Chapter 21 - Shreya Is Back!
As soon as the fire sprite saw Kenji's menancing eyes, it immediately turned around and and ran away!
It knew Kenji was strangely immune to it's attacks, so if he kept on attacking, trying to kill Kenji, he was technically just waiting for his own death.
So the best idea was to just run away: escape!
Kenji looked at the fire sprite turning tails and running away and couldn't help but let out a chuckle. He never thought that he would ever see a sight where someone would run away from being scared of him, it was just comedical.
He then turned around and found the kids hidden behind of a tree.
" Kids, you can come out now, that bad flaming torch is gone now," Kenji said in a soft tone.
The three children, after hearing Kenji's voice peeped their head out a little bit to check if he was saying the truth, and after seeing that he was, they all came out together.
" Mr, is the creature really gone?" One of the girls said, a bit skeptical, as sh looked around with a cute puffed up face, that made Kenji almost caught out loud.
Though, she had all the right In the world to be skeptical. I mean how can an F rank defeat a B rank, it's never been heard off before!
" Don't worry guys, the bad monster is gone," he said confirming again, as he too looked around.
" Thank you sir!" The three said simultaneously, as they bowed their head down in appreciation.
" You're welcome, now c'mon keep your head up, there's no need to thank me to such an extent," Kenji said, a bit embarrassed. Rarely had anyone genuinely thanked him before.
He had mostly been thanked by fake smiles and malicious intent, so seeing genuine smiles and hearing genuine thanks, really made him feel like he had just breathed In fresh air.
The kids then raised their head up as Kenji had said, and they began staring at him, just like Kenji was staring at them. The air around became a bit akward, as they all stared at each other, in silence, a bit of curiosity could be seen in their eyes.
" Alright so where are your parents? And what are you doing here all alone in the middle of the forest?" Kenji asked, breaking the akwardness and bringing over a more serious matter.
He wanted to talk to their parents, I mean how can you let a bunch of cute kids walk around in the forest all alone with such dirty clothes? And they aren't even wearing shoes!
If he gets to meet their parents, he was definitely going to give them a piece of his mind!
Hearing Kenji's question, the children directed their eyes to the ground, as a disheartened exppression ignited on their faces.
Immediately after seeing this, Kenji knew something was up.
" Is there something wrong?" Kenji asked with a solemn look. It seems he had began to realize that there was probably some kind of dark backstory behind these kids.
* Could they be orphans?*
But before he could ask another question, he suddenly heard a feminine voice coming out of nowhere.
" Ohh, so you're one of them?"
Kenji looked around, wanting to see who it was that just spoke, but strangely, there was no one around him. It was just him and the three little children who were now looking at him strangely.
* Was I just hearing things?* He thought to himself, as he looked around once more to make certain that no one was here.
" Oh my! What a sad life you've gone through, and what an idiot you are!" The feminine voice said once more, making Kenji even more puzzled by who and where this voice is coming from.
" Oh! I could use this, should be more appealing," the voice said once more.
Now Kenji was sure he was not hearing things, but the puzzled look on the children's faces showed that they weren't hearing anything.
Meaning whoever this voice belongs to, only seems to want to talk to him.
" Who are you!" Kenii asked, as he raised his guard.
Immediately the kids became frightened, as they thought that the fire sprite must have been back!
" Oh my, so weak when you are so strong, what a waste!" The voice said again, making Kenji feel like he was running mad.
"Come out whoever you are!" Kenji exclaimed, looking around once more. But then he realized that the voice sounded a bit familiar, like he had heard that voice before. But for some reason, he just couldn't place his finger on where.
" Yikes! Cooking? That is so not your strong point. You should be thanking God that I'm here now. Anyways, enough sight seeing, I think it's time to begin!" Said the voice, causing more confusion to Kenji.
" Begin what?" Kenji asked, hoping to get an answer, but he only became dejected, as he was only greeted by silence.

" Do you think that mister has gone crazy?" One of the girls in the three children said strangely! The shocking part of what she had just said was that she had not spoken with her mouth, but rather with her mind!
They could communicate telepathically!
" I don't know I can still feel his brain waves and they are perfectly fine, he isn't mad, something must just be up with his earing, either that or he's just messing with us," the second girl said with a slight shrug.
" Let's just wait it out and see what happens, I mean either way, I could just activate my ability and let him let us go without any problems, he's just an F rank anyways," said the boy, and the girls then nodded and continued to watch Kenji curiously.

" Initialization completed! Finally!"
" What are you initializing?" Kenji asked confused by the words of the voice again.
" Downloading data...or I think that's what it's called!"
" Agh! Who the f*ck are you!"
Pah!
Kenji suddenly slapped himself. How could he have forgotten that kids were in front of him, and here he was cursing, what the hell was wrong with him.
" Start-up complete... introduction begins...now!"
As those words were spoken, a bright red light flashed out of Kenji's head and fell onto his shoulders.
Kenji looked down at his shoulders and was shocked by what he saw!

" Shreya, is that you?!" Kenji exclaimed with a huge amount of shock coursing through him.
Yes, the red light that had flown out of his head had manifested itself into a tiny form of Shreya!
The godly Phoenix that had helped him escape death!
" Yes Kenji, it's me, the godly Phoenix Shreya!"
Shreya said with a proud look on her face.
" But how?!" Kenji said with a shocked smile. He was both confused and excited to see her.
Wasn't she dead?!
" Well you see, afte-"
Before she could finish her sentence, a loud shout from a man suddenly caught their attention.
" Hey given 'em back! Those kids are mine!"
