Chapter 175: Chapter 131: Departing for the Rescue, the Might of the New Tier Two Zerg Race

The color drained from Li Ran’s face the moment he heard Lin Feng.

He quickly turned and ran back into the lounge to find the communications soldier in charge of the mobile radio and relay Lin Feng’s warning.

But several dozen minutes had already passed since Qin Hu and his team set out.

The elite squad had most likely ventured deep into Zerg territory, where they would encounter even stronger electromagnetic interference. Not even the Thirteenth Division could contact them for now.

Lin Feng frowned slightly.

He had no particular attachment to the Thirteenth Division, but Qin Hu had helped him many times. While their dealings were usually mutually beneficial private transactions, Qin Hu had indeed risked breaking the rules to help him build up his forces.

No matter how he looked at it, he had to lend a hand.

Besides, the Genetic Warriors were the Federation’s trump card. If the Zerg Race Mother Empress uncovered their secrets and developed countermeasures, it would only hasten humanity’s defeat.

With victory looking bleak, humanity’s leadership would likely resort to nuclear weapons, dragging the rest of the world down with them.

The resulting radioactive wasteland and harsh environment would also threaten Lin Feng’s own survival.

So, Qin Hu couldn’t die here. He still had a crucial role to play in the battle to defend the Federal Capital.

With this in mind, Lin Feng skipped the pre-battle pep talk and directly ordered everyone to move out at once, calling for Li Ran and the others in the lounge.

He urged them to move the communications equipment into their Tank.

Three and a half minutes later, led by the Land Patrol Battleship, a convoy of eight Lv19 Flying Wing Tanks sped across the Wu City battlefield at an incredible 200 kilometers per hour.

After two to three days of consuming the area, the Hai City Mother Empress’s Zerg Race had occupied nearly half of Wu City behind the first line of defense. They had also finished digesting and excavating the land, along with the Biomass of over ten thousand human Enhanced People and Awakeners.

While the Mother Empress was evolving to the Tier Three Middle Stage, a giant, fleshy incubator deep within the underground Hive’s biological factory continued to produce Zerg Eggs for Tier One Black Spine Zergs and Cyan-winged Zergs.

Under the Mother Empress’s direct control, these Low-Tier Life forms were born in a continuous stream—almost one per second. As long as there was enough Biomass and Energy, over 80,000 could be produced in a single day...

It only took about three days for a Zerg Egg to hatch into an adult Lv10 Tier One Black Spine Zerg.

This meant a new batch of Black Spine Zergs was about to join the battle at Wu City’s second line of defense.

Combined with the existing Tier One Middle and Late Stage Black Spine Zergs, the Hai City Mother Empress’s forces were now at their Peak.

Not to mention the newly hatched special Tier Two Zerg Race, which could easily dismantle the Thirteenth Division’s fortifications and counter long-range bombardments from Superpower Bullets.

Lin Feng recalled the latest intel from Ding Chenghai, estimating the strength of the impending Swarm as the Land Patrol Battleship entered the main battlefield.

Two kilometers away, the group saw the outpost bunker they had once defended so staunchly.

The once Indestructible concrete base now had its foundations undermined by the Zerg Race. Coupled with an attack from burrowing Cloud Burst Bombs, the entire structure had tilted and collapsed into the ground.

Only a firing port, a few meters high, remained visible on one side.

It had become an abandoned pillbox.

The members of Company 201 present, who had all survived that night’s battle, knew full well that no matter how sturdy a fortress was, the Zerg Race would breach it sooner or later.

As long as the Zerg Race kept digging relentlessly... 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

No fortification in the world was truly impregnable.

The only way to defeat the Zerg Race was to use superior mobility to constantly engage in hit-and-run tactics, wearing down their forces.

And only Lin Feng, with his Copy Superpower, could do this. He could replicate massive amounts of weaponry to madly harvest the Zerg Race’s bio-energy, rendering their corpses worthless for recycling.

They passed through the barren, scorched earth of the Wu City South District. Seeing no signs of Zerg Race activity, Chen Yanyan, under Lin Feng’s command, piloted the Land Patrol Battleship and continued to lead the fleet toward the northern part of the city.

The fleet was now traveling between the second line of defense and the remnants of the first. Soldiers hidden in the defensive fortresses and the Swarm hiding in the underground Wormholes all witnessed the Land Patrol Battleship, an unstoppable behemoth on the move.

In Land Ship mode, it could traverse any terrain with impunity. Even a collapsed residential building or skyscraper in its path would be flattened.

The eight Tanks behind it also activated their Ground Effect Flight Mode, following closely behind the Battleship.

Their Defense Power wasn’t high enough for them to operate independently, so they could only travel over the flat, rubble-strewn path cleared by the Land Patrol Battleship.

Even so, the fleet maintained a speed of one hundred kilometers per hour through the ruined cityscape, faster than even a heavy tank could advance.

It truly lived up to the name "Land Ship."

It could traverse any terrain as if it were level ground.

While on the move, Lin Feng used his upgraded Mind Sensing Skill to detect Swarms gathered in certain ruins.

He then relayed these signals to Chen Yanyan, which appeared on the Land Patrol Battleship’s data screen.

Chen Yanyan immediately activated the fire-control system, aiming the three Lv19 Machine Cannons at the targets. At the same time, she coordinated with the eight Lv19 Flying Wing Tanks behind them, providing each tank commander with the target coordinates.

As support vehicles, each Flying Wing Tank was equipped with five Shotguns and twelve Heavy Machine Guns with unlimited ammunition.

To be honest, this firepower already surpassed that of the flagship, the Lv20 Land Patrol Battleship. Plus, since each weapon had its own operator, their aiming and firing provided a more even Firepower Coverage than Chen Yanyan could manage alone, allowing them to kill more Zergs that slipped through the cracks.
