Chapter 135: Chapter 135 The Kiss That Shattered Everything

Elara

I started to move forward, my mouth opening to defend myself, when Dominic stepped completely in front of me.

"Are you really that dense?" Dominic’s laugh was cold as ice. "She’s my mate, Alpha Zack. My Luna. My wife. My everything. What part of that is too complicated for you?"

"And another thing," he continued, his Alpha power filling the air around us, making several lesser wolves in the crowd instinctively bare their necks, "who the hell told you I was gay?"

Dominic turned back to look at me, those incredible eyes of his crinkling at the corners. His voice dropped low and intimate, making my wolf practically purr inside me. "I’m completely obsessed with my mate. She drives me absolutely crazy."

My breath caught in my throat. Even knowing this was partly for show, the raw honesty in his voice made my knees weak.

My heart suddenly started pounding like crazy, and those amazing eyes winked at me before he leaned closer. "Luna Wolfe, let’s show Alpha Zack exactly how wrong he is."

Dominic’s face with those sharp, perfect features moved toward mine.

The sunlight above us hit at just the right angle, making both our bodies glow with golden light.

Here at this wedding today, he wore a perfectly fitted black suit, and my flowing dress caught the light, shimmering with every move I made.

It felt like we were the real stars of this ceremony, not the couple supposed to be getting mated.

Dominic let go of the hand that had been holding mine, only to cup the back of my neck in the next second.

His thumb pressed against that sensitive spot behind my ear where my pulse was going crazy. Heat spread through my hair as his burning lips found mine.

Right there, in front of everyone, he kissed me like we were the only two people in the world.

This wasn’t some polite peck on the lips. This was raw, possessive, claiming.

A clear message to every wolf watching.

The woman he was kissing with such passion was his mate, his Luna.

And she would never, ever belong to Zack Blackwood.

The crowd had gone completely silent except for a few shocked gasps.

Some pack members shifted uncomfortably, unsure whether to look away from such an intimate display between their Alpha King and his chosen mate.

All the blood in Alpha Zack ’s body seemed to rush to his head at once. His heart felt like someone had stabbed it, and that sharp pain instantly spread through his whole body like poison.

He’d always assumed Elara would come crawling back eventually.

That her "relationship" with the Alpha King was just rebellion, a way to make him jealous.

The reality hitting him now was devastating.

Elara had been holding herself so tight, her whole body wound up like a spring.

Now she couldn’t think at all. Every sense she had focused on this single moment.

On the man whose lips covered hers, tasting, coaxing, claiming her.

Alpha Dominic traced the shape of her mouth with slow, deliberate movements.

Deepening the kiss, then pulling back just enough to drive her crazy, creating a rhythm .

He kept going until her tense body completely melted against him without her even realizing it.

She found herself grabbing onto the front of his expensive suit jacket, the perfect fabric wrinkling in her fists.

Alpha Dominic felt her response and slowly pulled his lips away from hers.

Both their mouths were wet and shining in the bright sunlight.

His hand naturally moved down to her waist, that perfect spot his palm knew by heart, and he smiled with satisfied smugness. "So? Think that’s enough proof I’m not into guys?"

Alpha Zack ’s clenched fists showed bulging veins across his knuckles, his eyes black as night with fire burning in their depths.

But Alpha Dominic had zero interest in continuing this pathetic showdown. He’d made his point. Elara was his, completely and publicly claimed. "Come on, baby. Time to go home."

The casual endearment, spoken so naturally in front of hundreds of witnesses, sent another wave of whispers through the crowd.

Elara smiled for real this time. "Let’s do it."

Professor Williams, who’d been sitting with the other wedding guests, stood up and walked out with them.

Back at the ceremony site, the bride and groom on stage looked completely destroyed. The poor officiant held his microphone, running through every script he knew in his head, totally unable to figure out how to fix this insane mess.

Luna Nadia stared at Elara’s back as she walked away, her face showing a mix of complicated emotions.

Finally, Alpha Zack took a deep breath and announced coldly to all the guests, "Sorry, everyone. Today’s ceremony is canceled."
