Several giants had no time to react. Their swinging big sticks and giant hammers remained lodged in the battlements, unable to retract as they faced the judgment of death.

Each massive horse-slaying heavy blade reached its destination ahead of its owner. In the presence of the giant heavy blade, capable of slicing through everything mortal in the world, even the stone-armored Stone Giants were powerless to stop it.

But these Giant Subspecies were never a concern for the Imperial Guard warriors.

The Clay Golems’ resistance to heavy weapons was slightly better and more agile, often only enduring a few blows before accelerating, utilizing their giant species’ innate abilities to start rampaging through the enemy.

One by one, the golems engaged in a life-for-life massacre amidst their own rapid depletion.

The orders given to the golems were to kill all these Giant Subspecies, with their damage not being a concern for the Elemental Soul.

Seeing this support arriving, the Storm Giants were revitalized. Led by Giant Garcia, they too brandished their weapons, roaring as they joined the fray, seeking to eliminate the giants’ minions and then unite in driving the giants away.

The battle erupting behind did not affect the Imperial Guard warriors.

Each facing the encroaching giants with their backs to the city, they pulled their weapons from the ground, the blood-red, dim gauntlets gently wiping over the heavy blade’s edge, allowing themselves to be surrounded by giants.

With the actions of the Imperial Guard warriors, the once razor-sharp blade ignited with the Light of Heart Energy. The magic core on the horse-slaying heavy blades was activated by the Imperial Guard warriors.

A burst of blood-colored flame spread along the long blade, covering the entire blade. Under the output of the Magic Core, the surging flames emitted a silent vibration, resonating with the humming blade.
