Chapter 175 - 175 ⟴ The Mountain God as Tall as Mountains
T/N: I really couldn't identify who the hell this Mountain God is, but he's not the same as the God of the Mountain, which was the Spirit that was already killed by the MC. The names are similar and could be confused as a translation error, but the characteristics of the two are quite distinct.

"You've got to be kidding! This is the trump card that the Mage Associations were hiding in the Sankō Shrine? Could it be that the Demon King they serve truly exists?"
The towering black shadow loomed so massive that its size alone rendered people speechless. The waves of Cursed Energy it emitted were terrifyingly overwhelming, beyond anything ever witnessed.
Even Ryōmen Sukuna, the Strongest King of Curses, and Daiki Tsukasa, the Strongest Cursed Being in Jujutsu History, paled in comparison. The Cursed Energy within this Mountain God so vastly surpassed theirs that any comparison would be meaningless.

The Eastern European Mage Associations' Mages, watching the key to the Sankō Shrine shatter, stood frozen before erupting into mocking laughter.
"We thought we'd need to break the seal ourselves, but these Japanese fools have forgotten who their masters are~"
"You really think your little power lets you look down on everything? Today, the Demon King's pet will teach you what real power means."
The Mages and Great Knights all showed cold smiles.
Within Japan's borders, no Mage Association could compare — Tōma Amakasu's organization was the closest thing to an authoritative magical institution.

When the Divine Beast emerged from the Sankō Shrine, Tōma and his members displayed both fear and fury on their faces.
"It's over, it's all over!" He slumped lifelessly into his chair.
Daiki had not only ignored their warnings but dared to unleash the Divine Beast. Worse still, reports indicated that Mount Fuji had erupted, Japan's ley lines were once again disturbed, and supernatural activity had intensified across the region.
"Damn it!" Tōma swept the documents off his desk in a rage.
If only Daiki had shown restraint — how had it come to this?
"If Japan suffers any losses, you'll pay dearly for this!" His eyes blazed with fury.
Though Tōma appeared to be nothing more than a sleazy middle-aged man, his words carried genuine weight.
He was historically unmatched in Ninjutsu, Shugendō, and Onmyōdō, particularly in concealment techniques that evaded detection. Even the Six Eyes of Suguru Getō — the pride of the Jujutsu World with its 360-degree vision — couldn't perceive his presence.
While he might lack offensive prowess, his ghostlike concealment abilities would ensure the Jujutsu Inspector General lived to regret his actions.
That is, if he survived at all.
Stepping out of the archives, Tōma gazed skyward toward the Sankō Shrine, where black Cursed Energy billowed ominously. Such overwhelming power lay far beyond human capability.
"According to the records, before the Onmyōji era came the golden age of Demon Kings, who slaughtered Gods and claimed divine Authority. Near that era's end, the Bone-Eater's Well appeared, elevating the already formidable Demon Kings to even greater heights."
"Beyond the well lay a realm of endless bounty — an ancient land where mighty Yōkai roamed freely and Demon Gods defied all natural laws. The well's promise of divine power proved an irresistible lure to the greedy Demon Kings."
"Yet none foresaw that once the Demon Kings entered the well, their human subjects would rise in rebellion, ushering in the golden age of the Onmyōji..."
"Though the Mage Associations eventually toppled Onmyōji rule, Abe no Seimei outmaneuvered them all. He not only strengthened the Bone-Eater's Well's seal immeasurably but also cut off realms beyond humanity — the Magano and Spirit World — by sealing away Spiritual Energy itself."
"Now, as the ley line seals crumble and ancient Divine Beasts awaken, the time approaches to reopen the Bone-Eater's Well. The blood of this arrogant, ignorant Jujutsu Sorcerer shall herald this new beginning!"
Tōma breathed in the fresh air, his eyes growing cold.
In his view, Daiki was already dead — and he wasn't alone in this assessment.
The resentful Jujutsu Sorcerers began livestreaming Inspector General Daiki's confrontation to all supernatural forces, claiming they merely wanted to witness his technique. In truth, they sought revenge for his slaughter of the Kyoto Jujutsu Community, eager to show the Jujutsu World the price of his actions.

BOOM!
The terrifying tentacles accelerated with devastating force. Sonic booms and thunderous rumbles split the sky.
In one crushing instant, the tentacles shattered the entire Sankō Shrine. The mountain that housed it crumbled beneath their impact.
A mere graze from these attacks promised certain death.
The Bird Strike, powered by Black Bird Manipulation, struck the Divine Beast — yet failed to leave even the slightest mark on its defenses.
The spectating Masamichi Yaga and his companions watched in horror.
"This is terrifying! Even a crow's life-force-bound suicide attack — something that Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers must avoid — can't penetrate its defenses. Who could possibly defeat such a monster?"
Yūta Okkotsu and Yoshinobu Gakuganji fell silent at these words.
The unfathomable might of the Mage Associations inspired pure despair.
Satoru, his eyes bound in black bandages, clenched his fist — could even the strongest in the Jujutsu World stand helpless before this being?

In the midst of battle, Daiki attempted to use his Spirit Devouring Talent — but the Divine Beast's soul proved far too powerful, his soul force insufficient to affect it.
When his initial strike failed, the behemoth lashed out with dozens of black tentacles, cutting through the air toward his position. They reached him in an instant, accompanied by piercing whistles and thunderous roars.
Daiki's eyes narrowed in concentration as he brought his hands together, then spread them apart.

۞ Decay ⟴ Decompose Wave! ۞
A grayish mist erupted outward as the Divine Beast's tentacles sliced through the air. The spectators held their breath as the behemoth, coiled around the mountain range, let out a deafening roar. All eyes watching the livestream fixed on Daiki's form.
Though the black tentacles had torn a bloody hole through space itself, Daiki stood unharmed within the void.

"How is this possible!"
Tōma and the Eastern European Mage Associations Mages exclaimed.
In the Public Safety Devil Hunter Division, even Makima's usually composed expression gave way to astonishment, "This is... the power of Decay! Primal level?"
This clearly wasn't the power of Jujutsu Sorcerers or Onmyōji.
But how could Primal Fear level Devil powers manifest in a human?
