Chapter 1149: Into the Divine Realm (II)

The blinding cocoon hanging in the sky of the Seventh Layer of Hell pulsed with increasing intensity, its radiance growing until it became impossible to look at directly. The air trembled under the weight of its power, and the laws of reality around it seemed to warp and bend as if struggling to contain what lay within.

Then, without warning, it collapsed inward, vanishing from the Higher Dimension where most of the physical universe existed. To any observer left behind, it was as if the warriors within had simply ceased to exist.

Yet inside the cocoon, the experience was anything but an end. The True Depravitas, the White Death, and Altharion felt themselves engulfed by waves upon waves of multicolored light.

These were not mere visual phenomena, but currents of power so profound that each carried fragments of cosmic truth. They could sense it instinctively—they were not simply traveling across space or even time, but traversing dimensions, crossing layers of reality that existed beyond the comprehension of ordinary beings.

Even Vlad, whose mastery over the Law of Space was unparalleled among his peers, found himself unable to fully grasp what was happening. He narrowed his eyes, focusing on the shifting patterns of energy, trying to decipher even a fragment of the principles at work, yet they eluded him entirely.

"These are Empyrean-level laws," he muttered, his voice calm but tinged with quiet frustration. "I have a long way to go before I can even perceive the principles behind them, much less gain insight."

Despite the admission, there was no bitterness in his tone. Instead, he simply exhaled and allowed himself to observe, absorbing what little he could alongside the others. There was no shame in recognizing limits—only in refusing to grow beyond them.

Nearby, Odinvaldr watched them with a faint, approving nod. The Divine Realm stood on a level far above the Higher Dimension, and arrogance here would only lead to destruction. It pleased him to see that Vlad and the others understood this instinctively, that they did not let their past victories blind them to the vastness that still lay ahead.

The journey stretched on for what felt like an eternity, though in truth it lasted just over an hour. Gradually, the overwhelming lights began to fade, their intensity diminishing until only a soft glow remained. The oppressive currents of power receded, replaced by a strange stillness that made the group instinctively draw in deep breaths.

They could feel it.

They were about to arrive.

A quiet tension spread among them as anticipation built. Even beings of their caliber—warriors who had stood at the peak of the Higher Dimension—could not suppress the sense of awe rising in their hearts. The Divine Realm, the domain of the Primordial Gods, was a place that countless existences had dreamed of witnessing, yet almost none ever could.

At last, the cocoon came to a halt.

Slowly, it unraveled.

The layers of light peeled away, dissolving into nothingness and revealing the world beyond.

Silence fell over the group.

Not a single one of them spoke.

What lay before them surpassed anything they had imagined.

The first thing that struck them was the radiance. It was not a harsh or blinding light, but a pervasive, all-encompassing glow that seemed to permeate every inch of the realm. It carried warmth, power, and an indescribable purity that resonated with their very souls.

Below them stretched a vast landmass, so immense that even their enhanced perception could not grasp its full extent. It was a world of breathtaking beauty and terrifying complexity. Crystalline forests shimmered like living jewels, their branches refracting light into countless colors. Strange, majestic beasts roamed those lands, their forms both elegant and imposing, each radiating an aura that hinted at immense strength.

There were oceans unlike anything they had ever seen, their waters moving in patterns that defied logic, as if guided by unseen forces. In some regions, perpetual flames burned with the intensity of miniature suns, their heat and brilliance contained within perfectly stable boundaries. Each phenomenon, each region, was governed by laws that were far more advanced and refined than anything in the Higher Dimension.

Overlord’s eyes narrowed as he focused on the structure of the realm itself. His perception delved deeper, analyzing the composition of the land, the air, and the energy that flowed through everything. Suddenly, a flash of realization crossed his mind, and his voice broke the silence.

"This... this isn’t made of the four classical elements," he said slowly. "Earth, wind, water, and fire... none of those are truly present here."

The others turned toward him, their expressions sharpening.

"The entire realm," Overlord continued, his tone filled with awe, "is formed from pure, pristine Divine Power."

A ripple of shock passed through the group.

They were all familiar with Divine Power. It was the fundamental force wielded by Gods in the Higher Dimension, a resource both potent and rare. Yet what lay before them was on an entirely different scale.

A single forest in this realm contained enough Divine Power to create multiple Divine Kingdoms. The energy within even a small portion of the landmass could give rise to a myriad of Gods. The sheer density and purity of it defied comprehension.

For a moment, awe dominated their thoughts.

Then, gradually, it gave way to something else.

Caution.

They all understood a simple truth: the greater the power of a place, the greater its dangers. In the Higher Dimension, even the weakest among them had been formidable, capable of surviving in the harshest battlefields through strength and strategy. But here, in the Divine Realm, they were no longer apex predators.

They were newcomers.

And potentially prey.

Odinvaldr turned to them, his gaze steady and commanding.

"Follow me to my Sacred Kingdom," he said.

His voice snapped them out of their thoughts, grounding them once more. Without hesitation, they moved, ascending alongside him into the sky.

The heavens of the Divine Realm were no less magnificent than the land below. Ethereal clouds stretched across the firmament, glowing softly as they drifted. As the group passed through them, the scenery shifted dramatically.

Beyond the clouds lay a vast, star-filled expanse.

Lights streaked across the sky like shooting stars, moving with incredible speed and leaving trails of brilliance behind them. It was mesmerizing—yet something felt... off.

Almost immediately, frowns appeared on the faces of Vlad and the others.

As they rose higher, a powerful pressure descended upon them, pressing down with immense force. It sought to halt their ascent, to push them back toward the land below. The weight of it was staggering, far beyond anything they had encountered before.

Before it could fully take hold, a surge of light erupted from Odinvaldr. His power enveloped the group, shielding them from the oppressive force and allowing them to continue upward without resistance.

Only then did they begin to truly understand what they were seeing.

"A dome?" Vlad asked, his voice low but filled with curiosity.

Odinvaldr nodded.

"That is correct. It is the Divine Vault," he explained. "It contains the sun, the moon, and the stars of the Divine Realm. But its most important function is far greater—it prevents the loss of energy. No matter the scale of destruction within this realm, no energy is ever truly lost."

The group exchanged glances as understanding dawned.

If the Divine Realm had been accumulating energy for countless ages without any loss, then it was no wonder its power was so vast. The very structure of the realm ensured that its strength would only continue to grow over time.

They continued their ascent, passing through the Divine Vault.

And what awaited them beyond was even more astonishing.
