As he stood there, gazing at the vibrant plant before him, he couldn’t help but notice the absence of any discernible energy permeating the surroundings. The air felt dense, almost palpable, with an overwhelming presence of life that seemed to emanate from every leaf and bud. However, despite the abundance of vitality, there was a distinct lack of Qi— be it devilish or spiritual.

This peculiar observation led him to deduce that he must be situated on a diminutive planet, nestled within the vast expanse of the middle ring. Unlike other planets, this particular planet lacked any significant reservoirs of earth veins, which were crucial for the generation and distribution of Qi. Consequently, the absence of these primal energy sources rendered the production of Qi utterly impossible within this realm.

The denizens of this diminutive planet were largely mortal beings, lacking any exceptional abilities or supernatural aptitudes. The scarcity of individuals abundant in Qi implied a population predominantly constituted of ordinary, seemingly powerless mortals - distinctly different from the diverse range of beings found in worlds teeming with Qi.

After organising his thoughts, a smile crept on Kai’s face; he liked this kind of planet the most.

Sin devils exhibit unique characteristics that set them apart from most other devils. While they do harness devilish Qi for cultivation, their reliance on it is not absolute.

In the realm of Qi, various types exist, and one such type is Source Qi. This category encompasses Qi derived from Earth Veins, including Spirit Qi, devilish Qi, Immortal Qi, Origin Qi, Empyrean Qi, and many others.

Sin Qi is of a different nature compared to the Source Qi, it belongs to the Infernal Qi one of the other types of Qi, though the source Qi is essential and primary for cultivators, other types aren’t necessarily not as essential.

For sin devils, they heavily rely on harnessing the power of sin Qi to progress and elevate their cultivation. The acquisition of sin Qi is a process that entails a rather sinister approach. Sin devils, driven by their malevolent nature, often resort to ruthlessly slaughtering a significant multitude of living beings. This cruel and nefarious act generates a proportional measure of Sin Qi, the quantity of which is predicated upon the sheer number of lives extinguished.

After deciding his course of action, Kai extended his devilish sense to the limits, sure enough, he was able to scan most of the planet, although it didn’t encompass the entire planet. What he discovered was that this diminutive planet was divided into three mortal kingdoms, each with its own distinct territories and inhabitants.

The first kingdom, known as Zephyrion, encompassed the vast grasslands and gentle rolling hills in the northern region. Its inhabitants were primarily farmers and craftsmen, living simple lives. They possessed no extraordinary abilities or powers, relying solely on their own physical and intellectual capabilities to survive and thrive.

Further south, nestled between the imposing mountains, was the kingdom of Everforge. This realm was renowned for its skilled blacksmiths and artisans. The inhabitants of Everforge had mastered the art of weapon making and craftsmanship, but they, too, lacked any supernatural aptitudes or inherent abilities.

Lastly, the kingdom of Serenaria extended across the lush forests and shimmering lakes in the eastern region. Its people were deeply connected to nature, living in harmony with the flora and fauna surrounding them. Though they possessed a strong affinity for the environment, their connection was purely rooted in mortal understanding, devoid of any supernatural influence.

As Kai continued to survey the planet with his devilish sense, his attention was drawn to a disturbance along the borders that separated the three mortal kingdoms. From his vantage point, he could see smoke billowing into the sky, the distant sounds of metal clashing against metal, and the anguished cries of mortal beings caught in the throes of battle.

With a flicker of curiosity, Kai decided to investigate the source of the conflict. He traversed the distance swiftly, his devilish aura cloaking him as he moved undetected through the chaos.

As he approached the border, the scene before him unfolded with stark clarity. Warriors from Zephyrion clashed with those from Everforge, their weapons gleaming in the sunlight as they fought with a desperate fervor. The once serene lands of Serenaria had become the battleground for these warring factions.

It appeared that tensions had risen to a boiling point, each kingdom vying for control over the territories that held valuable resources and strategic advantages. The absence of supernatural abilities among these mortals only heightened the intensity of the conflict, as their reliance on cunning tactics and sheer physical prowess became the deciding factors in the outcome of battles.

Ordinary mortals fought valiantly, their lives hanging in the balance as they defended their homes and aspirations. The absence of Qi cultivation did not diminish the determination burning within them, nor did it hinder their capacity for brutality and violence.

Kai watched from the shadows, his interest piqued by the distinct lack of supernatural intervention. It was a war waged solely by mortal hands, a stark reminder of the power mortal beings held within them. As he observed, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if the presence of sin Qi, with all its corrupting influence, were to infiltrate this conflict and tip the delicate balance of power.

Without further delay, Kai made his way to the outskirts of Zephyrion. From there, he found a vantage point that allowed him to observe the kingdom from the shadows.

He peered out, his yellow eyes scanning the landscape as the sun began to set, casting an orange glow over the farmland that stretched as far as the eye could see. The simple wooden houses dotted the horizon, their thatched roofs blending seamlessly with the surrounding fields and livestock pens.

Kai watched as the inhabitants of Zephyrion carried out their daily routines. Farmers toiled in the fields, their weathered hands working diligently, sowing seeds and tending to the crops. Children laughed and played, their youthful energy adding a touch of joy to the scene. It was a peaceful existence, untouched by the chaos of the ongoing war.

As the night fell, Kai shifted his focus to the second kingdom, Everforge. He traveled swiftly, his form blending seamlessly with the darkness until he reached the outskirts of the kingdom.

From the shadows, he observed the flickering glow of the blacksmiths’ forges illuminating the night sky.

The sound of hammers striking metal echoed through the air as skilled craftsmen worked tirelessly, honing their skills to perfection. The clanging symphony of metal reverberated deep within the kingdom, a testament to the relentless pursuit of mastery in their craft.

Kai observed the people of Everforge, their strong and muscular frames hinting at a life dedicated to physical labor. They embraced the challenges of shaping metal and transforming it into intricate weapons and artistic creations. Though devoid of supernatural abilities, they possessed an unmatched skill that set them apart in their ability to manipulate the materials at their disposal.

After absorbing the essence of Everforge, Kai ventured towards the kingdom of Serenaria.
