Chapter 1047: Chapter 702: Xianglan Chamber of Commerce (Part 2)

"To hold a First Level Origin Point means you control a small patch of Star Space. In that patch of Star Space, among the many Zero Level Origin Points, you are the richest and the most authoritative. To hold a Second Level Origin Point means you control a large Star Domain. The countless First Level and Zero Level Origin Points all have to look up to you."

"In a single Star System, there are countless Level One, Two, and Three Chambers of Commerce; but for Level Four, Five, and Six Chambers of Commerce there’s a numerical quota—only when one leaves does a lower one get the chance to move up; as for Level Seven, Eight, and Nine Chambers of Commerce, there are only a handful, qualified to participate in the major decision-making of the entire Insect Clan Civilization."

—It sounded exciting, full of challenge.

Ink Orchid’s eyes shone as she asked, "Chairman White Ivy, a Third Level Origin Point can’t be bought, right?"

White Ivy: "Of course not. If you want a Third Level Origin Point, you can only head into Deep Space to explore, discover and open up a new Star System, and seize it for yourself."

Ink Orchid did a quick calculation and asked, "So that means newly rising Chambers of Commerce can at most develop to Level Six before they have to leave?"

"Not necessarily."

White Ivy explained, "It depends on the Insect. Some Insect Clan Warriors are brave and diligent, willing to take risks. Maybe when their Chamber of Commerce develops to Level Four or Five, they feel their Evolution Level is sufficient and their resources are enough, so they set out and leave. But some Insect Clan Warriors are timid and cowardly, addicted to a comfortable life, so they run off to rent land at a Third Level Origin Point and cling on, refusing to go."

"Oh~"

Ink Orchid said angrily, "If the old Insects won’t leave, how are the new Insects supposed to develop? I despise them..."

As they were chatting,

Fish Vine led in a Flame Spider that was also dazzlingly multicolored.

"Dragon Cypress Ant King, Ink Orchid, this is Chairman Kansui!"

Fish Vine introduced enthusiastically.

"Greetings, Chairman Kansui!"

Dragon Cypress, Ink Orchid, and Rainbow Mulberry greeted him.

"Hello, Chairman Kansui~"

Tie Bush followed with a greeting, then suddenly grew timid and shuffled to stand behind White Ivy and Silvergrass.

He couldn’t sense any Primordial Energy Breath from the other party at all.

Ink Orchid secretly swept him with her spiritual power.

Strangely, it was blocked by the fur on his body surface.

She then secretly activated her Soul-Setting Ability for a sweep, yet she couldn’t sense the existence of the other’s Soul.

Way too strong.

The Evolution Levels were worlds apart; there was no way to pry.

Kansui stared at Ink Orchid for a moment, then praised, "What an impressive Mantis."

He then looked to Dragon Cypress and couldn’t help asking:

"Has Life-Extending Divine Good become as common as weeds? How many years did you two hang around on the Home Planet?"

"A few hundred years, I guess..."

Dragon Cypress mumbled in his own defense, "We were waiting for three Wild God-Given Seeds to evolve to Evolution King Level, so we left a bit late."

Kansui was half-convinced and asked, "Have you seen the Shanglu Divine Tree?"

Dragon Cypress answered truthfully, "Regrettably, no."

Ink Orchid smoothed things over, "We heard the Shanglu Divine Tree doesn’t like outsiders and has a bad temper, so Dragon Cypress and I decided not to bother it."

"Cautious Ant and Mantis."

Kansui said, "I also came out from the Shanglu Ancestral Land on the Home Planet. Back then I also wanted to condense a few more Shanglu Divine Patterns before leaving, and the Shanglu Divine Tree would fly into a rage at the drop of a hat, threatening to break my legs..."

As Kansui spoke, his words cut off abruptly, and he asked, "I heard you exchanged Divine-Given Seeds for Shanglu Fruit?"

"Yes—"

Dragon Cypress explained, "We led the Wanglan Continent Ant Clan and Bee Clan against the Stone Hunt Blue Ant Kingdom. Among the spoils of war we seized was a crucial Divine God-Given Seed. We figured that, on the whole continent, the Flame Spider Clan had the best reputation, so we arranged to hand it over to Shanglu for safekeeping. Because of that we won the favor of the Shanglu Divine Tree, which gave us the chance to use Divine-Given Seeds to exchange for Shanglu Fruit."

"Oh—"

Kansui’s tone was completely calm as he slowly said, "I’ve heard a bit about that. Great Leader Dragon Cypress plotted an ambush that wiped out most of the Top-Level combat strength of the Stone Hunt Blue Ant Tribe, then acted as Commander of Zhibai and the Wanglan Continent Alliance, ending the more than three-thousand-year war in the Southern Hemisphere of the Home Planet. You grabbed quite a haul afterward."

Dragon Cypress: "...Not that much. I only took a tiny bit. Most of it was distributed to the other Insects."

Kansui didn’t believe him, but didn’t press the issue and skipped ahead, asking, "Establishing a Chamber of Commerce?"

Dragon Cypress: "Yes."

Kansui said nothing more, raised a claw, and pointed at the white-line square in front of the standing Column, indicating for Dragon Cypress to step inside.

Dragon Cypress complied.

Kansui stepped into the square on the other side.

"Open a Star Network Account."

"Alright."

Dragon Cypress complied.

After waiting a few seconds, a new row of characters appeared at the bottom of the Primordial Energy Screen before him:

[Name:]

Dragon Cypress controlled his Mind and entered [Dragon Cypress]

Immediately another row popped up: [Chamber of Commerce:]

Dragon Cypress controlled his Mind and entered [Xianglan]

The characters became [Xianglan Chamber of Commerce]

Another row popped up: [Chamber of Commerce Mark]

Dragon Cypress controlled his Mind and recorded an image of a Xianglan Grass in full bloom.

On the Primordial Energy Screen, above the Chamber of Commerce name, a Xianglan Grass Mark appeared.

Then another row popped up: [Assets: 0]

Prompt text:

[Chamber of Commerce registration fee: 10,000 Primordial Crystals]

[Chamber of Commerce starting capital not less than 10,000 Primordial Crystals]

Dragon Cypress instantly understood.

With his Mind he transferred 10,000 Primordial Crystals from his personal Insect account into the Chamber of Commerce account.

The funds were received.

Gone in a second.

"Alright. It’s done."

Kansui gave a brief explanation: "The information will be synchronized to Dawn, Lizhu, and White Crystal, the Three Major Star Systems currently ruled by the Insect Clan Civilization. Within the coverage of the Star Network, all sites of Level Seven and above Chambers of Commerce can handle Chamber of Commerce business."

Kansui asked, "You’ve got Wild God-Given Seeds to register under the Chamber of Commerce, right?"

Dragon Cypress: "Yes."

In the back, the Shanglu Divine Pattern on Ink Orchid’s forehead flashed, and a bunch of clay jars sealing leaves of Wild God-Given Seeds floated out, hovering by Dragon Cypress’s side.

Dragon Cypress picked one up, opened it, and took out a leaf.

He waited two seconds,

and two rows of characters popped up on the Primordial Energy Screen before him:

[Oak Tree · Variant · Divine God-Given Seed · Tree King Realm]

[Name:]

Dragon Cypress controlled his Mind and recorded the name [Wingless]
