Chapter 334: Chapter 334 – Your Possessive Boyfriend

Corvine shook his head, eyes locked straight ahead on the road. "Your possessive boyfriend isn’t breathing down my neck anymore."

He actually loved how crazy possessive Voren was over Seraphine, but damn, he had to admit it was stressful as hell for a guy like him.

He’d been raised and trained to serve, even though he came from a wealthy family. That kind of pressure could wear on anybody.

His words hit just right though, pulling a real, genuine laugh out of Seraphine, the kind she couldn’t hold back even if she tried her hardest. The word boyfriend sounded strange to her because she was never technically in a relationship before.

Now, it made her feel like a teenager. Corvine felt his own smile stretch wide across his face. For years he’d watched Seraphine carry burdens that would’ve completely crushed most people.

Hearing her laugh so freely like that? It felt like the best damn reward he could ask for.

"I’ve never seen this side of Voren before," she said, leaning back all comfortable in her seat. "And honestly? It’s kinda satisfying."

Corvine snorted. "Kinda?" His eyebrow shot way up. "Sera, the man follows you around like you’re gonna vanish the second he blinks."

Her cheeks flushed hot right away. "That’s not true."

"It absolutely is," he shot back, his grin getting even bigger. "If you told him tomorrow you wanted to go to the moon, he’d probably start building a damn rocket tonight."

Another bright laugh burst out of her. The image was totally ridiculous, but somehow it felt completely believable when it came to Voren.

A comfortable, easy silence settled between them for a bit before Corvine spoke again, his voice softer and way more sincere this time. "I’m really happy for you."

Seraphine turned to look at him, and the genuine warmth shining in his eyes hit her straight in the heart. "You deserve this."

Corvine’s grip tightened a little harder on the steering wheel. "After everything Ravyn put you through..." A dark shadow crossed his face. "I never forgot the nasty shit he said."

Neither had she. Some wounds didn’t just disappear completely. They healed just enough to stop bleeding, but the scars stayed.

Corvine kept going, jaw clenched tight. "When he challenged you and claimed no Alpha would ever marry you... I hated myself." Seraphine frowned deeply. "Why?"

"Because I felt so fucking powerless," he admitted quietly, voice thick with emotion. "I wanted you to end up with someone way better than him. Someone stronger. Someone who was truly worthy of you."

A huge wave of emotion swelled up in Seraphine’s chest. Corvine had always been right there, through every single heartbreak, every brutal battle, and every impossible situation she’d faced.

She reached over and squeezed his arm gently, her touch full of gratitude. "You were never powerless. You supported me in the best way you could, even when you defied his orders to throw me in the dungeon."

Corvine didn’t answer right away, but the grateful look in his eyes said everything words couldn’t.

The rest of the drive passed with easy, flowing conversation, and by the time they pulled up to the office building, they’d both switched fully into serious work mode.

The second they stepped into Seraphine’s office, Corvine turned completely professional. He dropped several files neatly onto her desk.

"We’re still recruiting more human employees."

Seraphine nodded. That had been one of their biggest priorities. He kept going. "The training program is going really well. Our goal hasn’t changed. We need enough capable humans to handle all the daily operations whenever we all head back to the pack for good."

"Good, and as soon as we return from the moon festival, we can have a meeting with the board. As for now, the weekly reports should be consistent. After the meeting, we can reduce them to monthly or quarterly reports."

Corvine nodded in agreement, then opened another file. "Zane and his team finished the major work on the second game." That instantly caught her full attention. "Oh?" A proud smile lit up his face. "I tested it myself."

Seraphine chuckled warmly. "And?"

"It’s addictive as hell," Corvine smirked.

"That good?"

"Worse," he said, shaking his head with a laugh. "I lost three whole hours without even realizing it." He pulled up the demo on his phone and Seraphine was seriously impressed.

"For serious gamers, this thing is gonna be a massive success." That game was developed as a result of responses from customers. There were those who were game addicts, so MindNest wasn’t serving their purpose.

Corvine wasn’t done yet. He opened another report. "You also asked us to look into small businesses."

"Right," Seraphine agreed.

"We’ve already started buying up several really promising ones. We’ll restructure them and pour the right investments in. Tallulah is undergoing training in the investment department under Emery."

Seraphine felt even more impressed; the expansion was moving way faster than she’d expected. He added proudly, "And the children’s game is almost finished too."

"So everyone’s keeping busy," she said with a big smile.

"Very busy," Corvine replied, leaning back. "The team is working their asses off."

The pride in his voice reminded her so much of the reliable, loyal Beta she’d always known. No matter what role he took on, those core qualities never changed.

"Thank you, Corvine." The real sincerity in her voice made him wave it off humbly. "I’m not done."

Seraphine motioned for him to continue, and he picked up another document. "I hired someone for the Deputy CEO position." Her eyebrows rose as Corvine nodded with total confidence. "Human. Very experienced. She starts next week."

Then he looked right at her. "I assume Voren told you about the position he offered me in the pack." The reminder brought the whole conversation from the previous night rushing back with full force.

Corvine spent the next several minutes laying everything out, the discussions, the plans, and all the heavy responsibilities Voren wanted him to take on.

By the end of it, Seraphine was completely speechless, her heart pounding with emotion.

"I can’t believe he did all that for me." The realization still felt totally surreal. Corvine chuckled softly. "He loves you, and from what I’ve seen, you’re the only woman he’s ever loved." The answer was simple, straightforward, and absolute.

"And because of that, he wants your life to be easier." A warm, glowing feeling spread through Seraphine’s whole chest. Corvine pointed at her.

"So stop worrying so much. Focus on getting your memories back." Then he grinned wide. "I’ll handle the wedding with the red head."

Seraphine froze, but her next reaction, only confused Corvine.
