Chapter 13: Chapter 13 : Wildcard

Helios(POV) :

It was almost funny watching Luthor’s visible frustration over the fact that the third member in our little crew would be an annoying brat. He had tried to protest, just like I once had.

But in the end none of us had the bravado to kick out a lost child, we agreed to tolerated that thing’s presence.

The night at the inn was as comfortable as sleeping of dirt, worse even. It smelled of bread and wine and cum. Super smell does not help much in this case. Regardless, things were as good as can be.

I had spent a night without killing anyone. Yay! But sleep was non existent. The thought of gods of this world or maybe just a few wanting me dead was not a good feeling.

The better question yet was the fact that why did the red priests show up for me. Should’nt the Light Lord tell them I was an enemy. Or perhaps it was a trap or perhaps he was hoping to use me as a tool to further his influence but got enraged as I killed his followers.

A mystery that will be solved in due time I suppose.

The most intresting thing however, is the fact that I have not encountered any other diety yet. The Starry Sept is located here and the seven did not greet their better yet. Were mommy and daddy scared?

Did they even exist? The faith of the seven was the only one prohibiting magic. But the faith people here produced only made magical things stronger.

Instresting’

The ship wager had gone well enough, two hundred fifty gold for a decent vessel. It was expensive but managable. I had a grand total of seven hundred gold left and I still have to pay another two-fifty to the blacksmith. So four fifty. An impressive sum.

But I needed a proper crew. And horh hill is located further away from land. A ship would be useless for some time if I truly intended to hire a fat boy and save him from his unfortunate fate. I needed a capable man who could help me govern. Samwell was still a boy and a coward. A boy so green he pissed grass.

He was not needed. I almost wanted to kidnap a maester from the citadel. But that would be a whole another problem.

I still had to waith another month fot the armor. And I needed a crew to sail to essos. There was perhaps no choice but to wait. A god getting halted by deadlines.

I walked to my new ship. It was not a new ship. The second hand ship wore it’s years openly. The hull was faded by the sun, it’s paint was chipped away to reveal the timber.

"She is no beauty, but she looks dependable. Already survived the sea’s many lessons bet she will survive a potential monster attck as well.

"Alright gang! This is our new home, we live here until we get the armor" I say to the two tired souls behind me "Rhea will do the cleaning!" I say, as Luthor the grown ass man almost giggles.

"I already made sure they were cleaned properly my lord" Luthor speaks, looking almost happy at my disappointment "This ship was worth less than they made us pay for it but since you were in a hurry"

"Alright! alright! calm down look we would be leaving to a different continent soon lock in!" I tell the morons annoyed.

"Lock in? What is that" Rhea asked me naively.

"It means get serious, there is a whole new life ahead of us now. Say brat are you sure you want to continue, you just might not see your family again"

The girl hesitates, going silent. ’Her first thought’ I smile to myself. This brat was more worth than the keep.

"Yes! I have always wanted to see the titan of Bravos!" She exclaimed, not an ounce of guilt. How miserable was this chick’s family life?

I heard a deep gurgle, It was Luthor’s stomach. "My lord perhaps time for supper?" The hag asks slyly. I sighed. I did not need to eat apparently but I would still be the one to pay.

"Alright man take us to the most lucrative place" I smile,’Ughhh, these fake permormances was getting so lame’ The wine might just satisy me. The brat was practically beaming. How exactly did she get used to me so easily?

After riding for sometime we reach to the largest inn in the city, the place dominated an entire square, wide balconies and a dozen chimneys. This was a place for the lordling’s.

As we enter the strong smell of lavender greets me, the innkeeper a middle aged big titted woman personally led us away from the clamor of the great hall. There was music and laughter. But I wanted silence. The hearing was still getting adjusted.

As we sit down, the innkeeper begans taking the orders. Luthor had ordered roasted bacon a mug of dark ale. The girl had ordered roast lamb with fresh bread and an apple pie.

I had just ordered a mug of warm milk. My testbuds had demanded it.

These people were blind robbers. This was how my thoughts worked. I had been reciprocated nothing. I would have my money’s worth.

"Hey Luthor! sing a song for us." I spoke with a calm voice. Luthor almost choked on his ale. Rhea had looked greatly amused.

"Ah...My lord! I am hardly a singer!" He stuttered.

"Sing You’re Lord commands it" He was not going to be released.

"MY LORD~" He looked pleadingly as I cut him off. A cruel smirk at adorning my lips. Rhea was fighting a smile and failing.

Seeing himself as having no choice, he thought for a short moment. Then clearing his throat He began :

And Who are you, the proud lord said~

Rhea burst out laughing, even I chuckled. This was certainly a choice for song at a good time, his voice was also like a choking goat. The entire intimidating factor gone. Luthor’s face flushed red in embarrasssment.

"No no continue Luthor" I spoke back.He looked at me pleadingly again as I simply gestured him to start

And who are you, the proud lord said

that I must bow so low, only a cat of

a different coat Thats all the truth I know

In a coat of gold or a coat of red

A lion still has claws

And mine are long and sharp, my lord

As long and sharp as yours

And so he spo~

The latch clicked.

Without waiting for permission, the door swung open.

An average height man stepped inside with measured, unhurried strides. No smile had touched his face. His expression was composed, almost indifferent. Almost.

But mine was not.

’Oberyn Fucking Martell’ my mind went blank.

"I hope I am not interupting," he said evenly. His eyes flickered a for a moment at us.

"I did’nt think I would see a Lannister In Oldtown," he was almost amused "You people seem to be everywhere" there was venom in his voice, poorely conceled.

"You must be lost" Luthor put a hand near his sword subconsiously.

"Am I? Maybe but certainly not the only one!" He smiled.

A woman entered the room, her complextion dark. Olive-toned skin kissed by the sun, wavy balck hair that fell freely over her shoulders, expressive dark brown eyes they were tensed.

"Lover come here!," she grabbed Oberyn’s arm.

"No no, lover you come here,"he pulled her in closer. " A rare sight is ahead of us look! A lannister and a lost Hightower in the same room!" He laughed pointing at me.

’A lannister and a lost hightower’ That took me a second to process before my eyes widended, only a small fraction. I turned to look to my right. Rhea was trembling. Colour had drained from her face.

"Motherfuc~
