Revenant Xuan explained, "The Heavenly Will Palace is where the essence of the Heaven’s Will manifests itself. In the previous Epoch, it was situated right at the heart of the domain."

Revenant Xuan raised his hand and continued, sharing an intriguing piece of information. "The Heavenly Will Palace is rumored to be guarded by the Heavenly Punishment Lightning, a terrifying force capable of obliterating even the most formidable Seventh-Order Realm cultivators. This has made it nearly impossible to enter the Palace unless it opens on its own."

He let out a sigh, indicating that the situation might have changed. "But now, I don’t think such lightning still exists, as what it once protected—Heaven’s Will—seems to have vanished."

Confused, Liang shook his head and posed a question. "If Heaven’s Will doesn’t exist anymore, then what is the point in going to the Heavenly Will Palace?"

Revenant Xuan responded with a sneer. "The Heavenly Will Palace still holds three other opportunities apart from Heaven’s Will."

Liang, intrigued by this claim, allowed a smirk to dance upon his lips as he prodded Revenant Xuan to elaborate. "Oh, do enlighten me, I’m all ears."

"The first of these extraordinary opportunities is the Heavenly Law Scriptures," Revenant Xuan began, his tone filled with a mix of intrigue and reverence. "Among them is the Physique Scripture, which contains the cultivation manual for ten Immortal Physiques. Legend has it that each physique within that scripture can grant the cultivator unparalleled invincibility during their respective eras. The second one is the Void Scripture, containing the very essence of the Void Great Law. Whispers circulate that a mortal stumbled upon this scripture by chance, eventually ascending to become his generation’s Domain Lord."

Taking a deep breath, he continued, "Furthermore, there is also the Death Scripture, shrouded in the mysteries of the life and death great law. It is said that those who obtain it attain an undying existence and three others that I am unaware of."

Liang’s face lit up with interest as if he were recalling a specific matter.

Revenant Xuan continued, "Secondly, there’s the Ascension Platform. Although I cannot guarantee its worth in the present era, it’s the safest way to ascend."

Liang nodded, acknowledging the complexities of ascension.

Revenant Xuan’s expression turned gloomy as he further explained, "The domain we dwell in is known as the Sub-Origin Domain, and you can imagine what lies beyond it—the Upper Origin Domain."

Xuan chuckled, a touch of dark humor in his voice. "I would rather stay here than ascend to the Origin Domain. Although I may not need to undergo the law cleansing nor the Cleansing Ponds, I would most likely die to the Life-Sizing Tribulations."

Amused, Liang couldn’t help but chuckle at Xuan’s reaction. "Die? Senior, aren’t you already considered dead?"

Revenant Xuan raised an eyebrow and retorted, "Ignorant brat, what do you know?"

He went on to explain, "When a corpse cultivator breaks through to the Yin Revenant Realm, they become subject to the law of life as well. This means they too are limited by a certain lifespan, though it is much greater than that of other cultivators."

Revenant Xuan’s frustration boiled up, and he cursed loudly. "To hell with the Origin Domain and its worthless new heaven."

Liang’s eyes flickered with surprise and amusement as he observed Revenant Xuan’s uncharacteristic outburst, though he could understand the reason behind it.

From the third floor of the Sutras Hall, he discovered that the origin and sub-origin domains passed through two different Epochs.

The first Epoch is known as the Immortal Qi Epoch, which has existed for approximately 500 million years. This Epoch is characterized by the presence of immortal Qi and Immortal Sovereigns. Throughout its history, the Epoch has gone through four distinct Eras, the first four being referred to as the Primordial Emergence Era.

It all started with the Primordial Emergence, during which the Primordial Heavenly Vein came into existence, giving birth to a multitude of life forms in the domain. Following that, the Nine Worlds Era took place, where nine supreme races ruled over the two domains.

Afterwards, there was the Golden Era and the Thriving Immortal Era.

In the Golden Era, the Immortal Qi cultivation system flourished, and countless geniuses emerged, pushing the boundaries of their power and comprehension. It was an era of great prosperity, where dao was the source of the law, and the concept of immortality reached its peak.

However, the Golden Era eventually gave way to the Thriving Immortal Era, marked by the rise of many Immortal Sovereigns. These powerful beings cultivated the immortal Qi to its pinnacle, achieving immortality and becoming the rulers of the domain.

But as with all things, even the most prosperous era must come to an end.

The fifth era, known as the Great Catastrophe Era, marked a significant change. Massive Heavenly Tribulations swept through the entire upper domain, decimating almost all of the immortal Qi cultivators.

In contrast to the upper domain, the lower domain also experienced a cataclysmic event that dramatically transformed its landscape. This event unfolded when the stars were rent asunder, causing the once cohesive lower domain to splinter into two distinct regions.

This separation wreaked havoc upon the realms within the lower domain, resulting in widespread destruction. Only a handful of realms managed to withstand the devastation, with just five persevering in the face of such overwhelming odds.

Among the realms that withstood the cataclysmic event, the first is the Common Road Realm, serving as a haven for all those who managed to endure the catastrophe.

The Empyrean, on the other hand, remained entirely unaffected by the calamity, preserving its pristine state.

In contrast, the Martial Rising Realm managed to survive the catastrophe, albeit at a great cost, as it witnessed the decline of several flourishing civilizations.

A similar fate befell the Devil Realm and the Nether Plans, experiencing a decline in their respective populations and prosperity.

Though the Great Catastrophe Era marked the end of the Immortal Qi Epoch, it also signaled the dawn of a new chapter in history - the Origin Qi Epoch.

Although only 100 million years have passed since the emergence of this new Epoch, it has already witnessed the rise and fall of four distinct eras, including the current era.

The first era, known as the Enlightenment Era, marked a significant shift in the vitality of the domain, with the emergence of a new type of Qi called Origin Qi, replacing the immortal Qi that was prevalent before. The spread of the Origin Qi Cultivation System was notable, yet its origins remained shrouded in mystery. Nevertheless, it became the only available cultivation system capable of adapting to the changes.

The introduction of the origin cultivation system paved the way for a new path, known as the origin path, further introducing a new concept known as the Origin.

Next came the Emperors Era, in which Origin Emperors rose to power, possessing abilities and strength that surpassed even the previous Immortal Sovereigns.

However, like everything else, this new origin path had its advantages and disadvantages.

The Origin Cultivators had a significantly reduced life expectancy compared to the Immortal Qi cultivators. Even the most powerful Origin Emperors could live for a maximum of five million years.

In the midst of this ever-evolving world, a new era known as the Life-Sizing Era emerged, presenting the origin Qi cultivators with a new profound challenge.

Within this era, the Life-Sizing Tribulations emerged, further diminishing the life expectancy of cultivators. Astonishingly, each cultivator possessed the capacity to confront only three Life-Sizing Tribulations within each major realm.

However, if a cultivator persisted within the same major realm after enduring these trials, they would inevitably face a perilous fourth trial known as the Life-Ending Tribulation. This unrelenting tribulation spelled certain death for the cultivator, permanently extinguishing their flame of life.

This drastic turn of events prompted people to refer to the transformation caused by the emergence of the origin Qi as "Heaven Changed."

In the previous eposh, the heavens exhibited generosity by granting cultivators the capacity to pursue the immortal road, a path leading to immortality. However, the current one witnessed a stark shift in the heavens’ disposition, as it seemed determined to snatch away cultivators’ lives at every twist and turn.

"Senior Xuan," Liang said, his eyes narrowing in anticipation, "what about the third opportunity you mentioned?"

Revenant Xuan’s eyes gleamed even brighter, a hint of excitement flashing through them as he chuckled, "What could it be other than an opportunity to break through beyond the limits of the Seventh-Order?"

"You mean the Qi Transformation Realm?" Liang questioned, seeking clarification.

"Nonsense! When has such a cultivation realm ever existed?" Revenant Xuan responded dismissively, a hint of arrogance coloring his words.

"Only cowards would change their path for an opportunity to merely survive," Revenant Xuan declared boldly, asserting his beliefs. "This Revenant hasn’t acknowledged the existence of such a realm yet."

"For me, it’s the Divine Revenant Realm, and for those old geezers still lingering in the Void Transformation Realm, it’s called the Void Return Realm," he explained, emphasizing his disdain even more.

"Either way, attaining these realms would grant us the ability to depart from the lower domain and head to the Primordial Sea Realm."
