Chapter 871: Chapter 871: Top-Grade Jade Stone
An Mingji was internally opposed to returning to Nanmian; she had originally smuggled herself out from there.
Now, returning to her homeland brought back many memories she wished to forget.
Memories of the doctor who was like family to her, the familiar villagers, and the scenes of their tragic deaths during the chaos all flooded into her mind.
She feared the vivid red of blood and was reluctant to recall the doctor’s last admonitions to her.
Even though she didn’t want to go back, the shooting of "Women are strong" could not be delayed.
An Mingji lingered in the dormitory, packing up leisurely, before leaving with Lu Qing directly to the airport.
Nanmian.
At the jade stone trade fair.
An Mingji, Gu Jin, and Qiu Qianghai entered the trade fair accompanied by Allen, their special assistant.
Today was the first day of the opening.
Many had arrived early, and by the time they entered, the fair was already bustling.
Qiu Qianghai glanced around the crowded venue and chuckled lightly, "They say gambling on stones can make you rich or poor with a single cut. Betting on an increase in value can result in overnight wealth, but most bets end in failure; ’nine out of ten bets are lost’ is not enough to describe the situation."
"That’s true." Gu Jin agreed with him.
Among those present were people from major jewelry companies, as well as players who had long been interested in this field, and more gamblers hoping for overnight wealth.
The group took a stroll around the venue.
Gu Jin, due to her ability, could sense whether there was jade inside the stones set on the ground, on tables, and inside display cabinets.
Stones with emerald jade within would emit a colored glow associated with the jade inside.
This glow ranged from strands of dim light to vibrant, cheerful hues.
Yet none were the Royal Emperor Green Jade that Gu Jin and An Mingji desired.
"Wasn’t it said that the trade fair had stones capable of producing dilute emeralds? Just these?" Gu Jin asked disappointedly.
Qiu Qianghai glanced at Gu Jin and chuckled, "The Emperor Green Jade you want, I don’t know if it’s here, but the fair has another batch of top-grade stones that aren’t easily showcased to the public, only shown to buyers with the capability and sincere interest to purchase them.
If you want to see top-grade stones, you need to find the person in charge of the fair. They’ll verify our proof of assets to ensure we qualify to buy those high-grade jade stones, and oh, a hefty commission must be paid to see those top-grade stones."
"There’s such an avenue?"
Gu Jin was unaware of this.
An Mingji, standing beside her, was also hearing this for the first time. He signaled to Allen.
The latter quickly scanned the fair and soon locked onto a middle-aged man in a suit.
This man had entertained several groups since they arrived, groups whose appearance suggested they were not short on money.
Allen whispered a few words into An Mingji’s ear and turned away.
He headed towards the middle-aged man he had previously targeted.
An Mingji, Qiu Qianghai, and Gu Jin watched as Allen engaged in conversation with the man. After a brief chat, the middle-aged man glanced their way and even nodded respectfully.
After that, the man left with Allen.
Not long after, the two reappeared and approached Gu Jin’s group.
Allen returned to stand behind the Young Master, and the man instantly understood that the man standing in front of Allen was the one with the most authority in the group.
He didn’t rashly reach for An Mingji’s hand directly but extended his hand to An Mingji, Gu Jin, and Qiu Qianghai, positioning it equally among the three.
He was friendly, "Hello, I’m the person in charge of the venue today. My surname is Xin, but you can just call me Old Xin."
