Chapter 4: Chapter 4. custom made

Chapter 4 - Custom made

’System, I want to initiate a quest.’

[Is it related to taking revenge on Lucien?]

’Yes,’ Ashael thought while looking at Lucien coldly.

Honestly, Ashael wanted Lucien to know that he knew.

And that he was coming for him.

[Then I have a better idea.]

’Do tell.’

[System-given quests are better because they calculate all the risks, rewards, and effort.]

’Alright, show me what you can do.’

[First Main Quest]

[The Young Emperor]

[Become the Emperor of the Dratharis Empire before the age of 16.]

[Convince the current Emperor to willingly retire and inherit the throne through your own capability.]

[Start your path to supremacy.]

[Show Lucien Valeria Dratharis what he could not achieve despite spending eighteen years chasing recognition.]

[Rewards:

2000 Existence Points

5,000,000 System Points

5000 Attribute Points

Ernydra (Lifeform)]

[Penalty:

Permanent loss of the [Supremacy Path Shop] system function.]

[Note: Since this is your first Main Quest, the system is offering extremely high rewards. There won’t be another chance. This is one time only.]

’Way to start the Quest Function.’

[Well, I try.]

Ashael went through the entire screen again and again.

The risk of losing was high, but the rewards were too good to be true.

’System, if I lose the [Supremacy Path Shop] system function, will I ever be able to get it back?’

[You won’t be able to because only this system function has a chance to buy the other system functions with freebies.]

[I told you the price for system functions is too high.]

[And not only that, this is your only shop.]

’Not even through quests?’

[The quests would become impossible to complete.]

[With a system function as a reward, the penalty would be obvious, right?]

’I see.’

Ashael closed his eyes for a moment.

Left alone with his thoughts.

Even Lucien, Celes, Ravn, and Serena didn’t disturb him when they saw him thinking deeply.

Ashael opened his eyes.

And answered the system.

’I accept.’

[First Main Quest accepted.]

[Can I ask what made you accept it?]

’I would have declined it if not for the freebies. With them, I can get literally anything.’

’And I’m going to take every overpowered thing in the shop.’

’And six years is enough time to lay my foundation and become stronger.’

Soon after, Ashael finished his breakfast and left the royal dining hall with Isolde following behind him.

The doors to the dining hall closed behind him, leaving everyone on their own.

Ashael walked through the palace corridors while thinking deeply about what to get from the shop.

"I got it," muttered Ashael.

"Got what, Your Highness?" asked Isolde.

"Nothing."

’System, I want to use the Custom Creation feature.’

[Custom Creation option of the [Supremacy Path Shop] function.]

[Custom Creation allows the host to design any item, skill, trait, bloodline, physique, technique, weapon, or ability.]

’I want to create a trait.’

[Trait Creation.]

’Wait, before that.’

’System, initiate a quest.’

[Quest created.]

[Create at least a Paragon-rank trait.]

[Rewards:

• 50000 System Points

• 500 Attribute Points]

[Penalty: Loss of one freebie.]

’Damn, that’s one hell of a penalty.’

[Why did you use it now? I thought you were going to use it to make a training quest.]

[You know you can only create one quest per day.]

’I know.’

[Do you?]

’I do.’

[So, you weren’t so excited about the Shop Function that you forgot to check the full information about the system function?]

’Of course I forgot.’

Ashael may be cruel and ruthless, but his ego liked owning up to his own responsibilities and mistakes.

No matter what.

’Whatever.’

’Let’s create the trait.’

[What type of trait do you want?]

’I want a clone-type trait.’

Ashael spent a few minutes instructing the system on what type of trait he wanted and what abilities it should have.

[Analyzing requested trait...]

Trait Name: Infinite Presence

Rank: Celestial

Description: Infinite Presence allows the user to divide their very existence into multiple manifestations of themselves. These manifestations are not mere copies. They are genuine fragments of the user’s soul, mind, body, identity, and existence.

Abilities:

Echoes: The user can instantly create temporary clones.

Reflections: Reflections carry a fragment of you and can grow before being called back to absorb their growth.

Avatars: The true ability of Infinite Presence. This ability allows the user to split their soul, mind, body, and Existence Level itself to create permanent independent selves. These clones are not puppets.

They are complete living beings carrying authentic fragments of the original existence.

Existential Immortality: As long as one avatar remains alive with its soul, mind, body, and Existence Level intact, the user can continue to live on.

Infinite Parallelism: Every Echo and Avatar can train, study, cultivate, or fight simultaneously. All progress and everything they gain can be shared with the collective.

Hive Mind: No matter how many avatars you create, all of you share one Collective Consciousness.

Ashael stopped dead in the corridor, his eyes widening as he looked at the information about the trait.

Seeing Ashael stop, Isolde also stopped and looked confused, but she didn’t say anything.

Her job was to serve him, not question him.

’This... this is so fucking overpowered. I’m literally immortal.’

[Create at least a Paragon-rank trait.]

[Quest completed.]

[Rewarded: 50000 System Points, 500 Attribute Points]

Ashael didn’t pay attention to the quest messages.

’I really underestimated the system’s abilities.’

’If one Custom Creation can make such a powerful trait, then with 117 freebies I can literally be...’

Ashael didn’t even finish the thought because he already knew what it meant.

Ashael continued walking toward the training hall to train and test the [Absolute Training System].

A few minutes later, Ashael arrived in front of the training hall, but someone was already standing there.

The Imperial Knights Commander.

Kale Virelth.
