Chapter 270: Super Stealth Destroyer
Not long after, Waldo spotted the Black Wolf’s silhouette. At this moment, the Black Wolf was on a speedboat, having escaped a considerable distance.
Under normal circumstances, there was virtually no one who could catch up to him. Unfortunately, luck was not on his side. He encountered Waldo!
"Is it safe now, this far away? They can’t catch up, can they?"
The Black Wolf felt a sense of relief as if he had narrowly escaped a disaster. Glancing behind him, the closest pursuer was just a tiny speck, about to disappear from his sight. It seemed nearly impossible for them to catch him!
"Damn it! Waldo, I’ll remember this grudge! I won’t rest until I’ve avenged this! One day, I will make you pay a heavy price! The Black Wolf gritted his teeth."
If he ever had the chance, he would be the first to tear Waldo’s body into pieces and cast him into hell.
However, in the next moment, a voice echoed, causing him to shudder. "Black Wolf, die!"
The voice was exceptionally loud, piercing through layers of space barriers, reaching his ears. Hearing this voice, the Black Wolf’s face turned pale.
This voice was the last thing he wanted to hear.
In shock, the Black Wolf turned his head. In the sky, a figure hovered, mockingly watching his distressed state.
"Flying? No, it couldn’t be! How could anyone possibly fly?"
The Black Wolf couldn’t believe his eyes. In this world, someone could actually fly! It was too unbelievable!
However, the Black Wolf couldn’t dwell on that. In the next moment, his face turned ashen. This was because Waldo in the sky had made a move. He was diving towards him, like an eagle swooping in for the kill.
"Die!" Waldo’s voice echoed in his ears repeatedly, resonating multiple times in an instant.
Soon, Waldo descended with a deafening crash, creating a massive splash on the surface of the sea.
Not only that, but the speedboat the Black Wolf was riding in disintegrated in an instant as the tremendous forces between them clashed upon Waldo’s landing!
Boom!
The sounds of their battle were exceptionally terrifying, illustrating just how powerful both of them were. It didn’t take long for everything to settle down. Waldo lifted the Black Wolf’s lifeless body from the water. His expression remained as cold as ever, tinged with a hint of disappointment.
A mere Black Wolf, nothing more, completely inadequate as my opponent. I thought I could find a formidable challenger to test my skills against, but it seems I was expecting too much.
Afterward, Waldo searched the Black Wolf’s belongings. With the death of the Black Wolf, this event had essentially come to an end.
Two hours later, the Dawn Guard cleared out some of the surviving members of the Heavenly Dragon who had attempted to escape. By this time, the Heavenly Dragon had completely sunk.
Waldo stood in the command center and gave the order, "We can head back now."
Subsequently, the Flame-class battleship set course for its return journey. Ten hours later, they finally returned to the Dawn’s Light.
The sun rose from the sea, casting warm sunlight over various parts of the Dawn’s Light. It had been two days since the Flame-class battleship had returned, and the Dawn’s Light had regained its rare tranquility. However, no one knew how long this peaceful and pleasant life could last.
The Dawn’s Light sailed ahead, accompanied by the Flame-class battleship on both sides. With an endless supply of diesel, there was no need to worry about propulsion issues.
A small team of Dawn Guard members patrolled nearby in speedboats, covering an area of about ten nautical miles. Their primary objectives were to prevent enemy reconnaissance and search for supply crates.
"To be honest, I get infuriated when I see the comments in the chat channel cursing Waldo. They’re all a bunch of idiots! I almost had a heart attack when I saw them – no, I mean, I almost had a stroke!"
"Seriously, there are so many moronic comments! They don’t understand the truth at all; they just keep bashing Waldo. It’s really frustrating!"
"I always feel like there are people behind the scenes inciting this, but I don’t know who!"
"Forget about them! In this world, strength is everything, and Waldo doesn’t care! "
"Exactly, you’re absolutely right. As long as they don’t mess with us, let them say whatever they want. If they dare to attack us, don’t blame us for not being polite!"
Four Dawn Guard members chatted among themselves. For them, patrolling was a long and boring process, so they had to pass the time with some gossip and small talk.
Just then, Calvert, the one with the keenest eyes and vision among the four, was gazing around. Suddenly, his eyes widened.
"Quick, look over there! What’s that?"
Calvert’s voice was filled with excitement.
"Look at what? We were just talking. Why are you so worked up? Did you see something?"
"What is it?"
Calvert’s companions turned their heads and looked in the direction he was pointing. In the distance, they spotted a supply crate floating on the water.
"No way, it’s a supply crate! This is a huge find!"
Instantly, the four of them became ecstatic.
"Hurry, hurry, let’s inform Waldo about this news!"
Under normal circumstances, they didn’t have the qualifications to do so, and doing this could lead to punishment. However, when it came to supply crates, it was acceptable to report directly.
Not long ago, Waldo had gathered everyone on the Dawn’s Light and told them that if they found a supply crate, they should immediately report it and wait for him to come and open it.
"Waldo, we’ve found a supply crate!" Calvert contacted Waldo with excitement and a hint of anticipation.
"A supply crate? Are you sure?" Waldo inquired from the other end.
"One hundred percent sure!" Calvert replied, his voice filled with excitement. After all, Waldo was his idol on the Dawn’s Light.
"Great! Now, protect the supply crate immediately and don’t let anyone near it. Also, where are you? I’ll come right over!" Waldo said with enthusiasm.
Since entering the Ocean Era, the contents of the supply crates had become somewhat different. Waldo had acquired a yacht, while the Black Wolf and his group had obtained a battleship. Consequently, Waldo attached great importance to them. Every time a supply crate appeared, he would rush to it immediately. This time was no exception.
"Waldo, what’s going on? Why are you so happy?" Alanna asked with some curiosity.
Just moments ago, they had been discussing their upgrades. Both Alanna and the other woman were already level fifty and had enough experience points to reach level sixty. However, they had only discussed half of the matter so far.
Waldo smiled and replied, "Good news! We’ve found another supply crate. I’ll be right back. Let’s talk about the upgrades later!"
With that, Waldo teleported away. Seeing his eager demeanor, both women couldn’t help but smile.
Not long afterward, Waldo flew directly to the scene.
Supply crate!
Waldo saw the supply crate that Calvert and the others had protected as soon as he arrived.
"Are you Calvert? Did you discover this supply crate?" Waldo looked at the tall, slender teenager before him.
Calvert, who appeared to be seventeen or eighteen years old, nodded in a somewhat anxious manner, stammering, "Y-yes, it’s m-me, I’m Calvert."
Seeing this, Waldo couldn’t help but smile. "Very good, you did well! You’ve made a significant contribution this time!"
Calvert nodded shyly in response. Waldo then shifted his attention to the supply crate.
"It’s an epic-level supply crate!" Boom! Waldo’s mind buzzed, and his figure trembled slightly. Waldo had to admit that he was startled.
An epic-level supply crate! This was his first time encountering one.
Waldo swallowed hard, trying to keep his composure. What could be inside an epic-level supply crate? It was bound to be a pleasant surprise!
Unable to contain his excitement, Waldo immediately opened the supply crate. In an instant, his vision blurred, and before him appeared an enormous warship.
It was an immensely colossal warship with a strong science-fiction vibe!
