Chapter 377: Chapter 377 - Let’s see if the big, bad Alpha can handle me

Voren hesitated for a long moment. Of all the ideas Seraphine had thrown out there, this was the one that made him the most uneasy.

Bloodfang could be incredibly powerful, stubborn as hell, and wildly unpredictable whenever he felt like it. The thought of letting Seraphine interact with him directly felt risky, like handing over something dangerous without knowing what might happen.

Still, a promise was a promise, and he wasn’t about to go back on his word. After a long, heavy pause, he finally gave in. "Okay. Deal."

His arm slid around her waist, pulling her a little closer on his lap. The simple closeness brought him a wave of comfort, steadying the nerves twisting inside him. Meanwhile, Seraphine turned her focus inward, speaking gently to her wolf. ’Don’t be naughty, Marsha. You have to behave, okay?’

The plea had barely left her mind before Marsha fired back with that bold, cheeky energy. ’Come on, I’m the best thing that ever happened to you.’

Seraphine rolled her eyes internally. ’Marsha.’

’Just give me control and let’s see if the big, bad Alpha can handle me.’

Heat flooded Seraphine’s cheeks instantly. Unfortunately, the word "big" dragged up memories from the previous night that she’d been desperately trying to push aside, and her embarrassment only burned hotter. ’Alright. Just behave.’

’No promises,’ Marsha shot back as she was not willing to.

The second Seraphine handed over control, her eyes changed in color. Voren noticed the change right away, and a warm smile curled his lips. Marsha carried herself completely differently, the confidence, the sassy attitude, that mischievous spark lighting up everything about her. It was impossible to miss.

He gently brushed a few strands of hair away from Seraphine’s face. "Marsha, you’re being stubborn."

She blinked up at him with exaggerated innocence. "Am I?"

"Yes," Voren said, his expression softening with genuine concern. "Why haven’t you healed your human? She’s hurting, and I hate that I can’t do anything about it."

A playful look crossed her face, one Voren had never seen Seraphine make before. It explained so much about why Seraphine had been reluctant to let Marsha take over. Marsha was pure trouble, the kind that could turn everything upside down in seconds.

Before he could react, her hand moved with clear intent, directed at the zip of his pant. Voren caught it immediately. "Stop."

A dramatic pout formed on her lips. "You’re no fun."

His grip stayed firm but gentle. "If Sera wanted it, that would be different. But I’m not doing anything while you’re the one in control."

Marsha sighed heavily, leaning back. "As expected." She studied him with a grin spreading across her face. "I already told my reserved little human that she worries too much."

Voren looked at her suspiciously. "Told her what?"

"That her body will adjust eventually," she replied, lifting both hands in mock surrender. "Its her first time having a big Alpha like you inside her and that is the price to pay."

Voren’s jaw tightened, his voice turning serious and full of protective emotion. "She’s hurting. I don’t like that at all."

For a brief moment, the playful mask slipped from Seraphine’s face as Marsha studied him carefully, really looking at him. "You really hate seeing her uncomfortable, then you have to do it again. Wilder than before, or better still, let Bloodfang take over."

"What?" Voren could not imagine giving Bloodfang control during their intimate moments. His wolf would drain Seraphine completely because of his energy. Bloodfang never gets tired. Even he Voren never got tired when he got intimate with Seraphine.

Had she not complained of being tired, he would have buried himself inside her all night long.

"See? You are thirty-two, but still naïve. My little human hasn’t been laid for years and it’s the same with you. Take away the pain, the same way you put it there. I can help you."

Marsha stared at him for several long seconds, knowing he was considering it, then slowly smiled. Before Voren could respond, she leaned in far too close, her fingers unbuttoning his shirt. Voren grabbed her wrists right away. "Marsha," his voice was low.

Marsha turned him on, but he couldn’t do it with her in charge. "Give Seraphine control."

"What?" she asked, all innocent charm.

"Give Sera back control."

Another dramatic pout appeared on Seraphine’s face. "You’re impossible. Why don’t you give Bloodfang control? The two of us can do it better than you and my little human did last night, and trust me, the pain would go away before she knows it."

’She’s right,’ Bloodfang growled in Voren’s mind, ready to take control, but Voren only shook his head.

"I’ll give Bloodfang control because Sera wants to speak with him but letting you two take over our bodies for sex, Sera and I would have to decide on it first," Voren said firmly.

Marsha groaned theatrically. "Let me teach her a few things first. She learns too slowly. She won’t be in so much pain if she just relaxes and enjoys that big dick of yours."

Voren could feel himself blushing through despite himself. "And that’s exactly why I love her."

The words carried so much weight and raw emotion that they stopped Marsha completely. Genuine surprise flashed across her face for a second before she sighed. "Fine. I see why she doesn’t take my advice." Her expression turned exaggeratedly tragic. "You’re both boring."

"Marsha, are you giving her control or not?" Voren asked, his voice firm.

"Okay, okay." She rolled her eyes dramatically. "I’m giving her back control."

The shift happened almost instantly. "Goddess, V," Seraphine gasped as she regained control, her eyes widening. "Marsha blocked me the second I gave her control. What did she do?"

Voren laughed softly, the sound warm and relieved. "I noticed."

Concern filled Seraphine’s face. "I hope she didn’t do anything silly."

Voren’s smile widened. "She’s flirty, that’s all."

"I knew it," Seraphine groaned. "The slut."

An offended growl echoed inside her mind. ’Careful. I’m still here.’

Seraphine fought back a laugh. ’You know exactly what I’m talking about.’

’Whatever,’ Marsha huffed, then turned thoughtful. ’Why don’t you let me and Bloodfang spend some time together?’

The suggestion immediately reminded Seraphine of her side of the deal. ’I have to meet Bloodfang first,’ she explained. ’Then we’ll discuss something like that latter.’

Marsha perked up right away. ’So, you’re considering it?’

’Maybe.’ Seraphine quickly added, ’And definitely not here.’

’Why not?’

’Because the two of you might destroy half the room.’

Marsha sounded entirely too pleased. ’Fair point. As long as you’re considering it, I’m happy.’

Before she could say more, Voren’s voice gently pulled Seraphine back to the present. "Hey."

Seraphine blinked and focused on him again. His eyes sparkled with amusement. "Honestly? I almost fell for it."

Seraphine narrowed her eyes. "Fell for what?"

Voren chuckled, the corner of his mouth lifting. "She’s very persuasive."

A suspicious look crossed Seraphine’s face. "Now that you mention it..." Her attention sharpened with determination. "It’s your turn."

Voren’s smile faded slowly, very slowly. He already knew exactly where this was headed. "Sera..."

"Nope." She glared at him. "We made a deal."

Voren’s shoulders sagged a little. "I’m beginning to regret that deal." After what he encountered with Marsha, he could only hope for what Bloodfang might try to do with Seraphine.

"Too late." The triumphant grin on Seraphine’s face made it crystal clear she wasn’t backing down. "Allow Bloodfang control."

Voren stared at her for several long seconds, then released a deep sigh. The hint of pity in his eyes almost made her nervous. "I really hope you don’t regret this."
