Chapter 606: Unidentifiable

The route Steel Armor Falcon pointed out was far from a Awu avenue. Along the way, Qiao Sang encountered numerous wild pet beasts, including some at the General level.

Fortunately, Little Treasure had recovered much of his energy. When faced with an unbeatable opponent, he would directly use spatial shift. After about half an hour, they finally made it out of the area.

Without spatial shift, what would I have done…? Qiao Sang glanced back at the boundary of the pet beast habitat, feeling a sense of lingering fear.

She quickly thought of something, waved her hand, and recalled Lubao into the Beast master Codex.

"Xun xun..."

Little Treasure, realizing he no longer needed to multitask by using psychic power to control Lubao in the air, instantly had hos eyes return to their original color. He flopped down onto Yabao’s back, exhausted.

Suddenly, he caught sight of Gangbao, who had evolved and grown to about one meter in size.

"Xun xun!"

Little Treasure's eyes lit up instantly. He floated up and plopped down onto Gangbao’s back.

"Gang Guard."

Feeling the movement on her back, Gangbao thoughtfully slowed down, trying to fly more smoothly.

"Xun xun..."

However, after just thirty seconds, Little Treasure silently got up and floated back to Yabao’s back.

Yabao was still the most comfortable to lie on. Old Four was too hard...

Gangbao: ...

Qiao Sang was unaware of the little scene happening beside her. At this moment, she was checking her phone. After confirming that her route matched the navigation destination, she searched Steel Guard Falcon online.

The page loaded, but the results showed information about the Steel Armor Falcon instead.

Qiao Sang pondered for a moment and then searched, "How many evolution forms does Little Steel Falcon have?"

She quickly found the answer.

[One: Steel-Armored Falcon.]

Qiao Sang scrolled down and double-checked several times before finally confirming, Gangbao’s current evolution form, Steel Guard Falcon, was an entirely new evolutionary form.

Could it be that I’m the legendary chosen one? First, Yabao evolved into a brand-new form, and now there's Gangbao... Qiao Sang felt slightly dazed.

At that moment, her phone vibrated.

Incoming call: Tang Yi.

Qiao Sang snapped out of her thoughts and answered.

Before she could speak, Tang Yi’s voice blared through the speaker:

"You finally picked up! I tried calling you so many times, but you wouldn’t answer!"

"Maybe the signal was bad where I was earlier." Qiao Sang replied.

"Forget that for now." Tang Yi asked, "Have you reached 106 Awu Avenue yet?"

"No." Qiao Sang was slightly surprised by the question.

"Aren’t you there yet?"

That shouldn’t be the case. She had spent over an hour in the pet beast habitat. Given Paralulu’s speed, Tang Yi should’ve arrived long ago. Could it be that he also ran into trouble and got delayed?

Tang Yi had been itching to complain about his ordeal. Now that Qiao Sang asked, he wasted no time venting:

"You have no idea! I ran into a flock of Gray-Painted Sparrows! Do you know what those are? Advanced-level pet beasts! I got attacked by a whole flock of advanced-level pet beasts!"

"If Ms. Ai Lun hadn’t been following behind me, I’d have been skinned alive just trying to escape!"

Qiao Sang was silent for a few seconds, then said, "That’s… pretty unlucky."

"Tell me about it!" Tang Yi agreed wholeheartedly.

"Ms. Ai Lun said Gray-Painted Sparrows don’t usually attack people without reason. But today, they came at me the moment they saw me. I didn’t even do anything!"

He sounded a little aggrieved toward the end.

Qiao Sang silently glanced at Little Treasure.

Taking the same route, she couldn’t, in good conscience, tell Tang Yi he had encountered a different flock of Gray-Painted Sparrows. After all, high-level pet beasts didn’t appear in flocks that easily.

Seeing Qiao Sang go quiet, Tang Yi suddenly thought of something and asked,

"Did something happen to you on the way? Why aren’t you there yet? I thought you’d be the first to arrive."

Qiao Sang hesitated for a moment before saying, "I also ran into a flock of Gray-Painted Sparrows."

"What a coincidence!" Tang Yi was shocked.

"Is this route just swarming with Gray-Painted Sparrows?!"

Not a coincidence. We encountered the same flock… Qiao Sang coughed and changed the subject.

"Did you call just to check if I had arrived?"

"No."

Remembering the main reason for his call, Tang Yi said, "Ms. Ai Lun announced that this lesson is over. Students who haven’t reached 106 Awu Avenue yet won’t be considered for the top three spots. We can ask for help to get there now. The message was sent in the group chat, but you didn’t respond, so I called to let you know."

My points…

Although she had expected this outcome, Qiao Sang still felt an inevitable pang of pain.

"I got it." She replied, then hung up.

---

Following the navigation, Qiao Sang finally encountered other people on the road.

Initially, she was worried that Gangbao’s new evolution form would attract too much attention, just like when Yabao evolved into the Flame Hound.

But she soon realized she was mistaken. The passersby only took a quick glance at Gangbao before looking away, as if afraid to stare for too long.

Without giving it much thought, she continued toward her destination and soon arrived at 106 Awu Avenue.

A group of people came into view, it was her classmates from Senior Class 6.

She realized that everyone else had already arrived.

So I’m the last one… Qiao Sang dismounted from Yabao.

Her classmates gave her strange looks. They hadn’t expected her not only to not be the first to arrive but to actually be the last. Given her reputation, this speed seemed uncharacteristically slow.

"Qiao Sang, you’re finally here!" Tang Yi hurried over.

But the next second, he stopped in his tracks, staring at the unfamiliar pet beast beside her.

"Why does it feel like this wild pet beast has been following you?" He asked in a low voice.

"What wild pet beast?" Qiao Sang laughed.

"This is my Little Steel Falcon. She just evolved."

"What? Evolution?!" Tang Yi’s voice shot up.

"It’s only been an hour, and your Little Steel Falcon already evolved? That’s way too fast! Didn’t you just contract it recently?!"

"Gang Guard."

Gangbao gave him a mildly disdainful look. Such a fuss over nothing.

"When I contracted it, it was already close to evolving." Qiao Sang said with a smile.

Tang Yi muttered, "I almost forgot you contracted a wild pet beast…"

Hearing their conversation, the other students couldn’t help but laugh.

If Tang Yi had been paying attention, he would have noticed, it was the kind of laugh one gives to a fool.

"Do you believe everything Qiao Sang says?" Yuna stepped forward, voicing the class’s doubts.

"Little Steel Falcon’s evolution form is Steel Armor Falcon. It doesn’t look like that."

Tang Yi froze and turned to Qiao Sang.

"You tricked me?!"

Qiao Sang rolled her eyes. Without a word, she recalled Gangbao into the Beast master Codex, then summoned it again with a seal.

Seeing this, the students’ faces stiffened, expressions shifting between shock and disbelief.

"Why would I trick you?" Qiao Sang said.

Tang Yi felt a bit embarrassed and turned to Youna with a glare.

"You tricked me!"

Yuna ignored him, her face stiff and dazed.

"But… but Little Steel Falcon only has one evolution form, Steel Armor Falcon!"

Just then, their pet identifiers beeped in unison-

"Unidentifiable. Please scan again."

"Current pet beast not found in the database. Please update and retry."
