Chapter 68: Chapter 68 Wedding Photos and Social Media Drama

Author

As the sun sank toward the horizon, it dragged a halo of orange light across the sky. Golden hues spread through the layers of clouds, spilling across the deep blue sea below, coating the water’s surface with shimmering scales of liquid gold.

Elara had slept through most of the morning. Alpha Dominic woke her up in the afternoon for makeup.

The photographer was already on the ship, and Alpha Dominic had set up their first wedding photo shoot on deck.

Elara stood on the ship’s deck in a beautiful ivory wedding dress with a long train. Her brown wavy hair fell down her back, catching the golden light. She had the most amazing green eyes that seemed to sparkle. Her nose was straight and her lips were naturally thin and pink. The sea breeze played with her veil, making the tiny diamonds on it shine.

Alpha Dominic stood next to her in a sharp black suit. He looked incredible. His bronze hair had hints of dark gold that caught the sunset. His amber eyes were intense, like liquid gold. He was really tall, with huge shoulders and a narrow waist. His suit fit perfectly and showed off his muscular build.

The photographer started giving them directions. He could tell this couple was going to look amazing in photos. "Groom, put your hand on the bride’s lower back!"

Alpha Dominic did what he said.

Elara felt his warm hand on her back right away. Her spine went straight automatically. His hand was so big it covered most of her lower back.

Alpha Dominic looked down at her and smiled a little. She looked so delicate next to his big frame.

"Good, now turn away from me!" the photographer called out.

At that moment, a flock of seagulls flew across the pink sky.

The photographer’s camera clicked fast, taking shot after shot.

"Perfect! Now change positions. Bride, keep facing away, and groom, stand sideways facing the bride!" he kept directing them.

Alpha Dominic’s amber eyes locked onto Elara’s shape. She looked so beautiful it actually hurt to look at her.

The seagulls flew behind them.

Something shifted inside him. He forgot about the camera. Forgot about everything. All he could see were her soft pink lips. His wolf was going crazy in his head, demanding he claim her.

His heart started beating faster. The fake marriage, the contract, none of it mattered right now.

She was his mate. His body knew it even if his mind was still fighting it.

Without thinking, he leaned down and kissed the corner of her mouth.

The kiss sent electricity through both of them. Elara’s breath caught. Her wolf purred with satisfaction. This felt so right it scared her.

It wasn’t rough or demanding, but soft and sweet. Like he was trying to tell her something without words.

The evening breeze lifted her veil at the perfect moment, making it sparkle with the sea.

The photographer kept taking pictures. "Excellent!"

He could tell these two had natural chemistry.

Only when the sun had completely disappeared below the horizon did the photographer finally wrap up.

"That’s good for today," he announced.

Elara turned around with a bright smile. "Can I see some of the photos? I want to pick one for Instagram."

Alpha Dominic raised an eyebrow, surprise flashing in his dark eyes.

[Is she actually going to post about them being married?]

But his excitement lasted only seconds before Elara selected a photo of herself with the seagulls from among their many couple shots.

A photo without him in it.

Alpha Dominic watched with amusement as she studied the image on her phone like she’d found gold.

Unable to resist, he asked sarcastically, "Really? That one?"

"It’s gorgeous," she replied.

"Right," Alpha Dominic smirked. "You’re really going to post solo wedding photos?"

Elara was momentarily speechless at his comment.

"Luna Wolfe, if you post that, the tabloids will have a field day wondering where your husband is."

Finally, under Alpha Dominic’s heavy sarcasm, Elara rolled her eyes and scrolled through their photos to find one that included both of them.

Though she picked one where Alpha Dominic only appeared as a silhouette in the background.

For the rest of the day, Alpha Dominic and Elara continued their photoshoot across three different sets on the ship - from a fake snowy mountain backdrop to an artificial beach setup. Each shot was perfect.

The photographer couldn’t believe his luck!

It had been a long time since he’d taken such amazing wedding photos!

Of course, it didn’t hurt that both the bride and groom were absolutely gorgeous.
