Max held his breath, the intense mana fluctuations suffocated him.

As they returned to the manor, Lord Cassian said, "Do you not want to study in the Mage Academy? I can be your mentor."

Max ruminated.

Max chuckled. He didn’t reply.

They laughed.

They continued to have a joyful conversation until they arrived to the manor stable, where Max introduced his horse to Lord Cassian.

He caressed the horse’s body, especially the runes engraved. He couldn’t help but smile with tears forming on his eyes, perceiving the runes made by his son.

"He really didn’t leave you empty-handed, huh? I hope this horse will continue to help you in your goals to eradicate the demons."

Max nodded. "They hopefully will."

After letting Lord Cassian felt sentimental while caressing the horse, who was confused and stunned, Lord Cassian reluctantly walked backward.

He turned towards Max and the latter suddenly said, "By the way, do you only have one children left?"

Lord Cassian was taken aback.

He shook his head. "No, I still have a daughter, Arlen’s elder sister. But she’s a bit more difficult to handle than Arlen himself.
