Chapter 1331: Chapter 513: Gravitational Lens
Bang!
The Power Armor’s propellers burst into full power. Lin Xian descended from the sky like a sharp sword, quickly breaking through the scarlet fog to spot the Infinity racing through the ruins of the city’s rail line. At this moment, the Infinity, driven by KIKI’s telekinesis, was moving through the air in full form. Though close to the tracks, it ignored the condition of the railway ahead or whether the road was clear, barreling directly onward.
As the distance closed, the communication frequency reconnected.
"Lin Xian, are you alright?!"
"I’m fine, keep moving forward along the tracks, don’t fly upward!"
Leaving the railway would make finding the way difficult. If they lost signal in this scarlet fog, it would be like the blind feeling an elephant, which would truly be troublesome.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Just as Lin Xian landed on the roof of the Infinity, a tremor followed behind, with countless buildings and streets toppling neatly like harvested wheat. Dust rose spontaneously as a terrifying serpentine shadow charged violently through the scarlet haze at a scalp-numbing speed, so fast it defied imagination for such a massive creature. Before it, concrete city structures crumbled like gravel.
Lin Xian watched the raging scarlet storm condense around the Colorful Blood Python like a sticky entity, while other areas were notably thinner, appearing as a mass of scarlet mist advancing towards the Infinity.
"This thing swimming in the scarlet mist is unstoppable; ordinary physical armor would probably struggle to withstand it!"
In the cockpit, KIKI watched the monitor with a grave expression. "Lin Xian, let me handle it."
"No need, wait until it gets closer."
Lin Xian’s gaze sharpened. With the Mechanical Heart in motion, all the drones retracted to avoid being indiscriminately destroyed by these scarlet storms. Meanwhile, the heavy artillery on the train, under his telekinetic command, aligned to target the red mist area and fired!
Boooom!!!
The fire lines of three Type 1130s, accompanied by the electromagnetic railgun, tore open a gap in the storm like a torrent of metal toward the shadow of the Colorful Blood Python, sweeping across the area. Collapsed buildings and the snake creature’s writhing bone tentacles were all struck, the black-red force field flickering and repairing, but even under such firing speed, a few gaps appeared. A series of metallic downpours tore large bloody waves and bone fragments from the Python’s body, dropping like rain.
Swish! Swish!
The Colorful Blood Python was evidently enraged, its flesh twisting madly, diving into the scarlet mist and transforming into a transparent state, disappearing. Lin Xian frowned, sweeping all fire lines through the blood mist and soon striking it again in a void space, bursting large bone and flesh chunks, accelerating its speed. The blood mist instantly merged with the scarlet sky like a storm and disappeared completely.
Rumble, rumble, the massive body of the Colorful Blood Python astonishingly vanished into the world, leaving only crimson lightning exploding above the sky.
"It vanished? Be careful; it must be approaching us," KIKI said sternly.
"I know."
Lin Xian stood on the roof, repositioning all the heavy artillery to aim in all directions, firing into the void to locate the target.
With seconds passing, thunder rumbled through the sky. A strong scarlet wind lowered the dust on the ground like a sandstorm, dimming the city’s ruins, leaving only the fast-racing headlights of the Infinity piercing the darkness and the heavy artillery on the roof roaring skyward.
Then, above, within the blood mist, a faint black abyss slowly opened. The Colorful Blood Python didn’t pounce towards the Infinite Train; instead, a thunderbolt was gathering inside its eerie abyssal mouth!
Just as the Colorful Blood Python was preparing to launch some form of dark energy attack, a golden-red dazzling light suddenly illuminated the train roof.
"I was waiting for you!"
Empty!
All the heavy artillery on the Infinity suddenly ceased fire simultaneously, the energy beams of the three G3 electromagnetic rail cannons swiftly withdrawn, dimming. Lin Xian’s Power Armor emitted a high-energy electromagnetic screech, arcs crackling over him as he stood and raised his hand towards the black void in the sky. Behind him, three Phase Rainbow Rings from the Superstring Reactor instantly lit up!
Supercritical Diffraction Sword!
Buzz!
From Lin Xian’s right hand, the Diffraction Device Base explosively projected a golden-red Shock Sword, resembling a space-based weapon beam, instantly piercing hundreds of meters, its fiery edge scorched the air, illuminating the sky. It roared through the center of the thunder in the red blood mist above. A thunderous explosive sound reverberated, the front of the golden-red beam igniting the floating void, revealing a gigantic snake-like biological force field momentarily. Concurrently, a colossal blood python floating in the scarlet blood mist bizarrely surfaced, its skeletal maw illuminated entirely by the high-energy beam of the Supercritical Diffraction Sword, its critical temperature surpassing the Sun multiple times exploding into a rampaging wave of heat!
After piercing the Blood Python’s head with the Shock Sword, Lin Xian, without hesitation, grabbed his right wrist with his left hand and executed a diagonal slash!
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
The kilometer-long Diffraction Sword sliced through the air, unleashing dazzling brilliance. When it cut into the Colorful Blood Python’s body, the high temperature triggered a violent aerial explosion, causing the entire serpent’s body to completely disintegrate in midair, leaving only the front two-thirds!
"Now, will you die!"
Turning off the Diffraction Sword, Lin Xian gasped heavily within the Power Armor. He now had a considerable understanding of these scarlet monsters’ modes of operations. These things could not be judged by conventional logic in terms of their attack methods. Though it seemed like a serpent’s body, Lin Xian realized it wasn’t really ’crawling’; that manner of movement was more akin to swimming, like a sea snake.
