Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Zombie's Levels

The trio was stunned by Liora's suddenly serious question, but all of them nodded their heads.

They had decided to place their trust in Liora. Even if she betrayed them in the future, they wouldn't mind. After all, she had saved their lives. And if they decided to give all the supplies to the base, they would eventually lose all of it, so it was better if it fell into Liora's hands.

"Then let's divide all the items. We will take half of the supplies to the base and half for ourselves." Soon, all of them got busy dividing all the items into two parts, packing them in boxes to carry them easily.

Two hours passed after they packed all the items and divided them. "Let's carry out half of the items out of this warehouse," Liora instructed them, and she also joined in lifting the items.

After transferring the items, she asked them to wait outside. All of them waited outside and did not ask Liora any questions. They had decided to fully trust her and respect her decision. If she wanted to tell them about her secret, she would eventually do so. There was no need to rush.

Liora walked back inside the warehouse and instructed the system, "Collect all the items, system."

"Yes, host."

[Successfully collected: Warm clothing (jackets, scarves, gloves – 25 items total)]

Liora smiled as she looked at the empty warehouse. her mood turn good once again as she remembered the system's words about having a space.

Now, she had 10 square feet of space, basically a small room to store items. She could store anything and take anything out at her will. As she upgraded her level, the space size would also increase.

"Liora, come quickly", She heard the muffled voice of Zhou yinuo and instanly dashed out of the warehouse.

As Liora emerged from the warehouse, her eyes locked on Zhou Yinuo, who stood pale and trembling. Beside her, Chen Wei and Liang Zihan wore tense expressions, their bodies rigid with unease.

Zhou Yinuo raised a shaky hand, pointing toward the supermarket's entrance.

Liora followed her gaze—and froze. A horde of zombies crowded the entrance, their rotting forms pressing against one another, blocking any chance of escape.

"It's already night," Chen Wei said, his voice low but steady. "We were so busy gathering supplies that we didn't notice the time. Now, there's no way out."

"Hey! Look there! There's a Level 2 zombie as well," Liang Zihan said, pointing toward the billing counter. His words sent a chill through the group.

Liora's eyes darted in that direction and settled on a figure that stood out among the rest. The zombie's robust physique and fluid movements made it look far more dangerous than the others.

"Level 2," she muttered to herself. Recalling her past encounters, she realized she had only fought Level 1 zombies, commonly called Rotters.

Her mind raced. She had never thought zombies were divided into levels and hadn't paid attention to the system's earlier announcement. She had been so focused on the rewards that she completely overlooked this detail.

"System, how many levels are zombies divided into?" she asked cautiously, suspecting there was more to these creatures than she realized.

"Host, zombies are divided into several levels, each with distinct characteristics. Within each level, zombies are further categorized into sub-levels. However, this is often overlooked by humans," the system replied.

"If you want, I can provide you with the list and characteristics of zombies."

"Sure," Liora said. It was better to understand her enemies beforehand.

A panel appeared before her, filled with detailed descriptions and images of zombies:

[Level 1: Basic Zombies (Rotters)]

1A: Newly turned, retaining most of their human appearance.

1B: Slow-moving, heavily decomposed.

1C: driven by insatiable hunger; slightly faster.

[Level 2: Mutated Zombies (Ghouls)]

2A: Stronger and more resilient due to mutations.

2B: Enhanced senses, able to detect prey over long distances.

2C: Agile enough to scale walls and jump short distances.

As Liora scrolled further, she noticed that the details for Level 3 zombies were blank, aside from the title "Level 3."

"Why is it empty? Is your system broken?" she taunted, her irritation rising. She wanted to know what Level 3 zombies could do, but the blank space frustrated her.

"When the host encounters a Level 3 zombie, the system will detect its capabilities," the system replied.

"Um! Don't you know about it beforehand? Why are you relying on me? It's not like you haven't seen zombies before. After all, you're supposed to be such a mighty system," she said with a smirk, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Finally, she felt like she had the upper hand on this arrogant system.

"I am not from this world," the system replied, its tone as calm as ever.

"What! What do you mean by this, not from this world?" Liora asked, bewildered. Was the system, like her, transmigrated from another world?

"Hey, answer me! Where is your world? Is it different from mine or this one?"

"Hey, did a cat got your tongue? Is your world not something to show off?"

Liora's anger flared as the system remained silent. however she tried to taunt him, it never respond.

It felt like she was talking to a wall. The damn system was ignoring her and pretending to be dead.

"It's not like you're never going to wake up again," she muttered, already making plans to pry more information about the other world from the system.

She scrolled aimlessly through the zombie details panel, but no matter how much she scrolled, the panel seemed endless. The levels kept increasing, and she could only see their titles without details.

"Fu*k, man! Just how many levels of zombies are there? Does this empty panel mean that all these zombies already exist, and I have to meet them to get their details?"
