Chapter 72: Conjuror Regalia
Ignaroth gritted his teeth. He was furious from what Max had said.
But... there was no use. He was completely cornered. Spells and cold weapons made out of light mana continued to weaken him.
He didn’t give up. His Hellfire continued to burn through their attacks, but eventually... even a rope has an end.
His body fell to the ground. He was still breathing. The Hellfire... was extinguished.
Max ordered his Radiant Knights to stop as he walked towards Ignaroth and halted before his head.
He said, "Was this how you were watching me earlier?"
Ignaroth didn’t respond. His ragged breathing was the only noise he could produce.
Max stared at him and chuckled.
"How the tables have turned."
Ignaroth could barely showed a sign of anger. He was definitely frustrated, but he was to weak to express his emotion.
Max was bored, as a result.
He closed his eyes and recalled the knowledge he gained after being reborn.
All his Arcane Caster’ active skills evolved—having been added with light-affinity.
Their proficiency levels were reduced to Advance level. If it was not because their previous form reached Master level, they might only reached Intermediate level.
He opened his eyes and summoned three Radiant Lance at once.
[Radiant Lance (Advanced)
Description: the caster achieves efficient compression of light mana, producing a faster and more destructive projectile.
Damage: 145 attack
Mana Cost: 24 mana points
Casting Time: 1.6 seconds.]
Now that he was at C-rank and his intelligence points were increased by two times, surpassing the hundred digits, Max could now multi-cast without worries.
Three Radiant Lance hovered above his head.
Max stared at Ignaroth, hoping he would make his last sentence entertained him for a while.
Unfortunately, he was already weakened. His ragged breathing was slowing down.
Max shook his head and the three Radiant Lance pierced behind his back.
Max was satisfied by what he had seen.
The system’s melodious notification rang in his ear.
[You have slain a Greater Demon—B-rank.
You have received 12000 EXP.
You have level up.
You gain another Free Stat Points.]
Max felt joyous. He recalled his Radiant Knights to Conclave Network—a space existed in his soul after he became a Summoner.
The Summoner, David, who was killed, had his space actually be taken by his body and was forcibly adapt to become his own.
Max actually didn’t have a memory of what had happened after he shouted "Yes" to the system.
He only waited for a minute, before he suddenly found his vision being twisted and was then standing in front of Ignaroth while Radiant Knights surrounded him.
He became silent for a while as information was injected into his mind. He wanted to scream in pain, but he shut his mouth.
His Radiant Knights couldn’t make a move—he was currently disabled.
Thankfully, Ignaroth remained in his position, as well. He was definitely threatened by the sudden appearance of the Radiant Knights.
If he fought back, his Radiant Knights might be forced to fight with him, but they would be like headless chicken despite the presence of a Radiant Oracle.
Aside from Max’s skills, Max was granted a Rare equipment that provides benefits for his Radiant Knights, as well.
Max first asked the system to show his equipment, with texts beside it.
[Equipment Set: Conjuror Regalia (Growth Type)

Max’s eyes widened. What had been shown to him was only the surface level yet, and he was in disbelief that the legacy scroll had generously rewarded him with it.
A Rare rank equipment at this level was already comparable to some Epic rank.
No, its worth far surpassed even that...
After all, it’s a Growth-type equipment!
Although it was unknown the ceiling rank it could reach, Max was still over the moon, knowing that he didn’t need to worry about his equipments at all.
Max then mentally ordered the system to expand on the Radiant Command Gloves first.
[Radiant Command Gloves (Main Weapon)

The fingertips are uncovered to allow precise mana manipulation. When channeling mana, faint golden lines illuminate along the engraved runes.
Effects: +15% Summon Damage, +15% Summon Defense, +10% Command Range
Special Effect: Reduces summon resummoning cost by 10%.]
Max was glad that he didn’t need to constantly grasp a staff and an orb.
He could even grab the rein of the horses while casting his spells without worry for not receiving effects from his main weapon.
Randomly remembering the horses, he turned around and he couldn’t perceive their presence anymore.
They must have fled the moment we died.
Max wasn’t surprised. He summoned the Radiant Pathfinder and ordered him to find the horses.
He believed they might not have gone far yet, no matter how fast they were. He definitely had to find them at all cost if he wanted to return to the capital.
Just because he had finally activated the SSS-Class from his past life doesn’t mean he was invincible now.
In fact, he was exhausted. If he battled Ignaroth perhaps the moment he arrived—not exhausting himself from fighting the previous Max and David—Max believed he might need to retreat.
Max wanted to return to the capital. He believed the demons might be aiming to conquer the Greyfen Marshlands.
He had to prevent that at all cost...
To gain merit, of course.
Max faced the direction where the Radiant Pathfinder disappeared and followed his path...
