Chapter 1551: Chapter 883: This Is Way Too Terrifying (Part 2)
So he’s Chinese. A homegrown traitor helping overseas scammers—makes him even more damnable.
With that man’s muffled wail, Dapao kept running the blade back and forth over his body.
Whenever the man’s voice got even a bit louder, Dapao would wave his slit-open dick at him as a threat—no howling allowed, and don’t you dare raise your voice.
The man was tortured to the brink of death, making the three Southeast Asians beside him shudder in horror.
Ten minutes later, Dapao wiped the Dagger back and forth on another Southeast Asian’s body, cleaning off the blood.
In the end he taped the man’s mouth shut, but by then the guy was already half-dead, looked like he only had one last breath left.
Ant saw him finish and stepped forward to ask, "Well? Did you get any more intel out of him?"
Dapao shook his head, then nodded and said, "Basically the same as what you just told me. Their main camp is in Lai City in Lao Country.
But there’s one new piece of intel: they’ve set up a base over by Kun City, and the other scammers are there too.
If no one shows up to take over that base,
then every five days, the scammers scattered outside have to proactively go there and transport all the looted supplies and people to that base. Then it all gets shipped back in one batch to the Lao Country main camp."
Ant clicked his tongue. "Not bad, this intel’s pretty important for us. Didn’t expect you, kid—you’re a damn natural at interrogation."
Dapao scratched his head, a little embarrassed as he said,
"I learned it all from seniors like you."
Ant said, "Get this to Director Li and the captain as soon as possible."
"Got it."
Then they went straight to find Li Yu and Third Uncle and relayed everything Dapao had just pried out of the prisoner.
After hearing it, Li Yu asked, "Did you get a specific location?"
Dapao answered, "Yeah. It’s over by Yangzong Town in Kun City."
Li Yu’s expression brightened slightly. According to their original plan, they were going to wait for the main force to arrive, then go straight south along the route, cross the border, wipe out their nest, and clear any enemy squads they ran into along the way.
Now that Dapao had gotten their rally point out of them, they could go straight for that base.
Saved them the trouble of these bastards being scattered all over the place—they couldn’t be bothered to waste time hunting them down one by one anyway.
"Also, out of those five days, how many are left now? When are they sending people to deliver the supplies and captives?" Li Yu suddenly realized this was key and asked.
Dapao thought for a moment and said, "He told me three days have already passed. Tomorrow, the day after, so the third day after today, they’ll be sending the supplies and people over.
Today is August 3rd, so August 6th is when they transport the supplies and people there.
They’ve got a whole day. On August 7th, they’ll consolidate everything and haul the supplies and captives back."
Li Yu did the math. If things went smoothly, Ju Tianrui and the others would get here tomorrow—if they moved fast, they could arrive before dark; if they were slower, they’d camp halfway and still make it by noon the day after.
Once they arrived, they could head to Gui Province together. The timing still worked.
Third Uncle was off to the side silently calculating the schedule too.
After exchanging a glance with Third Uncle, Li Yu nodded. "Alright, you did great. Then the day after tomorrow, we set out for the place you wrung out of him."
Third Uncle grinned and added, "Dapao, that interrogation of yours was solid!"
Hearing Third Uncle’s words, Dapao looked visibly fired up.
Third Uncle was always a high-standards guy, almost never praised anyone. Getting his compliment gave Dapao a strong sense of being recognized.
In the whole Big Camphor Tree Base, for a lot of people who’d served in the military, Third Uncle was their role model.
Being praised by your role model is kind of like, back before the Doomsday, your idol telling you you’re strong—it’s the same feeling.
That feeling of being acknowledged by someone you genuinely respect gave Dapao a huge boost of confidence.
People will naturally keep doing the things they’re praised for. The more praise, the more energy and time they throw into it, and the more recognition they earn. The cycle keeps going, and they just get stronger and stronger in that field.
At first it was only Li Yu and the others praising him—now even Third Uncle was.
Dapao felt like his whole being had lit up.
So he said to Li Yu and the others, "I’ll go question the other ones, see if I can squeeze anything else out of them."
Saying that, he turned to leave.
His eyes were full of hunger—he looked at those three Southeast Asians like they were a trio of beauties.
Interrogation is addictive. The tougher the target, the stronger the urge to conquer.
It’s like gaming: clearing an easy level barely gives any rush, but beating a brutal level—the instant you pass it, that burst of joy is something outsiders can’t imagine.
"Hold up, Dapao." Li Yu suddenly called out.
Dapao stopped and looked at Li Yu, puzzled, not sure what Brother Yu wanted with him.
Li Yu asked, "Do you understand the Lao Country language?"
Dapao shook his head. "No. But that guy does. I’ll just have him translate."
Hearing that, Li Yu felt an odd, inexplicable sense of humor.
Letting the enemy handle your translation.
Somehow that was weirdly funny.
So he said to Ant, "Uncle Ant, why don’t you go listen in? See what those three Southeast Asians are actually saying, in case that guy ’translates’ it wrong."
