Chapter 471: Chapter 471 – A co-Luna is just an uplifted name for a mistress

Athaliah let out a soft laugh, but there wasn’t a single hint of real amusement in her eyes. The humiliation Ravyn had just thrown at her in front of everyone wasn’t something she could simply brush off.

She lifted her chin with fierce pride, refusing to let anyone think for even a second that she had been defeated. "No, Beta Damon," she said, her voice carrying across the gym with calm, unshakable confidence. "Keep the money. I have no use for it... unlike someone standing right in front of me."

The meaning behind her words hit everyone instantly. She wasn’t talking about Damon. She was talking about Ravyn. The Alpha’s expression darkened immediately. His jaw tightened and his eyes narrowed dangerously. "What exactly do you mean by that?"

Athaliah met his gaze without the slightest hesitation. She didn’t look intimidated at all. If anything, she looked faintly amused. "I only came here for two reasons." She raised two fingers, then lowered one.

"The first one already failed." She lowered the second. "The other one already succeeded." She turned toward Seraphine with a warm, genuine smile. "I came to build a partnership with Sera, and I got exactly what I came for."

Then her expression hardened as she looked back at Ravyn. "As for this pack... it stinks anyway."

A loud gasp swept through the room. Several warriors stiffened instantly, and even some visiting Alphas widened their eyes in shock. Nobody, except Seraphine had ever dared speak to Ravyn like that inside his own territory.

Ravyn’s face flushed with hot anger. Without thinking, he raised his hand, the slap only inches away from Athaliah’s face.

Then, a firm grip wrapped tightly around his wrist. The entire gym fell deathly silent. Corvine stood between them, his hand locking Ravyn’s wrist in place and stopping the slap before it could land.

His expression stayed calm, but his eyes were pure ice. "You won’t do that, Alpha Ravyn."

For several long seconds neither man moved. The tension between them grew so thick it felt almost unbearable.

Not far away, Voren immediately reached out to Kael through the mind link. ’Help Corvine stand with the princess.’ It was because Athaliah had stood up for Seraphine.

Kael didn’t waste a second and started subtly making his way closer.

Ravyn jerked his arm free from Corvine’s grip, his breathing heavy and ragged. "Corvine," he snapped sharply. "Stay out of this."

Before Corvine could answer, another figure stepped forward. Prince Jasper. His face was colder than anyone had ever seen it, his eyes burning with barely restrained fury.

"Alpha Ravyn," his voice echoed powerfully through the gym. "You actually tried to hit my sister... in front of me?"

Silence answered him. Jasper slowly shook his head. "I think it’s time for the Centenary Pack and the Silver Moon Pack to cut all ties."

The words hit Ravyn like a bucket of ice water. His anger vanished almost instantly, replaced by raw alarm. "It hasn’t come to that."

Jasper’s eyes stayed completely emotionless. "Hasn’t it? You publicly embarrassed my sister. You ordered her out of your pack." His voice grew even colder. "And if Beta Corvine hadn’t stopped you, you would have slapped her."

The gym remained deathly quiet. Jasper turned toward Corvine, the coldness on his face softening just a fraction. "Thank you." He offered a respectful nod. "I’ll take it from here."

Corvine slowly released a breath and stepped back just enough to give Jasper room, though he stayed close enough to jump in again if needed.

Jasper looked back at Ravyn. "You said my sister was leaving. That means I’m leaving too." Another sentence followed right after. "So is my father."

Those words struck Ravyn harder than anything else. His face paled. If the Alpha King heard that his daughter had nearly been slapped, the consequences would be absolutely disastrous. "No," Ravyn said quickly, shaking his head. "This is all a misunderstanding."

Athaliah scoffed quietly. Jasper wasn’t convinced. "You humiliated my sister, and now you’re calling it a misunderstanding?"

Ravyn rubbed his forehead, his voice finally losing its sharp edge. "She insulted my woman. Twice."

Jasper almost laughed. "The only person who disrespected your woman... was you."

Several nearby Alphas exchanged glances, and even some elders nodded quietly in agreement. Jasper continued, "You divorced your former Luna, then refused to give Daisy a proper title. You turned the woman you supposedly love into someone people openly mock."

The words landed perfectly. More silent nods spread through the crowd. Not everyone supported Ravyn. Many only pretended because of his power.

Ravyn clenched his fists. He couldn’t deny any of it. "That’s why I’m fixing it. I made her a co-Luna," he said, his voice noticeably humbler. "The day after tomorrow... Daisy will officially be crowned Luna."

For just a second his eyes drifted toward Seraphine. Some small part of him expected to see sadness, regret, or jealousy, anything.

Instead, Seraphine smiled. Not a fake smile, but a genuinely satisfied one, like she couldn’t have been happier. The sight left Ravyn strangely unsettled. Why wasn’t she affected? Why didn’t she care anymore?

Before he could dwell on it, Jasper spoke again. "Co-Luna isn’t a title means there is a Luna. Alpha Ravyn, you can’t fool anyone here. A co-Luna is just an uplifted name for a mistress. Until she’s crowned... she’s still your mistress." His eyes settled briefly on Daisy. "And that’s exactly how she should conduct herself."

The statement landed like another slap. Daisy’s face burned with deep humiliation, and Jasper ignored her completely.

Instead, he reached over and gently took Athaliah’s hand, his protective instincts crystal clear. Then he looked directly at Ravyn. "You have two choices. Apologize to my sister, or the Silver Moon Pack cuts all ties with yours."

The ultimatum echoed through the gym. Ravyn felt completely trapped. Every single time he defended Daisy, something worse happened. Every single time.

His pride screamed at him not to give in, but losing the Silver Moon Pack’s alliance wasn’t an option, not now, not ever.

He slowly swallowed the bitterness in his throat and looked Athaliah straight in the eyes. "Princess... please accept my apology."

Athaliah smiled sweetly. Instead of answering him, she turned toward Seraphine. "Luna Sera," she said, respect filling her voice. "I wasn’t here when they crowned the mistress as Co-Luna, but I heard about it."

Her smile returned. "So tell me... should I forgive him... or should we cut all ties?" Her eyes sparkled with curiosity. "After all... he’s your ex-husband."

Every eye in the gym immediately swung toward Seraphine. Even Ravyn found himself waiting anxiously for her answer.

Before Seraphine could open her mouth...

Thud!

A body suddenly hit the floor. The loud sound echoed across the silent gym. Everyone spun around. Daisy had collapsed onto the floor.
