Chapter 289: Aftermath
"...Busy night?"
Nadia’s calm voice drifted through the hallway, cutting straight through Luna’s hysterical laughter and Kaela’s ongoing mental breakdown.
I looked at the violet-haired girl. She was standing a few meters away, holding a stack of dark grimoires against her chest. Unlike the others, Nadia didn’t look shocked. Her violet eyes swept over the open doorway, lingering on Alicia—who was wearing nothing but my oversized shirt—before snapping back to me.
Then, very faintly, the corner of her lips curved upward.
That quiet, knowing smirk felt infinitely more dangerous than all of Kaela’s screaming combined.
Luna pointed dramatically at me like she’d just uncovered a massive conspiracy. "See?! Even Nadia gets it! This bastard committed actual crimes against humanity in there!"
"Pretty sure humanity survived," I replied dryly.
"Barely," Kaela muttered. The wolf girl was still staring at my room with the horrified fascination people usually reserve for natural disasters. "You bastard, you could have at least cast a silencing ward. I have wolf ears, you fuck! Do you know what I had to listen to?"
Alicia sighed softly, crossing her arms beneath her heavy breasts, making my shirt ride up dangerously high on her pale thighs. "You people are overreacting."
"Overreacting?!" Luna shot back. "I couldn’t sleep the entire night! Three distinct women were screaming their fucking lungs out across the whole floor! How is this an overreaction?"
Kaela leaned in, a wicked, teasing smirk replacing her shock. "Didn’t expect our pure, holy Saintess to be such a filthy little slut. What were you screaming again, Eveline? Oh, right—’Yeah, fuck my tight pussy, Husband! I’m your dirty little—’"
"AHHHHH!" Eveline shrieked from inside the room, cutting Kaela off. Her whole face was burning red as she violently thrashed beneath the blanket. "Just kill me! Kill me right now!"
"I can’t live," Althea’s muffled, exhausted voice groaned from somewhere behind the ruined, cum-stained bedsheets. "I’m never showing my face in public again."
I snorted. Which only made the knight squeeze her sore thighs together in absolute mortification.
Kaela tried to push past me to get a better look inside the room, but I palmed her by the forehead and shoved her backward before she could expose Eveline’s naked, ruined body to the entire dormitory.
"Stop trying to embarrass everyone, mutt," I warned.
"I HAVE QUESTIONS!" Kaela yelled.
"You always have questions."
"Yeah, but these are important questions! Like how the fuck did you manage—"
"Alright, that’s enough," Cedric finally stepped in, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Lower your voices before the entire floor gathers here."
I glanced down the hallway and grimaced. Too late. Several nearby dorm doors were already cracked open. A few students were openly pretending not to stare while very obviously trying to catch a glimpse of the absolute debauchery in my room.
Wonderful.
Luna noticed the crowd and looked moments away from collapsing into hysterical laughter again. "Arthur, your reputation is actually finished."
"My reputation was never good to begin with."
"Fair point."
Meanwhile, Nadia had quietly walked closer. As usual, the conversations from nearby students died down the second she approached. People instinctively backed away from her dark aura, some even shutting their doors entirely. The atmosphere around her was always heavy.
I noticed it. Nadia definitely noticed it. She simply didn’t give a shit anymore.
Her gaze moved past me and into the room. The destroyed, fluid-soaked sheets, the torn lingerie scattered across the floor, and the lingering, heavy scent of sex were more than enough for someone as perceptive as her.
"The room smells like a fucking breeding ground," Nadia said calmly.
For half a second, nobody reacted.
Then Luna completely lost it, doubling over. Even Alicia had to cover her mouth to suppress a laugh. Kaela looked personally offended by the blunt accuracy of the statement.
I stared at Nadia flatly. "You know, somehow that sounded way more judgmental coming from you."
"I was being honest. It smells like sweat and cum."
"That’s what makes it worse."
Nadia’s expression softened ever so slightly before she looked away. It was subtle. Tiny enough that most people wouldn’t even notice. But I did. Recently, she had started reacting more around me. Not openly like Luna or emotionally like Eveline, but through small, dry comments and tiny shifts in her eyes. Honestly, that quiet attention felt far more dangerous.
Cedric let out a tired sigh, adjusting his glasses. "Alright. I think this disaster has entertained enough people for one morning."
"Disaster?" Alicia repeated, her tone dripping with disapproval. "That feels unnecessarily rude. He completely filled me up. It was wonderful."
Cedric gave her a long, exhausted look. "Alicia, your breasts are practically falling out of that shirt, and your neck is covered in purple bite marks."
The Saintess blinked once before calmly pulling the oversized collar slightly higher, completely unbothered. "That seems manageable."
I nearly laughed.
Kaela looked physically pained. "How are you this shameless?!"
"She adapted to his degeneracy," Luna answered immediately.
"Stop saying that," I muttered. "You’re making me sound like some kind of villain."
"You are a fucking villain," Althea’s exhausted, sore voice replied from inside the room.
"Honestly," Luna added, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes, "I think the real victim here is Eveline."
A pathetic, muffled squeak immediately came from beneath the blankets.
"Please kill me..." Eveline whispered weakly. "Just smite me..."
That only made Luna laugh harder.
Eventually, Cedric stepped closer to me while the others continued relentlessly bullying Eveline from the doorway.
"I already know you’re a hopeless bastard," Cedric muttered quietly so the girls wouldn’t hear.
I raised an eyebrow. "That sounds rude."
"It’s accurate." Cedric glanced briefly toward Alicia, who was still arguing with Luna while physically blocking Kaela from barging into the room. Alicia looked completely relaxed despite the chaos, standing there in my shirt like she naturally belonged in my bed.
Cedric sighed softly before looking back at me. "Just don’t make her cry."
The teasing disappeared from my face for a second. No threats. No dramatic speeches. Just simple honesty from a guy who cared about her.
I glanced toward Alicia, watching the way her bare thighs peeked out from the hem of my shirt, before nodding once. "I won’t."
Cedric studied me silently for another moment before finally stepping back, adjusting his glasses with a tired expression. "Good enough."
Meanwhile, Luna somehow found enough energy to continue causing problems.
"Wait," Luna suddenly said, narrowing her golden eyes suspiciously as she peered into the room. "Does this mean Eveline officially joined your harem now? Are we gonna see her walking bow-legged to class?"
A muffled, high-pitched squeak came from inside the room.
Althea immediately groaned, her face buried in a cum-stained pillow. "Can everyone please just shut the fuck up?"
"No," Kaela answered instantly.
