Chapter 450: Chapter 480: The Place Where Love Begins
Qin Jiao was truly touched.
She found that she really liked the person Shen Yi had become. He could be a smooth talker at times, full of sweet nothings, but when it came to his responsibilities, his sturdy shoulders could bear any burden.
He never failed to do what needed to be done.
And in this life, he treated the family Qin Jiao cared about with much more respect, treating them as his own.
Qin Jiao realized that, in the end, she had fallen right into this pit—a pit named Shen Yi.
She sniffled and said, "Right now is our time for building the business and working hard. Once we’ve earned enough money, we won’t have to work this hard anymore. If you want to paint, you can paint. If you want to travel, I’ll travel with you."
"Sounds good. Speaking of which, we still haven’t gone on our honeymoon."
"We can talk about the honeymoon later. There’s just too much to do right now."
Shen Yi thought about it and agreed. There was the clothing factory’s new product launch, the designs, advertising, and sales. This house also needed to be renovated, and then they had to buy furniture and appliances.
Once school started, they couldn’t fall behind in their studies either. They also had to move quickly on the internet investments they had discussed before. After all, in that field, the early players reaped huge rewards; some even went on to become the richest people in the country.
Qin Jiao and Shen Yi didn’t want to become the richest people in the country. They just wanted the people they cared about to live a little better.
The two of them looked over the entire house, deciding how to modify and decorate each room. Qin Jiao gestured to a wall in the living room. "I want this entire wall to be bookshelves. Let’s not decorate the living room in the traditional way, without a sofa or a TV. This is our private place to relax, anyway. We don’t need to worry about entertaining guests."
Shen Yi liked the sound of that—’our private place to relax.’ He took out a pen and sketched a few things, then said, "They don’t sell projectors yet, though. Otherwise, we could install a projection screen right here and just put the TV in the bedroom."
"Then let’s just leave it empty for now. But we can still buy a sofa—a really comfortable one."
"No problem. My mom said she saw a leather sofa abroad that was incredibly comfortable. I’ll ask her to buy it for us then."
There were three bedrooms in total: one would be the master bedroom, one a guest room, and one a combination tea room and art studio.
The living room, meanwhile, would be converted into a study and a workout area.
Qin Jiao looked around and said, "We could actually move some things directly from the space. We wouldn’t have to buy them for now."
But Shen Yi disagreed. He said, "The space is our little home, and this place is too. They don’t have to affect each other. We can choose different decoration styles for each."
To Shen Yi, the space was where his love with Qin Jiao had begun anew. It was something to be cherished.
But it was inconvenient at times. It was a secret that couldn’t be exposed, after all. Now that they had this new little home, however, everything was perfect!
Qin Jiao jokingly called him wasteful but didn’t say anything more. She didn’t want to move the things from the space either.
It was full of memories.
After their initial survey of the house, the two went home. Sun Jianhua and Qin Na happened to have just returned. Sun Jianhua said, "I found out about that clothing factory. It’s called the East Hong Clothing Factory. The owner’s surname is Ji, and his name is Ji Lidong. The factory used to be a yarn mill on the verge of bankruptcy before Ji Lidong bought it and started making clothes."
Qin Jiao frowned. "Ji Lidong... that name sounds a little familiar."
Shen Yi, standing beside her with his eyes half-lowered, said, "He’s Ji Yuehong’s younger brother."
Qin Jiao looked at him.
Then she remembered. Du Liya’s best friend and Li Xiaomei’s cousin, Ji Yuehong, had a younger brother. The guy had always been in business, but he was a crook who would pass off shoddy goods as quality ones just to make money. That’s why none of his businesses ever lasted long.
But Qin Jiao remembered that in her past life, this man had never opened a clothing factory.
