Chapter 512: Chapter 37: Have You Been Beaten? (2)

As the leader for countless years, Maid’s words carried great authority, blending advice and warning, silencing the young Storm Giants around him.

These Storm Giants wore simple short-sleeved tunics cinched at the waist, with some having headbands tied around their heads. Occasionally, a few would wear simple jewelry and rings, but almost all preferred to wear their favorite ornament—anklets, as they liked being barefoot.

In the presently silent venue, the sound of anklets clinking continuously indicated that these young Storm Giants were not subdued, especially regarding their resentment towards the Giant, Mogyes.

"After discussing with the tribesmen, I’ve decided that the entire Storm Giant Tribe should relocate from this place, head towards the distance, and find a new foothold,"

Maid cast his gaze over the silent young Storm Giants, announcing this decision.

The surrounding adult Storm Giants remained silent, clearly already having reached a consensus.

But the young Storm Giants surged again, as this act of abandoning their homeland to flee was difficult for them to comprehend.

Apart from those overly weak races, in this world, almost all powerful races harbor deep feelings for their homeland, regardless of the reason.

Even within the Dragon Race’s heritage, there are examples of Giant Dragons who, despite possessing the ability to escape to the Star Realm and other worlds when facing world-ending crises, are unwilling to leave their home, as if it’s an obsession engraved in their bones.

"Even if we can’t handle Mogyes and his hounds, we can retreat into the sea to temporarily avoid their sharp edge, and look for opportunities to counterattack,"

Garcia could no longer remain calm, raising his neck to voice his doubts.

The Storm Giant species can freely breathe underwater and use their innate spell-like abilities there too.

Even in the sea, they can run and jump; although living in the sea long-term might cause issues, most of them originally prefer living on land, so Storm Giants barely qualify as amphibious Giants, thus Garcia’s idea gained support from many young Giants.

"Don’t disappoint me even more, Garcia," Maid’s usually calm tone became particularly severe, and his powerful presence reminded the young Storm Giants of the fear they once felt as children under the elder’s control.

"Mogyes’s ambition exceeds his power; he wants to unite all the Giant Species and become the King of Giants. Ruling this land is just the beginning,"

"He won’t spare the Storm Giant Tribe; if we don’t leave here, unless you become the Biaoting Venerable, you won’t be qualified to face Mogyes’s strength,"

Maid straightened his slightly bowed back and declared loudly: "Go, pack your things, and head north along the sea, until you see the place where Giant Dragons rise and fall in the sky, that’s where we will temporarily stay,"

"I hope that our once youthful Red Dragon friend still retains the enthusiasm and friendship for us Storm Giants. As the leader, you must comply!"

The many young Storm Giants dispersed, leaving Old Maid and ten adult Giants standing still.

"Go on, you also prepare, Mogyes will not give us much time to delay, to let these young ones venture further, we might have to go through a dangerous battle!"

The ten tall adult Giants also returned to their caves.

Maid gazed towards the towering peaks of the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range, seemingly able to see through the forest, seeing the majestic palaces rising among those towering mountains.

Those are the Giant Royal Court palaces built under the command of Mogyes, the so-called King of Divine Giants, using the enslaved Giant Species and monster races of the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range for him.

This is a giant stone hall entirely piled up with rough mountain rocks, the unpolished edges of the huge rocks making this palace exceptionally wild and unrestrained. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

One by one, gigantic stone basins were burning with vigorous flames, dispelling the heavy humidity in the deep mountains.

In the central aisle of this rough stone hall, a thick layer of beast hide spread out, made from the fur of strong beasts and savage species in the mountain, simply sewn into a long blanket reaching to the depth of the stone hall, up to the Fine Steel Stone Throne also covered with the hides of extraordinary creatures.

A gigantic Giant, with a pair of sturdy arms resting on this Fine Steel Stone Throne, supports his cheeks, while another pair of arms is rubbing two massive white skulls, as if caressing his favorite toys.

At this moment, the Giant’s two skulls are lowered and closed-eyed, as if resting peacefully.

And beneath the Giant’s feet, there lies a massive Dragon pressed underfoot, hiding its features behind the gigantic throne, revealing only the back half of its body used as a footstool, with scales glistening in purple and a coarse, long tail drooping over the steps below the throne.

Tap, tap, tap

Subtle footsteps came from the quiet stone hall’s doorway.

The Giant dozing on the Fine Steel Stone Throne’s ears slightly twitched but did not open his eyes.

Until the footsteps gradually approached, a head slowly rose from behind him, turning around, that was the Giant’s third head, the Ever-Watching Head.
