Chapter 450: Chapter 450: Too Arrogant
Several sedans sped toward Gu Jiaojiao, but she remained coolly seated on her motorcycle, not even bothering to change her posture.
On the way over, Lin Mingjun had been in the car, spouting nonsense to his parents and sister about how he was going to destroy that caregiver.
The moment he saw Gu Jiaojiao like this, he was overcome with the desire to possess her. Without a word, he yanked open the car door and jumped out.
He had always known the caregiver was beautiful, but he never expected her to be so breathtaking.
Not only was her face gorgeous, but her figure was sizzling hot. A woman like her was the kind of knockout every man dreamed of.
Lin Mingjun was a lecher by nature, and the sight of Gu Jiaojiao was more than he could handle.
After getting out of the car, he lunged at her like a hungry wolf pouncing on its prey. But then he saw Gu Jiaojiao shift, crossing her legs the other way.
The sight made him stumble and fall flat on his face, getting a mouthful of dirt. It was a scene no one had expected, yet it was happening right before their eyes.
The truth was, as Lin Mingjun had gotten closer to Gu Jiaojiao, he’d suddenly remembered the time she’d beaten him so badly that even his own mother couldn’t recognize him.
He spat the dirt out of his mouth. Seeing that Gu Jiaojiao still hadn’t moved, he grew cocky again.
’We have more people this time,’ he thought. ’This little caregiver must be scared.’ The moment he came to this conclusion...
...he was instantly revitalized. Lying on the ground, he roared, "Little caregiver, if you kneel before me right now, I’ll let you off the hook."
Gu Jiaojiao looked at Lin Mingjun’s face, twisted with lust, and felt nauseous. She stood up straight, feeling the urge to vomit.
Before she could say a word, Third Aunt Lin lost it. She jumped out of the car and started screaming at Gu Jiaojiao.
"You vixen! You piece of trash! How dare you bewitch my precious son! I’m going to beat you to death today!"
Gu Jiaojiao glanced at the cursing Third Aunt Lin, feeling it was too much effort to even speak. She simply kicked her and sent her flying.
And just like that,
mother and son were lying side by side on the ground, spewing every nasty curse they could think of.
The several grandsons of the Lin Family were also children of wealth. They had received high-class educations since they were young and frequented upscale venues.
But a beauty as stunning as Gu Jiaojiao still managed to leave them breathless.
However, their great-grandfather had ordered them to come here and fight, so they had to suppress their awe.
They neither moved forward to surround Gu Jiaojiao nor helped up their third aunt and cousin. They just stood quietly by the cars.
Uncle Lin’s expression was incredibly foul. It was the first time he had ever seen his wife and son in such a disgraceful state.
’To just lie on the ground and scream curses without any regard for their image... they don’t even have the sense to stand up while they do it. This is utterly humiliating!’
His grandfather had once been the butler for a prominent family, so he had always been a man who cared deeply about face and valued personal cultivation.
Although he never explicitly demanded his descendants be models of refinement, the way he had raised his own son to be a man concerned only with frivolous romance spoke volumes.
The Lin brothers could guess their grandfather’s intentions. So, no matter how wild Uncle Lin was on the inside, he always maintained a cultured facade on the outside.
He never imagined his wife and son could be so vulgar in public. ’She’s a complete and utter shrew.’
The way his wife was acting now, she was just like one of those shrews who throws a tantrum by crying, making a scene, and threatening suicide.
It was all Third Aunt Lin’s fault for being so good at pretending. In front of him, she always acted like a virtuous wife.
He had long kept a mistress while doing business on the side. That mistress was not only young and beautiful but also gentle and considerate. She took such good care of him that he was always blissfully happy with her.
Several times, his mistress had sweetly and subtly suggested that he divorce his wife and marry her.
But he had always refused, unable to part with his "virtuous" wife and two children at home.
’But could someone please tell me who this ferocious shrew in front of him is?’
’And that disgusting man lying on the ground, drooling as he leered at his enemy—that was his son!’
’How was he supposed to endure this?!’
’How could he possibly stomach this!’
’If I had known my wife and son were like this, I would have divorced her and left this family long ago.’
While Uncle Lin was lost in self-doubt, Lin Sisi had already walked up to him and was pulling on his arm.
She yelled furiously, "Dad, quick! Tell them to go up there and tear that bi— I mean, that caregiver, apart!"
The only reason Lin Sisi was clinging to her dad wasn’t to play the part of a damsel in distress, but because she was wary of Gu Jiaojiao and afraid of being beaten.
The other day, Gu Jiaojiao had beaten her black and blue in front of so many of her classmates.
When Lin Sisi saw that her dad still wasn’t giving the order, she stood next to Uncle Lin, stomping her feet and screaming.
Looking just like her mother having a fit, she shrieked, "You damn caregiver! I’ll make sure you die with no place to be buried today!"
Gu Jiaojiao cleaned out her ear, switched the crossing of her legs, and then slowly issued a warning.
"All of you, remember this! Every insult you seem to enjoy hurling at me just proves your lack of upbringing and blackens your father’s name."
Her cold gaze swept over them, a glacial light flashing in her eyes. "You want me to die without a burial place? So, are you all coming at me at once, or are you going to fight me one-on-one?"
Everyone the Lin Family had brought along heard Gu Jiaojiao’s words and thought she was just bluffing.
Uncle Lin sneered. "It’s good for a young lady to be arrogant, but being too arrogant is a problem. I’m going to teach you that so-called ’arrogance’ comes with a price."
In all their years of doing business, the Lin Family had run into their fair share of trouble. They had connections in both legitimate and criminal circles.
But he had never met someone so audacious—and a young girl who was still wet behind the ears, no less.
"Dad, just have them all attack at once! I want to see just how tough this vixen can be! I swear I’ll skin her alive to—"
Before Lin Sisi could finish her sentence, Gu Jiaojiao’s foot flew up and kicked her in the face.
She was sent flying a great distance, landing on the roof of a sedan with a loud THUD.
One side of Lin Sisi’s face was numb from Gu Jiaojiao’s kick, while the other side burned with excruciating pain as it scraped against the car’s roof.
"I already warned you last time," Gu Jiaojiao said, "Don’t point your finger at me. The consequences are more than you can handle.
The saddest thing in this world isn’t just that you have no class, but that you were born into a family with no class."
"You... you..." Enraged, Uncle Lin pointed a finger at Gu Jiaojiao, then immediately snatched his hand back.
’This girl’s words are like daggers,’ he thought. ’They stab right into my heart and make me lose all face in front of everyone.’
’This is intolerable!’
"Are you all dead?! Get her! All of you, at once!" Uncle Lin roared, utterly incensed.
Hearing the command, the Lin Family’s butler, along with the kitchen assistant and head chef, immediately swarmed forward.
However, Gu Jiaojiao simply crossed her arms and stuck out a long leg, sweeping it across the ground.
The dozen or so people who had rushed in were sent tumbling and scattering as if they weighed nothing. The nearly two-hundred-pound chef flew the highest of all.
The large man landed on a car roof just like Lin Sisi, making the sedan shudder from the impact.
