When Sun Lili got the call from Qin Jiao asking her to go shopping, she was a little flattered and surprised.

Meanwhile, as Shen Yi drove Qin Jiao to Xinhua Bookstore, he said glumly, "What if she brings Shen Feng with her?"
"No, she won’t bring Shen Feng. But she will lead me to him."

’It’s a holiday, and Shen Feng is out and about instead of spending time with his girlfriend. That means he might be with his ex-girlfriend.’
Shen Yi was still worried, but he couldn’t go with her. In the end, he decided to wait for her at a small shop nearby, and Qin Jiao let him be.

Qin Jiao met Sun Lili at the entrance of the bookstore. Qin Jiao was simply dressed in a white down jacket, fuzzy gloves, and small black leather shoes, her hair tied back in a simple ponytail. Yet, for some reason, Sun Lili found her exceptionally beautiful.
She sighed with admiration. "Qin Jiao, you’re so pretty. It’s a good thing you already have a boyfriend, or so many girls would be worried."
"Worried about what?"
"Worried that their own boyfriends would be staring at you all the time."
Qin Jiao gave a faint smile. "Whether they look or not is a small matter. What’s important is whether their heart is in the right place. If someone really wants to steal your boyfriend, she could do it even if she were plain-looking."
Sun Lili froze for a moment, feeling like there was a hidden meaning in Qin Jiao’s words. She shook her head, eager to find Shen Feng, and said, "Okay, okay, let’s talk while we walk. It’s too cold out here. Why don’t we browse inside the bookstore first?"
"Sure." Qin Jiao now knew that Shen Feng must be in the bookstore.
The two young women entered the bookstore together, stomped the snow off their feet, and began to look around.
Qin Jiao actually quite enjoyed browsing bookstores. But she knew that in the future, physical bookstores like this one would become increasingly rare. Even the Xinhua Bookstore chain would shrink drastically as more people started reading e-books. Yet, sometimes, the feeling of reading a physical book was completely different from reading an e-book.
Seeing Qin Jiao looking at the English editions of world classics, Sun Lili grew a bit anxious. She looked left and right, wondering, ’Why don’t I see Ah Feng? Could he have already left the bookstore and gone home?’
Qin Jiao noticed her anxiety but remained impassive. Inwardly, however, she was thinking, ’Shen Feng really has a way with people. He hasn’t even been dating Sun Lili for that long, yet he already has the poor girl wrapped around his finger.’
’Their families are a good match, and they’re both students at top universities. Outsiders and family members must be very optimistic about them. Sun Lili is also one hundred percent invested, but as for Shen Feng... it’s impossible to know how much he truly feels for her.’
