Brand silently nodded, he knew this part of history, the knight of Sky Blue shattered the Sky Dome bringing about the second epoch, yet the first ten centuries of the second epoch were still plagued by darkness spreading across the Earth. It is said Madara, the witch, and the Miner people were remnants of the Dark Dragon, and these were the main enemies Brand faced in the past game, although he coincidentally accepted Odin’s legacy, he still felt some resentment in his heart.
Otarais sensed Brand’s thoughts, inwardly surprised by the young man’s thorough understanding of history. The history she spoke of had long been forgotten, and only the Wizards in the Silver City State buried in scrolls day and night might know a fraction of it. But Brand, upon hearing, was not overly shocked. From these inadvertently revealed details, Otarais had already begun to feel slightly suspicious.

It was finally the Deer Demon Sister who reminded him that such boundary treasures typically have two modes of effect, one attached to an object, only affecting that object; the other attached to a field, affecting a certain range. Apparently, the Golden Radiance Battle Banner was the latter type; in such cases, one must wait for the Reset Stage to shuffle it back into the deck for future use.
Brand felt a bit helpless but also relieved. In the Amber Sword, there never was an equipment piece so strong as to be unbeatable, and perhaps the Destiny Card is the same. Besides, as the Deer Demon Sister mentioned, Travel Mages are not invincible; there are surely powerful beings in the current world who can contend with them, pointing out the Destiny Card’s strength is not without limits. In fact, Brand had long realized, the Destiny Card itself has numerous constraints, conditions for play and mana limitations. Moreover, Yi Lian informed him that the Travel Mage’s ’Earth’ is not infinite; the ’Earth’s capacity is closely related to the mage’s strength. She told Brand that he would understand this once he becomes a formal Travel Mage in the future.
