

Her eyes turned wet immediately, and with a huge smile, she jumped to her feet and, in front of everybody, hugged him tightly like they were the only two people in the world.

"RAON!"

She happily screamed.

Shocked, Raon stood still like a frozen statue, feeling the two soft hands wrapped around him, barely able to think straight.

He didn’t expect to see her so suddenly!

Chaewon’s friends were shocked as well, and they heard the name "Raon" and immediately realized that this young man was the famous boyfriend!

’This is the guy...’

Aella’s eyes sparkled, as she had always wanted to meet the man who managed to steal Chaewon’s heart.

While they were hugging, there was a rather pissed-off-looking young woman standing over at the entrance of the beachside bar.

Anna, gritting her teeth like she wanted to chip them off, stomped her flip-flops against the wooden floor.

"Why is this... bitch here..."
