Chapter 1552: Impact

Boundary No. 5

Everyone saw Zack Lockwood going back to his tent. Their eyes were filled with disbelief. They had seen purple lightning flashing here and there earlier.

Now they understood it was Zack Lockwood who had rescued them by killing the humanoid foreign creatures.

Stella’s eyes filled with disbelief. She had wanted to see the strength of Zack Lockwood yesterday. Now, she had witnessed it.

She thought she was no match for him, let alone Warrior Stone. On the other hand, the expression on Warrior Stone’s face was not good.

He broke out into a cold sweat. If he had faced Zack Lockwood yesterday, he would have faced a crushing defeat. Now he understood Zack Lockwood was not afraid of the fight.

Instead, he was genuinely disinterested. Stone wiped the small sweat beads from his forehead.

On the other hand, the faces of the Thunderflame Faction warriors did not look good as well. Their group was shocked to the core.

No one expected Zack Lockwood to be this powerful. He had not only killed more than one humanoid foreign creature, but he had also saved others on the battlefield.

This was a quality no one could look down upon.

Those who were carrying resentment earlier started to change their minds. The presence of Zack Lockwood in their boundary assured them.

It was a record-breaking feat; hardly anyone could kill this many foreign creatures, including the disciples of the Faction leaders and the main elders.

They could kill foreign creatures, but not this many and at this speed. Slowly, everyone collected their thoughts and went back to their tents.

Kaiden Farley and his group left the place as well. Kaiden felt more threatened now. Now he understood why Master Austin overpraised Zack Lockwood.

"He is really that dangerous," Kaiden said to himself.

On the other hand, there were warriors from the Elemental Factions here as well. They were glad that they had not offended Zack Lockwood in the beginning.

Black Planet

Among the many towering, black stone-like structures, one was crowded with foreign creatures.

Inside one of the floors, the higher-ups of the foreign creatures were looking toward one particular room.

The room was open, but none of them went inside. Because from the outside, if one looked closely, they could see a wide crack in space inside the room.

The space crack had been opened by a powerhouse among the foreign creatures.

The space crack was connected to Boundary No. 5 of the Star University. They were waiting for the results.

But to their surprise, the widened crack was beginning to heal.

Seeing that, the faces of the higher-ups and the other foreign creatures changed drastically. This only happened when all of their foreign creature teams were wiped out.

As time passed, the wide crack in space completely healed. The higher-ups of the foreign creatures were stunned.

The faces of the other foreign creatures changed drastically as well. They understood that their whole team had been wiped out.

The higher-ups looked at each other. They were in the shape of humanoid foreign creatures as well. They communicated with each other.

Once they fully understood their team was wiped out and that the warriors on the human side had annihilated their foreign creatures, tension grew.

It was a serious matter. They had used many resources to allow their Powerhouse to descend and create a wide space crack.

They should have achieved something. Instead, they were totally wiped out. If they wanted to create another space crack, they would have to collect resources all over again.

It would take some time. However, they were not afraid of using the resources; they were scared of their own superiors.

In the meantime, they decided to uncover exactly what had happened in Boundary No. 5.

...

Star University - Dean’s Office

Dean Jerome saw the results of Boundary No. 5. He carried a wide smile on his face. He had wanted Zack Lockwood to kill the humanoid creatures.

Just as he had expected, Zack Lockwood killed many foreign creatures. Because of it, the wide crack healed faster. This caused a heavy loss to the foreign creature side.

If the foreign creatures did similar things again, he hoped Zack Lockwood would do the same. If things repeated, he believed the foreign creatures’ side would stop opening the space cracks altogether.

Jerome then thought about the higher-ups. Recently, he had been trying to contact them, but communication could not be established.

He wanted to contact them because of Zack Lockwood. It was on their orders that he gave special attention to Zack Lockwood and sent him to the secret land to find opportunities.

Now that Zack Lockwood had become a Purple Mark Warrior, he wanted to know the next plan from the higher-ups. Since the call was not connecting, he could only let Zack Lockwood stay in Boundary No. 5 for now.

....

Boundary No. 5

Inside the tent, I walked out of the bath and changed into comfortable clothes. I was sure that the next battle wouldn’t be anytime soon.

Then I sat on the sofa and began to think about the duel. I had faced the horned humanoid creatures back in the warrior camps.

But that humanoid creature had given a much tougher fight than the creatures that appeared here. I remembered that humanoid creature using dark energy to overcome the purple lightning power.

It had almost succeeded back then. Now that I am a Purple Mark Warrior, I was more excited to face them in battle, but the results disappointed me.

The horned humanoid creature which appeared today had average strength compared to the one that appeared back in the warrior camp.

Maybe I caught the others off guard and killed them. If I had given them some time, then anything could have happened.

I decided to verify this juncture in the next duel. Then I recalled the expressions of the others. My mouth curved into an arc. Just as I expected, everyone had an expression of disbelief and shock.

I think no one would have expected such strength. I doubt anyone will come to trouble me from here on out.

I knew the members of the Thunderflame Faction had seen me as well. But I don’t know what got into them. They are treating me unkindly.
