Chapter 275: Joint fleet

"My goodness, these past few days, I feel like I’m in a dream. It’s as if in the blink of an eye, the world has changed completely!"

"Indeed, I feel so confused right now. How did so many supply crates suddenly appear? And they’re all platinum and diamond-level!"

"Sigh, at this point, many Noah’s Arks have their own warships. I don’t know why, but I’m feeling increasingly uneasy. Does anyone else share this feeling with me?"

"You’re not alone, buddy!"

"Me too."

Many people are discussing it. The changes in these days have been truly immense. By now, practically every Noah’s Ark has its own warship.

This is both a good and a bad thing. The good thing is that various factions have the ability to defend themselves. The bad thing is that no one can be sure whether the factions armed with such powerful weapons will exercise restraint and avoid war.

Many people are feeling anxious. Worried that the worst will happen. War is not what they want.

At this moment, someone suddenly remembered what happened nearly ten days ago. This reminds me of when Waldo sank the Heavenly Dragon a little over a week ago!

If others follow in Waldo’s footsteps in the future, it will be a disaster for everyone! Those with ambitions plundering all around for their desires, the ones who will suffer will be us ordinary people!

"Sigh, but what can we do? We can only pray that this day never comes."

"Exactly!"

"By the way, has there been any news about Waldo’s Dawn recently?"

"You know what, I almost forgot! The Dawn has been awfully quiet for this long. We’ve basically heard nothing about it."

Someone remembered the Dawn.

It’s been such a long time, and there’s been no news about Waldo and the Dawn.

"Could it be that the Dawn hasn’t acquired any new equipment these days?"

"Hahaha, no news is the best news! You see, in this era, if you’re not famous, it just means you’re not good enough."

"Does this mean that the Dawn and Waldo haven’t obtained new warships? If they had, someone would have noticed, and it would have been announced!"

"But I’ve searched everywhere and found no news. That means the Dawn only has an old battleship now!"

"If they only have one battleship, they’re kind of weak! Not impressive at all!"

Many people found this statement quite reasonable. Quite a few people took pleasure in the misfortune, ridiculing Waldo and the Dawn Star.

A week ago, the Dawn was extremely arrogant. Having a battleship made them nearly invincible, unmatched by anyone. Other Noah’s Arks envied them but also feared them, afraid that Waldo would set his sights on them, bringing disaster.

But now, one week later, the world has undergone such enormous changes. The current Dawn Star is obscure, and the once mighty Waldo is now just an ordinary person in the crowd.

"Hahaha, I bet even Waldo didn’t expect that in just one week, the world would change so much!"

Others have already upgraded their firepower, while the Dawn remains unchanged, still having only one battleship! It’s really quite disappointing!

"Not only that, remember how Waldo had offended so many people before? I bet there are many people waiting for the day when Waldo and the Dawn become weak!"

"I seriously suspect that some people are discussing how to deal with Waldo, it’s just that we don’t know yet. Perhaps, before long, we’ll have the answer."

This comment received a lot of agreement from many people. Of course, there were also those who disagreed.

"I find it unlikely. The Dawn still poses a certain threat. Regardless of how you look at it, they have a battleship with formidable firepower. Anyone trying to deal with Waldo would have to pay a price; they’re not exactly weak, are they?"

In fact, at this very moment, a certain group of people has indeed made contact. They are the controllers of various Noah’s Arks, and many of them have had some conflicts with Waldo to varying degrees.

The majority of them are the ones who previously interceded on behalf of the Black Wolf but were not given any face by Waldo, leading to resentments. Combined with various other reasons, they have come together and are preparing to form an alliance to jointly deal with Waldo and the Dawn!

"We didn’t have the power before, so we couldn’t deal with him. We could only accuse him in words without causing any substantial harm. But the situation is completely different now. Our strength has undergone a tremendous transformation, and it’s time to demand an explanation!"

Exactly, this Waldo is ambitious. Once his power reaches a certain level, he might come back to settle scores with us!

We should eliminate this threat now!

"Agreed!"

"Agreed!"

Controllers of Noah’s Arks like the Dragon King, Power Ark, and many others are in a top-secret meeting. Previously, they had offended Waldo to some extent while advocating for the Black Wolf. Initially, they were furious when they learned that Waldo had violently sunk the Heavenly Dragon.

Their anger was mixed with strong apprehension, fearing that Waldo would come after them. Fortunately, perhaps due to Waldo’s limitations, he hadn’t attacked them yet. However, their sense of crisis hadn’t diminished.

In any case, Waldo was known for his ruthlessness and formidable power. Thus, as their strength saw a significant increase, they united with the intent to eradicate Waldo and prevent future troubles.

"Although Waldo only has one battleship, we can’t underestimate him. We should be cautious to avoid any hidden tricks on his part!" The controller of the King Ark said.

"Hidden tricks? You’re overestimating Waldo!"

The strength of the Dawn Star is really nothing special.

"Where would he hide any tricks?!" The controller of the Power Ark sneered with a hint of disdain.

It seemed he had difficulty assessing Waldo. In his view, everything Waldo currently possessed was a stroke of luck. Even the battleship wasn’t originally his; he had seized it from the Heavenly Dragon. In reality, Waldo’s personal strength was quite weak. If not for seizing the battleship from the Heavenly Dragon, he wouldn’t be where he is today, he opined, a sentiment the controller of the Dragon King Ark concurred with.

Reflecting on Waldo’s rise, they found it quite straightforward. If he hadn’t stolen the battleship from the Heavenly Dragon, nobody would know him. He might have been eliminated long ago.

Afterward, they discussed the specifics of their plan. First and foremost, they needed to monitor the movements of the Dawn Star.

Next, they needed to assemble a joint fleet to move to the frontlines. Moreover, this joint fleet required a commander. Otherwise, it could easily become fragmented and picked off by the enemy one by one. Although they couldn’t see through Waldo, they were cautious when devising their plan.

However, when discussing the specific implementation of their plan, they encountered differences of opinion. Some believed in the saying "catch the thief first."

They argued that if they eliminated Waldo first, the Dawn Star would be leaderless and fall into chaos. At that point, wouldn’t they be at their mercy?

The controller of the Noah’s Ark Without Marks said, "If Waldo dies, we might not even need to take action. The Dawn Star might surrender voluntarily. This way, we can avoid large-scale casualties. Moreover, there are clear anti-war sentiments among the survivors. If a large-scale naval battle erupts, it won’t reflect well on our reputation!"

This argument made sense. Catching the thief first. Killing Waldo could lead to victory without the need for greater casualties, and it wouldn’t tarnish their reputation. Nobody wanted to bear the stigma of being warmongers.

However, some disagreed with this plan. They believed that capturing the leader was difficult to execute. It was well known that Waldo had formidable individual strength.

Even the ruthless brothers, the Black Wolf and the Gray Wolf, weren’t his match. So, who could kill Waldo? Only using cannons and missiles to kill Waldo and sink the Dawn Star would be the safest option.

The controller of the Power Ark said, "Catch the thief first? It sounds simple, but let me ask you, who will kill Waldo? Which one of you can guarantee that you can defeat Waldo? I believe none of you here have that capability!"

Abandoning this unrealistic notion, we can completely sink the Dawn Star with superior firepower and send Waldo back to the West. Why complicate things like this?

Public opinion? Reputation? Those things can’t be consumed; why bother with them?!

On this point, both sides fiercely clashed and refused to yield. Eventually, realizing the meeting was at an impasse, they decided to put it to a vote.

There were five controllers of the Noah’s Arks present. In the end, three of them agreed to assassinate Waldo first. After all, they valued their reputations highly.

Now, Waldo was the example of how public condemnation could ruin a reputation. Moreover, they preferred to end the war with the minimum cost.

The controller of the Noah’s Ark Without Marks smirked and said, "Now that it’s settled, let’s discuss how to kill Waldo."

Soon after, they worked out a feasible plan. One or two individuals couldn’t defeat Waldo, but what about five people? Could Waldo overcome five level 60 rulers? Clearly not!

Therefore, the controllers of the Noah’s Arks decided to dispatch one level 60 ruler from each of their respective arks to form an assassination team. They would head to the Dawn Star and swiftly eliminate Waldo, catching him off guard.

After the decision was made, the representatives from each faction left to make preparations. One day later, the level 60 rulers from various factions met at the designated location. They then boarded yachts and set sail for the Dawn Star under the cover of night.

Meanwhile, a joint fleet consisting of one destroyer, two frigates, and two battleships sailed across the vast ocean. Their target was clear – the Dawn Star. This was a formidable fleet, and nobody dared to provoke them.

As some detected this fleet on radar, fear and trepidation overcame them, worried that they might become targets.

"Oh my goodness, where is this fleet headed? With its size, there’s probably no opponent! It’s sweeping across the major forces of the sea, and it’s not excessive at all!" one person muttered to themselves.

Another turned pale and muttered, "I have a feeling that the sea is churning beneath the calm surface, and a storm is about to brew. Right now, it might just be the calm before the storm."
