Chapter 218: San vs San
Seoha’s POV
Each second that passes in Taesan’s office makes me want to go home.
My eyes drift to the clock above his head and I almost start to cry...it’s been only one hour since we came here.
I thought it would be over four hours.
Being here is really boring and I am getting tired of stifling my yawns.
Taesan is sitting at his table. His long fingers are buried in his hair, his frameless glasses are sitting on his nose, and his attention is fixed on the documents he’s going through.
He occasionally mutters something under his breath and scribbles in another book. At times, he would make or accept a call.
His tone, posture and mood are completely professional.
I thought being a CEO would be fun. I thought all he has to do is sit in his fancy chair like it’s a throne and give orders like he’s a king.
I thought he’d just...relax.
Fully bored and tired of sitting around, I pull out my phone and start to scroll through my apps.
My fingers take me to the popular social media app where I can watch short videos. I log in and then type in my favorite group’s name.
There are so many videos here, fan edits, funny videos and performance fancams.
Carried away, I start to scroll through and stop at some thirst traps of the main dancer in Ateez.
He’s really attractive when he dances and even more attractive when he sings.
’His voice can heal all my childhood trauma’ Minjae used to say.
I put my thumb between my teeth as I enjoy the view, grinning at the fan edits and giggling whenever funny videos come up.
I miss when Minjae and I used to enjoy these videos together. We’d laugh and joke and...I haven’t heard from Minjae since I ran from the hospital.
Again, I am a horrible friend. I should place a call and see how he’s doing.
Suddenly, my phone is snatched out of my hand, and I blink in confusion as I look up to find Taesan scowling at me.
"You’re looking at...this?" he asks and I try to snatch the phone back from him, but he turns his back on me.
"Taesan!" I call his name and he turns around, glaring at me as he holds my phone up.
"Choi San?" he asks and my cheeks grow red.
The last video I was looking at is a popular compilation of a dance move we all like. Taesan shouldn’t be looking at that.
"Give it back" I whine and he scrolls to the next video...another thirst trap.
"Why are you looking at that" I complain and he looks at me like a man would look at a cheating spouse.
"Is he more handsome than me?"
I can’t answer that, so I fold my arms and pout, falling back into the seat like I’m upset with him.
"Yah, look at me" he says and I turn my head away, praying to the moon goddess that my tactic to distract him would work.
"You’re looking at another man, and you’re the one pouting?" he asks and I sigh dramatically. "You keep bullying me because you’re taller than me" I accuse and he blinks.
Those glasses, those broad shoulders, and that confused look on his face...he feels too human, too perfect.
"What are you talking about? You’re the one looking at another man" he says, waving the phone in my face, and I snatch it, giggling like a menace as I hide it behind me.
"You little-"
"It’s mine!" I laugh as he starts to tickle me and I hide my face in his shoulder, trying to stay out of his reach and also stay in his hold.
"You’re mine, you should be looking at alone. Why are you looking at that man?" he huffs, still tickling me and making me laugh.
"I was looking at you too! I’ve been looking at you all morning" I gasp for air between fits of giggles.
"I’m the only ’San’ you have to look at, only me" he says and I place my hands on his shoulder to push him off.
The sensation of his fingers digging into my sides is getting overwhelming. My cheeks are starting to hurt, and I might pee my pants if he keeps doing this.
"Stop..." I wheeze and he stops, looking at me with soft eyes that makes me blush.
I can never get used to his soft side.
I love and I need it, but being more familiar with his other side makes me shy whenever he’s soft with me.
"This is boring, isn’t it?" he asks and I nod honestly.
"Hmm...sorry, would you like to go home? Should I ask Junho to bring the cat?" Taesan asks and I gasp.
"There’s a cat?"
"That Minjae...Minsu? Mingi?"
"Minjae? Minjae isn’t a cat" I start to laugh again, throwing my head back at the expression his face.
"That cat-" he starts.
"Human" I interrupt and he gives me a glare.
"Why is he so annoying then?"
"Because he loves loudly. Yah, that’s my best friend and our baby’s godparent, be nice" I run my fingers through his hair, and he shuts his eyes briefly.
"I’ll try" he grumbles, resting his head to mine. We stay like this on the uncomfortable chair, breathing each other’s air.
"Is everything okay?" I ask and he hums.
"Business" he says before getting up, but not without ruffling my hair.
And as if he was expecting it, someone knocks on the door as Taesan adjusts his suit, soothing out the rumpled parts.
"Sir, it’s time for the meeting" someone says and I look up at him with questioning eyes.
"Can I come?" I ask.
"I would hate to have you feeling uncomfortable" he says and I shake my head.
"I’ll be fine. I just want to be near you" I say and it’s all it takes to convince him because he helps me out of the chair.
"Okay, come on" he says before leading me out.
I hope I don’t have a panic attack again...
