Chapter 999: Chapter 779: Future (Part 2)
When I ran on the playground, sometimes a fine, thin rain would fall from the sky.
Laughter and clamor drifted over from far away.
So gentle, as if everything would melt into the warm sunlight.
All that once was—those dim days, the hectic studies, the painful struggles—now, in memory, grew beautiful as a dream, tranquil and full.
You will have such a Future.
Every child ought to have such a Future.
In that instant, light emerged from Huai Shi’s hand.
The Book of Fate within his Soul opened, revealing the Chapters of the Miracle Imprint; those wailing shards of Divine Nature surged, and the God in the shadows shed silent tears.
Before him, Tong Ji’s Phantom appeared once more, lowering her head to look down at him.
"So you’ve decided, Huai Shi?" she asked. "To give up the Great Priestess’s transformation, to Sacrificially abandon this precious Miracle Imprint? This Miracle is limited to you alone, you know."
"If a Miracle can only ever be limited to me, then it has no meaning at all, does it?" Huai Shi looked at her and smiled. "The essence of Celestial Inquiry is sharing—wasn’t that what you taught me?"
"Give them a chance."
Huai Shi said, "Let them not have to live the way I did."
There will be someone who reaches out a helping hand to them.
—This world ought to have Miracles.
He smiled and closed his eyes.
In an instant, light and shadow reversed.
At the moment the gate of the Buried Sacred Place swung open, the Soloist who had wept in shadow opened her eyes.
Over the cracked earth, amid the collapsing ruins, countless shoots of green sprouted from the Ashes, spreading with the tide of the Crow Flock, while the vast, burning radiance of Divine Nature soared into the heavens!
Illuminating Hell!
As the "Miracle Imprint·Huaizhi Sushi" disintegrated, a solemn, sacred aura surged from the deepest part of the Buried Sacred Place; tranquil darkness rose up like a Sea, soft as mist, flowing out from within.
The God’s condescended pity and Mercy coursed across this land.
That darkness, utterly unlike Hell, spread and spread and spread, bearing the will of God, running to the four directions until it swallowed everything.
Shrouding the entire Tanbo Inner Circle within!
In the deepest reaches of the Buried Sacred Place, Huai Shi lowered his head, gazing at the cello in his hands, slowly lifting his healed arm to grip the Bow.
Thus, a Pieta-laden, tranquil melody began to sound from the deepest part of this Dreamland.
It echoed by every person’s ear.
An aria.
The G string murmured low, letting the gentle melody flow like a spring, lingering beside every tearful Soul’s ear, becoming a bridge that delivered this blessing and favor from the God equally into all suffering.
Without distinction.
Led by the vast Crow Flock, the Soloist’s Miracle ran across the earth, scattering the radiance of salvation.
Through a thousand pairs of eyes it stared upon the suffering mortal world, through countless ears it Listen‑ed to the wails in Hell.
Huai Shi lifted his eyes.
To empathically take in that vast, overwhelming despair and pain, allowing them to blend into his own Soul and Stigma, drowning himself.
In a daze, it was as if Phantoms from the past emerged, gazing at his face, voices from memory echoing by his ear.
"I’m begging you, Huaizhi-kun..."
On the hospital bed, the dying man gripped his hand so hard: "Everyone... I’m counting on you..."
Under the sunlight, the young man with dyed blond hair gave an awkward grin: "If I could just keep going to school, that’d be great."
Chiba Ryouni looked down with mocking eyes: "You want to make them better—but do they really want that?"
"But even a rats’ ship can still save more people, right?"
From the driver’s seat, Ueno turned back, smiling with absolute conviction. "It’s not just me—everyone in the Huaizhi Gang believes that!"
If it’s the boss, he can definitely do it!
Huai Shi gave a helpless smile.
Since when had the people around him begun to place such enormous expectations on him? As if he had truly done something remarkable.
As if he could really become a Hero who turns the tide...
Then, please—believe in me...
Huai Shi closed his eyes, letting the vast Divine Nature and the vast despair devour him. Smiling just like that, holding nothing back, he bestowed all his Power upon everything before him.
In that instant, within the Ivory Tower, in Luo Su’s arms, a Deep Sleep‑ing Black Cat opened its eyes and looked into the distance.
And Luo Su smiled, reaching out to stroke its fur. "Go, child. Your master needs you. It’s time for you to take the stage."
He let go, allowing the Black Cat in his arms to break free of its restraints, step onto the desk, stride forward, and dissolve into the void, heading to the place from which the call came.
That cat named War appeared beneath the Sky Dome of Hell, amber eyes blazing with radiant light.
The Codex of War began to run; blessings from the Heavenly Kingdom were bestowed upon the Hell Swarm, making the soaring iron crow cry out in a high, piercing call as it welcomed its final Metamorphosis.
In this moment, one thousand seven hundred and fourteen Yin Souls descended into Hell!
From within the Pieta‑laden melody, the radiance of Miracle fell from the heavens, arriving before everyone, bearing the Soloist’s words and the Soloist’s Power.
"I am Huai Zhisu People."
"I have come here on behalf of those who wish to reach out a helping hand, in order to save all of this."
He said, "My name is Huai Shi."
"Please, do not be afraid. I will stay by your side. The sun will rise again."
