Chapter 595: Chapter 359: This Endless Journey

In the swamp where radiant lights danced, the two embraced each other with undivided attention.

Lu Xiao lifted Miao Qi by the waist, turned his back to the others, and walked deeper into the swamp, until it reached his waist. Each step became exceptionally difficult.

Even with Yu Yue standing at a distance, Su Huan could hear Lu Xiao gasping loudly while uttering affectionate words.

As if he wanted to say everything he had never said in his life.

"Miao Qiqi, you love beauty so much, why did you choose a big mud pit? Now we both have to rot together..."

"How could I not walk? You’re so light, I’m full of energy now, I could carry you for a lifetime..."

"If you’re tired, just take a nap, we’ll be there soon."

"..."

The man’s voice trailed off.

"Send us off for a while; she doesn’t like being seen when she looks a mess."

"Sure, take your time."

Su Huan’s gentle voice reached the couple.

He stretched out his hand, thumb and middle finger interlocking, and snapped a crisp finger snap.

A bit of energy flew from his body, merging into the center of the swamp, colliding silently within.

The sunlight became as sticky as honey, making every tiny shadow in the world clear, and the bright mushroom marrow trembled slightly. Then the air began to tremble, the mushrooms blown by the wind suspended in mid-air, and the entire world seemed to take a breath.

The earth surged into waves, white light devoured everything.

The two figures and the blossoming swamp gradually blurred in the white light.

"This endless journey."

Su Huan donned the Power Armor left by Lu Xiao and walked into the depths of the mushroom forest without looking back.

Lu Xiao had his choices, the train conductor had his own tasks to fulfill.

Before death, no one could stop moving forward.

...

When the conductor finally focused his attention on the mushroom army, this group of ghost umbrella mushrooms faced their true terror.

Without reservations, the conductor took down the Mushroom King’s last guards with just a few finger snaps.

Tens of thousands, or even more, mushrooms turned into ashes in this terrifying explosion.

No matter the type or level, anything beneath Tier Two that touched it died completely.

The dark mushroom forest welcomed long-awaited light.

Following the remnants of the mushrooms, Su Huan reached the lair of the ghost umbrella mushrooms.

A massive cave.

Though hidden under layers of mushrooms, the signs of human excavation are evident.

Clearly a mining cave.

The fungus carpet here was no longer dark red but the same flesh color as the ghost umbrella mushrooms, layered over the existing fungus carpet.

"The mushroom species here are very diverse; there might be types that can detoxify among them!"

Pang Tu, finally finding his place to shine after coming out for so long, is a "collector" and also a "doctor", the only one knowing how to preserve these special materials.

"Hmm, gather all the materials you know and don’t know." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Su Huan swung his hand, splitting a battle mushroom in half, walking straight into the mining cave. Since he was here, he had to clean it out; that was the conductor’s rule.

Yu Yue led a squad of officers inside, while the remaining three squads stayed outside on alert.

The tunnel slanted downward, and it wasn’t much darker than the outside mushroom forest. In fact, because of the enclosed space, the fluorescent light became even clearer, with clusters of flesh-colored mushrooms crowding together, growing on the fungus carpet, and their size reverting to that of regular mushrooms.

But the cave wasn’t narrow, even allowing four or five people to walk side by side easily.

"These must be immature mushrooms, right? There’s a battle mushroom at the right fork in there; it seems like it’s planning to ambush you."

Yu Yue said.

Su Huan responded softly, a flash of the Thunder Blade split the ambushing battle mushroom in two.

The tunnel was deep, and Su Huan walked through it as if strolling in a back garden. No matter what kind of mushroom, a flash of electricity sent them into the box.

One mushroom, one serving; two mushrooms, two servings.

Behind him, Yu Yue felt her reporting was redundant and quietly closed her mouth.

Su Huan continued advancing to the deepest part.

"Hmm?"

The powerful Pan-energy wave ahead prompted him to raise his head in slight surprise.

The end of the fork was a huge hall, high enough to accommodate a giant mushroom.

The massive, soft fungus carpet was embedded with pieces of at least Tier One Pan-energy Crystals, densely embedded within. A quick glance gave Su Huan the conclusion that there were at least a hundred thousand.

In the center of the fungus carpet was something wrapped in layers, forming a giant bird’s nest-like oval over three meters in diameter, atop which sat the most corpulent mushroom Su Huan had ever seen, its cap adorned with prominent golden rings.

Two final rows of battle mushroom guards stood in front of it.

As Su Huan entered, the Mushroom King emitted an angry gurgling sound.

Due to its intense emotion, Su Huan felt he truly understood its meaning, something like "leave" or "do not invade my territory", with a haughty attitude, as if it were the ruler of the underground.

Su Huan merely smiled, and quickly, the lightning illuminated the small mining cave.

Flipping the Mushroom King’s corpse, he leaped onto the king’s throne, stepping on it, finding that apart from decent support, there was nothing unusual. Just as he planned to tear the throne open to see what’s inside.

"Don’t!"

Su Huan’s eyes narrowed, swiftly turning to look at Yu Yue.

But she was clearly discussing with soldiers how to handle the Mushroom King’s body, not speaking to him at all!

The voice hadn’t sounded as usual beside his ears but directly emerged in his mind!
