Meng Suisui no longer lived in the mansion like a little damsel in distress. Ever since she awakened, she would go to the front line and kill zombies to collect crystal nuclei. After finding out that there was another attack by the mutated bugs, she went to the gates to oversee the situation.
As for Meng Anzhi, when she arrived at the mansion where Meng Suisui lived, she realised that the woman was not at home. The entire mansion was doused in darkness, and there was no sound. It seemed like neither Meng Suisui nor Meng Qibao was at home. Seeing this, Meng Anzhi frowned. What was going on? Where was Meng Suisui going at such a late hour?
Just as she was wondering what was going on, she saw Meng Suisui return from somewhere.
"Suisui."
Meng Anzhi called Meng Suisui, and under the moonlight, Meng Suisui paused and turned to look behind her. She frowned when she saw who was standing outside her mansion and walked over to where she was standing. When Meng Suisui came to stand in front of her after an hour, Meng Anzhi did not dare to lose her temper with her. Instead, she smiled flatteringly. "Suisui, it’s so late. What are you doing outside so late?"
"Did you not hear the alarm? I went to see what was going on outside."
"Ah??" Meng Anzhi looked at Meng Suisui in shock. "The alarm? Why did you go outside to see? The ringing of the alarm means that something dangerous must have happened. Don’t run out of the mansion when the situation is like this; just leave this matter in the hands of the men of the safe base. Why would you run outside? As a woman ...you should stay inside and don’t let such things bother you."
"So, what if I am a woman?" Meng Suisui frowned when she heard her cousin’s words. She crossed her arms and looked at the woman with an annoyed look on her face. She had a feeling that there was something wrong with Meng Anzhi. Ever since Meng Anzhi was rescued from the safe base, this woman’s thinking had become more and more crooked. She said in a low voice, "The end of the times is not targeted just at men but also at women. When the zombies attack, they don’t differentiate between men and women. So, why should women not know how to defend themselves?"
"Are you expecting to wait until a man comes to rescue you? Isn’t that foolish?"
"Why will a woman be outside fighting a zombie?" Meng Anzhi did not take Meng Suisui’s words seriously. She looked at Meng Suisui and then started to educate her as if she were a child who did not know anything better. "Suisui, Bai Meiyue’s stance of making everyone fight zombies is not correct. She does not even understand so simply. A woman is supposed to stay at home and listen to men obediently. As long as she has the attachment to the man, she does not need to worry about anything."
When Meng Suisui heard Meng Anzhi’s words, she could not help but frown. Bai Meiyue was a woman as well; she was a pregnant woman, and yet she was standing tall on the watchtower and even dealing with the situation around the entire safe base. She even secured something good for the entire safe base to make sure that the mutated bugs would not be able to penetrate their safe base.
Yet Meng Anzhi had reduced all the women to toys that should be used to please men.
"What do you mean? Do you really think that it is good to rely on someone all the time? How long are you going to rely on someone?" Meng Suisui asked with a frown.
"Okay, okay, just look at you. You have really been brainwashed by Bai Meiyue." Meng Anzhi did not want to fight with Meng Suisui. After all, she was still hoping for Meng Susiui to help her. But when she looked at Meng Suisui, who looked much cleaner and more upright than her, she could not help but feel a bit ashamed. She could not help but say in an agitated tone, "Anyway, who is Bai Meiyue to say such things? In the end, is she not relying on a man as well? She is pregnant and being taken care of by a man and his subordinates. Only fools like you would believe that she is working hard for the safe base; the truth is that she is serving those men. Who knows whose child she is truly even carrying in her womb?"

Meng Suisui could no longer listen to the nonsense that her sister was spouting. "What nonsense are you saying? The child clearly belongs to Lei Qian!"
Meng Anzhi, who was beaten up, did not sense that there was anything wrong with what she said; instead, she raised her head and sneered coldly, "So what? Even if the child is pregnant with Lei Qian’s child in the end, she will only keep that child because she wants to lock that man down. If the child belonged to a weak man, then she would have aborted it long ago. She is only keeping it because the father of the child is powerful."
"Have you lost your mind?" Meng Suisui was so angry that she wished she could smack the woman on the face. What was she even thinking? And how many people were there in the safe base who thought the same thing as Meng Anzhi? It seemed like these people really did not understand Bai Meiyue at all. She had seen Bai Meiyue and knew in her heart that the woman was keeping the child because she wanted to keep the child and wanted it.
Though Xiao Cai came into existence because of Lei Qian, Bai Meiyue had no intention of keeping it because she wanted to please the men, but it was because she wanted to give birth to a child.
