Standing infront of the massive cathedral like building, Guilliman sighed at its magnificence. It was nothing like the grand hall of the Blacksteel shelter.

This was built with sophistication in mind, it felt extremely intimidating and alluring at the same time.

"To get in, you need one of these"

Turning to Victoria and Thane, he spoke with confidence and assurance.

He was one of the first few people to enter this place, although he stopped to get stronger, he knew a lot more than these two who had never been inside.

"It’s an individual experience, so once you get in you’ll find yourself in a completely random location inside the castle. From there you’ll have to make your way up to the throne room of the ravens lord.

There are a lot of obstacles, you’ll fight several sentinels (walking amour sets) they are much stronger than what the three clans say and they have their own hierarchy and are hell bent on stopping you from reaching the throne room" Guilliman explained from his experience.

"However, they won’t be your only obstacle, even the castle itself is against you. It’s set traps causing you to fall to your death, it’s shift your topography how it see fit. Youll think you’re going up…until you find yourself at the entrance of the castle…it’s a truly strange place" Guilliman smirked bitterly.

If not for the fact that the key had a sort of teleportation technology that would automatically boot you out of the castle when close to death. He wouldn’t venture into it.

As for why he had stayed away from it for a while….it was a bit more complicated.

"So we just need to step in?" Thane asked with a steel key in his hand gripping it tightly.

Guilliman use to explore this place a lot so he had a lot of keys. Giving one of his extra keys away wasn’t really a big deal.

"Yes, that’s pretty much it" Guilliman nodded as he felt Thanes figure stroll past him and towards the castle in front. His walk was filled with the usual confidence he purtruded.

As he reached the hallowed down infront of him, an invisible force surrounded him entire being causing him to dissipate as if consuming.

He had been transported to a random location inside the castle.

"You want try your luck too?" Guilliman looked over at Victoria and asked a smirk painted on his face.

"Hm, do you have to ask?" She puffed her cheeks subtly as she walked forward in a rather similar fashion and was teleported into the castle.

This same scene was happening in all the other doors of the castle all over the place. Slayers, the three clans and even members of the Blacksteel family all entered the castle:

The fight for the inheritance of the ravens lord had just begun fully.

"Hm? Not again!!"

Deep inside the castle walls, a green shield was held up as a brutal force sent a young man in steel amour flying into a wall behind him.

"Fucker!!" The young man although his arm felt numb quickly got up and leaned on his left leg using it as supporting, bracing himself for the next attack.

Unlike everyone else, Guilliman was constantly being dealt the short hand of the stick. Whenever he entered the castle no matter what type of key nor the position he entered through he would be sent to the very buttom of the castle.

Yes, he was currently underground in the dungeons of the castle. Your next chapter is on Freewebnovel

"Die!!" A small dagger materialized in his hand as he lounged towards the giant sentinel infront of him with a hammer in its hand.

Woosh

Woosh

Woosh

Subtly dodging the swipes of the Mauradeding sentinel Guilliman tightened his grip sending an attack directly towards and targeting an opening in the walking set of amour.

The dagger successfully Peirced the sentinel and in the next second all of its amour crumbled to the ground following the release of a wisp of soul energy.

"Hmm, the increase in speed is worth it" Guilliman muttered looking at the scattered pieces of amour.

The first time he came he this thing had defeated him in a matter of seconds. He was a level 7 slayer then and was embarrassed to such a degree. However now he had improved by a lot and was use to such fights.

Looking up, Guilliman smiled.

"I’m coming for you"

In the next second he walked out of the room and into another one where he found more sentinel. Albeit being weaker, the sentinels infront were more in number so it took a lot more time to dispatch them.

This process repeated over and over again as Guilliman slowly made his way out from the underground dungeons fighting against a myriad of enemies until finally he made is way into the very base of the castle where most people started their challenge from.

"Hmm finally" Guilliman smirked, Normally getting sent to the dungeon was a death sentence, those things down there were extremely strong, needing at least a level 8 slayer to pass through.

To put it in retrospect, there were about a few dozen level 8 slayers in the city of a few hundred of a slayers. That meant that 80% of the slayers would instantly be eliminated when they first enter the place.

But even with that, Guilliman had survived even going up the castle on several occasions. Now that he was at level 8 maybe finally he would be able to get to that old fart at the top of the castle.

"First things first" Guilliman sat on the floor in a cross legged position, monitoring his bodily functions.

There was a benefit of entering the castle. Killing a sentinel sent a strand of an ethereal energy into the body that raised the body potential by a small amount.

For most, this was none essential and they would hardly notice its effect if they were already talented.

For someone like Guilliman though, not could could he feel the difference he also knew exactly why this was happening and how to make the best of the situation.

"Push!!" He barked sending the essence in his body into a frenzy. Before he knew it a familiar interface appeared before him

[Name: Guilliman Naldir]

[Physical Strength potential: Excellent ]

[Mental strength potential: Great]

[Physical Mana resistance potential : Excellent ]

[Soul strength: unreasonable ]

[Collating potential... ]

Tier: B+]

The essence from killing a sentinel allowed one to improve in term of potential at a rapid pace.

Though there seemed to be an upper limit. When he first killed a stronger sentinel he immediately went from tier E to D.

But after that, things slowed down, right now he was struggling to leave B.

"It’s good I guess," Guilliman smiled bitterly, he didn’t know what he was expecting. A tier potential wasn’t something he could easily get, after all most people would live their entire life in the tier they were born in.

Unknown to him, the amount of progress he had made while being here completely eclipsed all the others, in fact most of them didn’t make a bit of progress in terms of potential.

Guilliman felt downcast, but also moltivated as he made his way up the steps entering another interconnected room.

Meanwhile outside the castle countless slayers were being thrown out by the castle in a matter of minutes, They didn’t even last through the first floor.

The sentinels inside the castle and those outside were completely different in terms of raw strength. Even the likes of mason had been thrown out at this point causing a commotion.

"Form parameter around this door, its now Aaron family property" Mason barked at the Aaron family member around him.

He couldn’t stand the embarrassment of being tossed out of the castle so casually. Worst was that it happened infront of so many people.

"Yes boss" the slayers of the Aaron family immediately took action sending the none affiliated slayers away and forming a parameter around a particular entrance.

Robin, Carlson and a few members of the clans main force was still inside, if any of them gets tossed out, it would be something that only they had the right to see.

"If not for that stupid Logan, we wouldn’t be facing so much crowding" mason gritted his teeth.

Conquering the castle was more serious than it sounded, most especially to the three clans. If anyone of them could take the power of the fog, they would easily be able to unseat the Blacksteel family.

Not just here in ravenskeep, but also back in the Blacksteel shelter. They could bring with them a horde of furious monsters that would easily tear apart the shelters defences and with their men inside it would be much smoother.

But Logan had to tell the Blacksteels of this trump card of there’s, that muscle for brains was a giant pain in the ass.

However, they had no choice now. They had to compete with everyone to see who comes out ontop. It was only natural.
