Chapter 1213: Chapter 307: Wrath Unleashed IV
Six in the morning.
Black Blade Army Vanguard Camp—
The shrill magical alarm swept across the entire camp in an instant, as if a mountain collapsing into a tsunami. The black-armored knights were fully armed, rushing out of the rest area with clinking equipment, heading straight for their mounts.
Flying Dragons were spreading their wings.
Viscount Kuztar Poleman put down his monocular, the southern sky was shrouded in darkness, countless birds weaving between the lightning, creating an apocalyptic scene.
"It’s the Druids."
"Southerners have hit rock bottom."
He remained silent, mounted the saddle, and grasped the nearly five-meter-long Dragon Spear with one hand before raising his left hand high. The sound like a mountain and sea cried out as if exploded from the camp:
"Black Blade Legion, First Dragon Cavalry Group—"
"Depart!"
"Depart—!"
One giant beast after another soared into the sky, their extended wings blocking out the sun. Ground personnel watched the knights take flight, and in an instant a massive intercept formation unfolded above.
"Dalit, don’t screw up at the crucial moment!" Ground support shouted upwards.
"Screw you!" The knights above laughed and cursed, the young man raised his head, ahead, beneath the storm clouds, lightning roiled in gold and red, tens of thousands of raptors rushing forward.
"It’s the Arrow Hawks!"
"—Beware, they’re accelerating!"
The voices above shouted.
"Everyone, join the battle formation!" A serious voice came from the Magic Crystal.
"Roger, I’m rejoining the team."
"The first attack cluster expected in thirty seconds."
"Twenty seconds."
Dalit looked up, his eyes filled with warlike frenzy; the Black Blade Legion had been waiting here for a long time, and at this moment, everyone felt the blood in their veins boiling.
Viscount Kuztar Poleman gripped the Dragon Spear, his heart as firm as iron, silently calculating the time to strike.
"Ten seconds."
"Eight seconds."
"Two seconds."
"Engage—"
"For Erune!" At the instant, Ambeser’s sky seemed ignited by the massive sounds of battle, rolling and boiling.
Enormous black Flying Dragons and countless raptors passed by in a momentary clash, a storm of blood and gust, wings cutting into the whirlwind of feathers, bird corpses falling like raindrops.
But the Flying Dragon Knights were also enveloped by the massive resistance, the spearhead formation disintegrating in an instant. Warning cries, battle cries, and screams melded into chaos—the knights in front were torn from their saddles by the enormous impact, and the dragons, overwhelmed, wailed as they tumbled down.
Like black meteors—
Firestorms spread, blazing.
...
The buzzing discussions in the hall seemed to silence in an instant, the solemn Lockshebi Palace beneath its dome remained in dead silence, time frozen at this moment.
"Char, is that you?"
Highland Knight Commander Bunide Nobert stood tall; he was confident, his voice not loud but echoing throughout the hall.
A stir of astonishment.
Everyone looked at each other.
"Lord Bunide, did you say that name?" An envoy asked incredulously, standing from Golan-Elsen’s seat.
"Lord Bunide, are you certain you saw correctly?" Another councilman joined loudly, a confidante of Duke Viero, with whom Brand had previously encountered in the game.
Others were discussing, most eyes focusing on Char. "Ah!" the Countess suddenly cried out, looking at the young mage as if she’d seen a ghost: "Ah, how didn’t I notice before... it really does resemble!"
"Resemble what? What’s wrong?" Brand was puzzled, somewhat amused, amusing that Viscount Begning’s performance turned him into a clown.
But the situation now seemed beyond his expectations.
He couldn’t help but turn back, his gaze falling on his Mage Attendant as if reevaluating the person: "Char, it seems you’re quite well-known, can you explain?"
"Ha," Char laughed dryly: "Lord, I think they’re just mistaken."
"I don’t think so."
"Really."
"Then you’d better explain to them." Brand suddenly paused, hearing the sound of fighting outside the hall. He stopped and blinked, implying ’we’ll talk later.’
War had begun.
Char immediately understood his lord’s intentions, quickly turning back toward Highland Knight Commander: "Lord Commander, I believe you’ve mistaken me?"
