"Right here?" Morgan asked, looking a bit confused.

Why was he even listening to this guy? It was an very strange request, ’stand here’ was he trying to paint him or something?

Of course, he didn’t really know why he was standing there, but Guilliman, who did, seemed to casually walk off

Just before he could realize something crucial.

"Shit!!" Morgan cursed.

Water sources in the middle of nowhere? Cool, but why was it so lonely? Even they who had just spotted it went directly towards it, talk less of the beasts that lived around it.

However, before he could completely rationalize it, a beast blasted out from out of nowhere, cutting through the very air itself as it swung like a blade.

Without second thoughts, Morgan quickly ducked, hopping to dodge, but at this close range? Was it even possible to do so? The beast was just too close.

He was lucky, though, as all of a sudden a string appeared from out of nowhere and drew him away faster than the eyes could see.

"Hmm," Guilliman smiled on the side as he appeared not even a millisecond later with a slashing blade directed under the beast’s underside.

He had arrived just in time to save Morgan, but Morgan had somehow already saved him.

"Hmm, whatever that is, it’s not a utility Aspect" Guilliman smirked, looking at a fading sowing instrument from the corner of his eye. He knew something was strange about this kid.

"Now’s not the time" nodding his head, Guilliman pulled his sword back, slicing through the flesh of the beast in front of him and leaving a gruesome wound on its belly.

"Hm?"

The beast raised its head. It was a slender-looking creature with long arms and shorter legs; it had scaly skin and curved blades sticking out of its forearm like an extension of it.

This was a truly terrifying thing.

It looked down, confused as it glanced at its underbelly.

It was wounded? That didn’t make sense.

It had spotted an intruder from a distance away; the intruder hadn’t noticed it yet, so it gathered all its strength for a full frontal assault.

But for some reason, after launching itself at this target, not only did it not kill the human, it also ended up wounded? That really didn’t make sense.

It was a grand beast after all; aside from those truly monstrous kings, there was little to nothing that could stand in its way.

"He’s out cold, huh?" Guilliman, staring down at the grand beast, smirked.

He wanted to see what made the kid so lucky; now he had seen it but was left to handle the consequences himself.

"At least I can go all out," Guilliman smiled bitterly and summoned ghost. After that… 15 other soul beast apparitions appeared from thin air around him, forming a sort of formation.

-Roar!!!!

The beast growled at him; the presence of this kid was infuriating. What? Did he think that he would be afraid of him?

It was a mighty grand beast!!

Like a breeze, it flashed forward its blade hand, slashing down at Guilliman’s position.

Guilliman immediately moved, rushing around with his feet glowing with a particular splendor.

He was able to dodge the initial charge, but the beast didn’t let up as it soon followed up by tracing him once again.

Dodging a few blade strikes narrowly, Guilliman soon came to the understanding that he was outpaced in the exchange.

’It’s a miracle it lasted this long’

He sighed,

The fact that he was still using the rabbit braces despite the fact that they were from an ordinary knight was alone worth applauding.

It was definitely resilient, but now that he was facing stronger beasts, it was time to let go of the past.

"Now!!" Guilliman barked.

In that second, several swordfish apparitions appeared from thin air right above the beast and came barreling down at it from all sides, impaling it.

At the same time, Guilliman grabbed onto ghost and was whisked away like a feather in the wind.

"Roar!!"

A trace of annoyance appeared on the face of the grand beast, feeling its movement limited by the swordfish. They struck at its joints, disallowing proper movements.

Tossing itself into the air, it slanted its body in a particular way before proceeding to use its blade hand to cut at the swordfish apparitions, turning them into ghostly sparks of dust.

After doing so, it was able to destroy the rest quite easily before turning its attention to the fleeing Guilliman.

That puny thing was the cause of all of this; it was going to kill Guilliman!!

"Maintain this pace, buddy," Guilliman patted ghost on the head while pulling out several daggers from his battle suits.

He had in all honesty spent a bulk load of what he had on buying and making costume weapons in the unique workshop. The old man’s apprentices were nice enough to help him create whatever he wanted at a very discounted price.

"Exploding rounds," he smirked, pulling out a bunch of daggers with explosive fire inscriptions on them.

His thoughts were clear.

Since he couldn’t overcome this beast with full force and brutal strength, he would have to weaken it considerably.

That meant he would have to harass it from afar.

"The things I do to survive," Guilliman smirked.

If anyone told him he would be facing a grand beast on his own and willingly doing so, he would smack them in the face for spouting lies.

But here in revenwood forest, he needed to be strong, for his need to ’compete’ with Victora, he had been in too many near death encounters ever since stepping into this place.

He was afraid that if he didn’t become stronger, sooner or later he would become beast food.

"If I die, who’s going to find and rescue Caroline? Better yet, who’s going to destroy ’them’?"

Guilliman hadn’t forgotten how he ended up here in the sanctuaries, the cruel and gruesome scene.

They were a lot of people he needed to protect, and Altor, more he needed to kill; he couldn’t die here.
