Chapter 507: Episode 505: A Plan To Destroy

Ren let out a soft, beautiful laugh.

The sound was so warm and happy that it made the heavy air in the living room feel light again. He didn’t pull away from her. He stayed kneeling on the thick rug, keeping his hands gently resting on her waist. His silver eyes crinkled at the corners as he looked down at her curious face.

"I am a trickster, my sweet bunny," Ren began, his voice a calm, steady whisper. "I didn’t have a giant dragon body with scales like Zarek, and I didn’t have massive tiger claws like Torian. I couldn’t tear a hole through the dark space between worlds using pure muscle."

Roxy tilted her head, completely fascinated. "Then how did you get here?"

"My soul guided me," Ren explained simply. "When I left the beastworld supposedly dead, I didn’t fight it with my body. I just let go. My spirit was already tied so deeply to yours because of how much I love you. I became like a tiny metal needle being pulled across the universe by a giant magnet."

Ren smiled, remembering his first crazy days in the human city.

"I just woke up in this human world," Ren told her. "I opened my eyes, and I was lying on a cold bench in a very noisy park. I didn’t know what a car was. I didn’t know what a cell phone was. The loud noises and the bright lights were terrifying. But I could feel you. I could feel a tiny, invisible string pulling my heart toward this city. So, I just navigated this strange new life. I learned how to read human words, I found a quiet place to stay, and I waited patiently."

Roxy’s heart swelled. He had been all alone, but he never gave up.

"I waited every single day," Ren whispered, leaning his forehead against hers. "And then, one afternoon, I saw a giant, grumpy man walking down the street in a black suit. It was Zarek. The exact second I saw him, I knew my Queen had finally returned to my side."

Roxy melted completely. It was the most romantic, beautiful story she had ever heard. She leaned in, ready to kiss his soft lips one more time.

"Okay, okay, that is very beautiful," a deep, loud voice suddenly grumbled from behind them.

Torian clapped his giant hands together, totally ruining the quiet, romantic moment. The huge White Tiger wasn’t actually mad; he gave them a playful, teasing smirk. But his bright blue eyes quickly turned very serious as he looked around the circle at his brothers.

"I hate to interrupt the kissing," Torian said, crossing his massive arms over his chest. "But we have a major, massive problem sitting right outside our front door. Roxy’s past is trying to worm its way back into our perfect life, and I do not like it."

Instantly, the warm, romantic mood in the living room completely vanished.

The air turned totally cold. The six men stopped looking like loving husbands and instantly turned back into apex predators. Their muscles tensed, their jaws locked, and their eyes grew dark with deadly, protective anger.

Syris didn’t even blink. The elegant Swamp King leaned back on his hands, looking completely calm, but his words were like sharp ice.

"We do not need to overthink this," Syris suggested coldly. "He is just a weak, dirty human man. We just find whatever dark hole he is sleeping in, drag him out, and snap his neck. It will take exactly two seconds. The problem will be solved before dinner."

Zarek nodded in agreement. The Dragon King reached a large hand inside his tailored black suit jacket.

He pulled out a heavy, sleek, perfectly black handgun.

Roxy gasped, her eyes going wide. She hadn’t even known he was carrying a weapon.

Zarek held the cold metal gun easily in his giant hand, turning it slightly to check the safety. He didn’t look scared of it at all. In fact, he looked incredibly impressed.

"Syris is right, but snapping a neck leaves bruises," Zarek rumbled, his golden eyes totally flat and unbothered. "I found this new weapon in this world. I have been practicing with it. I have to admit, human weapons are incredibly efficient. There is no need to roar, no need to shift into a beast. One shot, and he is dead. His heart stops instantly."

Caspian leaned forward, looking at the sleek black gun with total fascination.

The Sea King, who was usually the sweetest, softest man in the room, looked completely deadly. "It is very small, but it holds so much power," Caspian agreed, nodding his head. "We should all own one. We can take turns."

Roxy sat on the rug, entirely overwhelmed by what she was hearing.

Her husbands were sitting in their beautiful, expensive living room, casually planning a murder. They were talking about killing a man the same way normal people talked about ordering a pizza. They weren’t scared, they weren’t worried about going to jail, and they felt absolutely no guilt.

To them, it was simple math. The dirty man in the park had hurt their Matriarch. Therefore, the dirty man had to die.

"He tortured you, Roxy," Kaelen said, his icy blue eyes completely hard and unforgiving. The Wolf King looked at the terrible fear still hiding in the corners of Roxy’s eyes. "He locked you away and made you cry. Animals who hurt innocent females are put down. And so, he should die." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"I agree," Ren added, his silver eyes completely losing their soft warmth. The gentle healer looked at her with pure, protective fury. "He doesn’t deserve to breathe the same air as you."

Roxy looked at the six men. They were totally ready to march out the door, track her ex-husband down, and end his life right there on the sidewalk. They were doing it because they loved her. They were doing it to keep her safe.

But a sudden, sharp panic gripped Roxy’s heart.

This was not the Beastworld. If a King killed a bad guy in the magic forest, nobody cared. But here on Earth, there were police officers. There were security cameras on every single corner. There were detectives and prisons.

If Zarek shot that horrible man, Zarek would go to human jail. The police would take him away, and she would lose him forever. Her ex-husband had already stolen years of her life; she was absolutely not going to let him steal her beautiful new family, too.

Roxy held up her hand, stopping them completely.

"No," Roxy said, her voice shaking just a little bit, but growing stronger with every word.

The Kings all stopped and looked at her, completely confused. Zarek slowly lowered the gun.

"You can’t just shoot him," Roxy told them, looking right into Zarek’s golden eyes.

"Why not?" Torian grumbled, looking very disappointed. "I could crush him with my bare hands if you don’t want to use the loud gun."

"Because this is Earth," Roxy explained, dropping the soft blankets off her shoulders. She sat up straight, the fear finally melting away and turning into a hot, focused anger. "If you kill him like that, the human police will find you. They have cameras. They will put you in a cage, and I will lose you. I refuse to let that piece of garbage ruin the beautiful life we have built here."

Syris tilted his head, his sharp mind already understanding her logic. "Then what do we do, my Queen? We cannot let him walk free."

Roxy looked down at the two beautiful moving pictures of her children sitting on the sofa. She thought about the pain she had survived. She thought about how small and helpless she used to feel.

Then, she looked up at her six lethal, devoted husbands.

Her green eyes turned completely, terrifyingly ice cold. The sweet, scared girl from the park was gone. The fierce, untouchable Queen was back, and she was ready for war.

"We need to do this the right way," Roxy said smoothly, her voice dropping into a dark, dangerous whisper. "We don’t just kill him. We destroy him. We have to do it smartly, so we stay completely clean to the very end."

Torian broke into a giant, proud grin. He loved it when she acted like a boss. The big tiger tilted his head, leaning closer to her.

"Do you have a plan, my sweet wifey?" Torian asked happily.

Roxy looked at the shiny black gun in Zarek’s hand. She gave her husbands a dark, terrifying smile that sent a thrill of pure excitement straight down their spines.

"I promise you," Roxy purred, her eyes shining with wicked revenge. "This is going to be very good for our new visitor."
